About This Space

This three-bedroom, three-bathroom mountain cabin in Morganton, Georgia sits above the Blue Ridge tree line with wide-open views that stop conversations mid-sentence. It sleeps six comfortably, with enough room inside and out that kids and adults can each find their own rhythm.


The game room runs loud with arcade cabinets, air hockey, and foosball. The wraparound deck runs quiet with rocking chairs, mountain air, and a hot tub that earns its place every single evening. Every road to the cabin is fully paved, so you roll in easy no matter what you're driving.


The Space

The main living area opens up under vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings with warm pine walls on every side and honey-toned hardwood underfoot. A stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace anchors one end of the room; leather sofas and a woven area rug pull the space together. French doors lead straight out to the deck, letting mountain light pour in all afternoon.


The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a gas range, granite countertops with a center island, and a dining area framed by windows looking out over the ridgeline — morning coffee here hits differently.


A Blackstone griddle and a gas grill on the deck mean dinner can happen entirely outside if the weather cooperates. The covered deck section features a stone outdoor fireplace, wicker seating with deep cushions, an antler chandelier overhead, and a mounted TV, making it a genuine second living room. The hot tub sits ready whenever the mood strikes.


Down in the game room, a full-size air hockey table, classic arcade cabinets (Galaga, Pac-Man), and a foosball table give kids — and adults — somewhere to disappear for hours.


The upper level includes a dedicated work-from-home space with reliable connectivity, so a parent who needs to sneak in a few work hours can do so without giving up the trip.


All three bedrooms have their own private bathrooms. The primary suite features a large upholstered king bed with a wood-panel headboard, soft carpet underfoot, sitting chairs by the window, and mountain views that greet you every morning. The second and third bedrooms are comfortable and well-appointed, each with its own private bathroom, giving every guest genuine privacy. The cabin is pet-friendly, so the four-legged members of the family make the trip too.


Guest Access

Guests have full and private access to the entire cabin and all outdoor spaces, including the wraparound deck, covered deck with outdoor fireplace, hot tub, fire pit, game room, upper-level workspace, and both grills. Parking is available on-site. All roads leading to the property are fully paved.


Other Things to Note

The cabin is pet-friendly — bring the dog along! The dedicated workspace on the upper level has reliable connectivity for anyone blending a work day into the trip. Both the Blackstone griddle and the gas grill are available for use. Wood for the indoor fireplace and fire pit should be sourced locally per Georgia guidelines to protect against invasive pests — local firewood is easy to find nearby. Neighborhood

Morganton sits right on Lake Blue Ridge, and most of what makes this area special is water, mountains, and good food. Morganton Point Recreation Area is the local swim spot on the lake — $5 entry, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and worth every minute.


Long Creek Falls offers a gorgeous waterfall with a swimmable pool at the base, and Fall Branch Falls is an easy half-mile walk to a wade-in waterfall that younger kids absolutely love.


The Aska Trail System has multiple loop options ideal for families. For something genuinely unexpected, Tank Town USA — right in Morganton — lets you drive an actual tank and is rated 4.9 stars.


Smoked N Loaded in Morganton serves loaded BBQ potatoes with the same high rating. Mountain Provisions is a wine and beer bar with a solid bottle selection a short drive away.


Blue Ridge, about fifteen minutes out, adds Southern Charm, Black Sheep, and Harvest on Main for dinner options ranging from Southern comfort food to upscale New American. Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge does cider, fresh pies, and seasonal picking that kids remember long after the trip ends.


Getting Around

A car is essential for getting around Morganton and the Blue Ridge area. All roads leading directly to the cabin are fully paved, making arrival smooth regardless of vehicle type. Lake Blue Ridge, local trailheads, and Blue Ridge town center are all within a short drive.

All of our cabin rentals are fully furnished and include a minimum of the following, unless otherwise stated in the listing:
Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans. Linens for each bed, 2-bath towels, 1-hand towel, 1-washcloth per person listed on the guest list, dresser or closet for clothing storage, central heat & air, washer/dryer, vacuum and/or broom and dustpan, mop, internet, and propane gas grill. In addition, we provide a complimentary start-up supply of Toilet Tissue (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels, 4 kitchen garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing liquid, and laundry detergent for at least 2 loads. Many of our cabins include more than this basic list of inventory items. The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments.
