Holiday in a beautiful holiday rental, “ ,” in Esens-Bensersiel on the North Sea The building housing your “Ferienwohnung Harms” is located on the northwestern edge of the historic town centre of Esens in the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel. The North Sea spa town of Bensersiel and the beach are just four kilometres away and are located directly within the unique natural wonder that is the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park,” a “UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site” since 2009.
The “Harms Holiday Apartment” is located in a house in a prime residential area on a cul-de-sac, within walking distance of the town centre of the beautiful old knight’s town of Esens, with excellent transport connections by car or bicycle to the very nearby North Sea spa town of Bensersiel and the nearby North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel. You’ll be staying on the northern edge of Esens’ town centre.
The tastefully decorated holiday apartment is approximately 50 square metres in size and is ideally suited for a wonderful North Sea holiday for one to three people, plus an additional toddler. It features a warm and bright design and is very comfortably equipped and furnished. You’ll find everything you need for a truly wonderful holiday here; for example, the apartment features a sunny, furnished, covered balcony with beautiful patio furniture.
It’s just a short walk from your holiday apartment to the pedestrian zone, “Steinstraße,” and to the market square of Esens, known as the “City of Bears.” There you’ll find lovely shops for a leisurely shopping stroll, as well as plenty to browse and marvel at. There’s a diverse range of dining options, including cafes and restaurants, both indoors and outdoors.
We’d be happy to tell you all about the amenities of our cosy and picturesque town, which is over 475 years old and features a historic town centre, as well as the “highlights” of the North Sea spa town of Bensersiel. For example, we also have plenty of events—both large and small—and museums. Or you can simply enjoy some true peace and quiet in your lovely holiday apartment and on its beautiful balcony.
For example, head north by bike through the idyllic East Frisian marshes and, if you like, along the “Benser Tief” to Bensersiel (What is a “Tief”? Want to know more? Click here on this sentence!). This way, you’ll reach the beach at a leisurely pace and feeling refreshed.
Of course, you can also get there by car in just a few minutes, but by bike, depending on your route, you’ll reach the sea and Bensersiel after 4 to 6 kilometres in a state of complete relaxation—having already breathed in plenty of healthy sea air—and you’ll be able to especially enjoy the beach and the many tourist, spa, and holiday facilities.
Our location is ideal for long walks, bike tours, and explorations of East Frisia’s unique natural landscape. This way, you can enjoy an active yet relaxing holiday on the North Sea and make the most of the region’s invigorating climate.
By car, you can reach Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel in 5 to 10 minutes. You can also easily reach both of these coastal towns and North Sea spa resorts by bus.
The North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel has plenty to offer for relaxation, sports, and recreation—for example, beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, swimming pools, tennis courts, surfing spots along the dike, fitness facilities, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, and much more.
Soak up the sun or explore the beautiful surroundings and the vast expanse of East Frisia by bike. In Bensersiel, visit the “Nordseetherme Bensersiel” water park, a modern, heated fun and leisure pool. It also houses all spa facilities as well as a modern wellness, sauna, and fitness centre. Or head to the beach at the Strandportal, featuring “Bennis Abenteuerland”—a covered beach area for children inside the Strandportal—as well as the maritime sports theme park with a circus tent and the seawater wave pool with a giant water slide.
Go for a walk along the dike or explore the unique “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park” nature experience—a guided mudflat hike is a real highlight; you shouldn’t miss it!
