We had a great stay and would definitely come back. The house was very clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals for our group. We had five kids with us ranging from 2–11, and the house was especially well set up for families. We really appreciated the thoughtful little touches like step stools for the younger kids and having plenty of life jackets available in both kid and adult sizes. The best part was the lakefront. The house is tucked into a quiet, private cove, so the water was calm and shallow near the shore, which was perfect with younger kids. We were able to fish, kayak, swim, and use the lake floats right from the property, and the kids spent hours outside enjoying the water. The house and property were well maintained, peaceful, and had everything we needed for an easy lake weekend. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very responsive whenever we had a question. Overall, our whole family had a wonderful time and we’d happily stay again.

About the host

Hosted by Emily Lim

Host profile image
My husband and I live in Northern Virginia with our young children, and we love spending time together as a family, being outdoors, and finding places where we can slow down and enjoy time away from our usual routines.

We enjoy hosting because we know how much thought goes into planning a family trip, especially with little ones. We wanted Cozy Haven to feel easy, comfortable, and welcoming from the moment guests arrive.

Why they chose this property

We chose Cozy Haven because it felt like a place where families like our own could slow down, enjoy the lake, and make lasting memories together. Tucked at the end of a quiet cove, it’s peaceful, private, and made for easy days on the water.

What makes this property unique

We’ve tried to make Cozy Haven especially thoughtful for families, particularly those traveling with young children. In addition to 125 feet of private shoreline, guests have access to kayaks, fishing poles, life jackets, inner tubes, canopy lawn chairs, beach towels, and linens. We also provide a amenities specifically geared towards young ones - like a Pack ’n Play, inflatable toddler bed, high chair, booster seat, books, and games so families can pack a little lighter. For us, the combination of privacy, lake access, and family-friendly details is what makes Cozy Haven feel special.
