Your cozy getaway awaits in this stone house filled with years of history but freshly remodelled, painted, restored and stocked with NEW appliances, linens, towels, and furniture to provide a nice modern visit. You will definitely catch a glimpse of years gone by and still enjoy comforts and technology we cannot give up.
This quaint home offers a peaceful retreat in the middle of farm fields where guests can sometimes catch a glimpse of wildlife or hear the sounds of nature. Our living room offers Apple TV, wi-fi, a game table, plenty of seating and a working fireplace to add ambiance. The eat in kitchen is fully furnished for cooking, baking or just enjoying a take-out meal. For that family with children there is plenty of room to rope around the yard. You can even enjoy a smore at the firepit area - complete with seating and wood to burn when you day comes to an end.
With three comfortable bedrooms you can relax to the sounds of nature, and the darkness of stars. You will find two rooms with queen beds and the third providing a set of twin beds which can handle adults, The house features a large family bath on the second floor which includes a laundry for your convenience, A second bath provides a walk-in shower to save precious travel and sight-seeing time.
One of the best features of Sileing Guest House is that you are just two minutes away with your connecting journeys on Interstate 83 to neighbouring destinations like New Freedom, Gettysburg, Lancaster, Baltimore, Hershey and other Southern Pennsylvania sites. What does that allow you to do:

For our retirement we decided to move back to the family farm. Converting a bank barn on the property to our home which became a major project. This allowed the existing farmhouse on site to become a guest home.
Now we can welcome family, friends and even travellers to relax in a cozy home nestled among farmland but with easy access to shopping, food establishments and quick access to travel sites.

Why they chose this property
Farmland surrounds the property which can produce corn and soybean crops. Nestled in the crop you will discover deer peeking out to make their trek across the lawn. Three nearby ponds frequent migrating geese in the late fall and spring. Take a step outside and you can easily star gaze with the interruption on modern lights.
Our home can be a hub to some adventures during your stay. Trains, bikes, civil war history, orchards, farm markets and wineries. Excursions can land you in Lancaster County Amish Country, Gettysburg Civil War History or even a sweet trip to Hershey PA.
But one of the unique features is the quick access to Interstate I83 - which takes less then 5 minutes to reach. It also provides many modern conveniences if needed during your stay - such as Walmart, fuel, and an array of fast food establishments. The age of our guest home is one of the most unique features. One can only imagine the time, energy and effort to create this stone home in the early 1800's. Think of how many generations have walked the stairs - you can see time in the treads. This cozy little home was brought to life in the past two years - adding modern amenities such as air conditioning and electric fireplace for the cool fall nights. Mixing history with modern touches allows our guest home to stand above the rest.
