Enjoy your stay in our charming chalet, located in the heart of Hillesheim, the idyllic “capital of crime fiction.” With its prime location, the chalet offers breathtaking lake views and direct access to picturesque hiking trails—including the Bolsdorfer Tälchen—which can be explored right from the property.

Hillesheim is not only a popular destination for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts but also an important hub for hikes such as Stage 8 (from Mirbach to Hillesheim) and Stage 9 (from Hillesheim to Gerolstein). Experience the unspoiled nature and fascinating landscape that this region has to offer.

The well-preserved city walls of Hillesheim are also within sight and invite you to take a stroll through history. Be sure to explore the unique 1.5-km-long barefoot trail with 22 wellness stations, located right nearby, which offers pure relaxation for your feet.

Our chalet features a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy living and dining area, and access to the picturesque terrace, where you can enjoy the peace and beauty of the surroundings. With a total of two bedrooms, the chalet can accommodate up to 4 people and is perfect for families or couples.

Be sure to take some time to use our barbecue area and enjoy cosy evenings outdoors.

After you book, you’ll immediately receive a booking confirmation that includes a link to our digital travel guide. This travel guide not only provides you with all the important information about your accommodation but also includes personal recommendations from us. You’ll find tips on restaurants, hiking trails, and recreational activities, as well as many other useful suggestions to help you make the most of your stay with us.

No later than three days before your arrival, you’ll receive a personalised code from us for self-check-in via the key box. This allows you flexible and hassle-free access to your holiday home.

Hillesheim is home to about 3,100 residents, and the town offers far more than its size would suggest. In addition to a historic town centre, Hillesheim boasts a diverse selection of restaurants, cafés, and numerous shopping options that are sure to delight every visitor.

For those interested in geology, the Hillesheim region offers exciting opportunities for exploration. The geotrail and the numerous quarries, such as the Weinberg in Kerpen or the Arensberg near Zilsdorf, are just a few of the fascinating places waiting to be discovered.

In just about 20 minutes by car, you can reach the famous Daun Maars, while the Roman city of Trier and the majestic Eltz Castle are only about an hour away.

The Vulkaneifel region around Hillesheim is a true paradise for hikers and cyclists. A wide variety of hiking trails, including the Eifelsteig, the “Genuss-zu-Fuß” hiking trail, as well as the Kalkeifel and Kylltal bike paths, invite you to enjoy unforgettable tours through the picturesque landscape.

House Rules

1. Inventory and Damage

We ask that you treat our inventory with care and return used dishes to the cabinets only when they are clean and dry. Damage to furniture and furnishings can happen and is often easily repaired. Please notify us immediately of any damage that occurs.

2. Noise Levels and Quiet Hours

Please be considerate of our neighbors and keep noise levels in the holiday rental at a reasonable volume, especially when playing music or watching TV. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m.

3. Visitors

Your visitors are welcome in our holiday rental at any time for short periods. However, it is not permitted to allow unregistered guests to stay overnight in the holiday rental. If the number of guests changes, please inform us in a timely manner so that we can prepare the holiday rental accordingly.

4. Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire property.
Smoking is permitted only in the completely open outdoor area. Please keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke from entering the house.
If a smoke odour does develop in the property, we will have to charge you for the resulting special cleaning costs (e.g., ozone treatment).

5. Pets

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our holiday rental.


6. Security and Valuables

Always lock all windows and the front door before leaving the holiday rental, and be sure to turn off all electronic devices. We assume no liability for the loss of valuables during your stay.

7. Cleaning

Our cleaning service will perform a thorough final cleaning of the holiday rental after your departure, as agreed. However, we ask that you clean up any major messes in advance and leave the apartment swept clean upon departure.

8. Environment

We care about the environment, and we hope you do too. Therefore, please turn off the lights and all electronic devices when they are not in use. Conserving water also helps the environment. Thank you.

9. Electric Car Charging

Charging electric vehicles via wall outlets or the home electrical system is not permitted. Please use only our electric charging station in the private car park for this purpose.

10. Candlelight

Unfortunately, lighting candles is not permitted in our holiday rental.

11. Umbrellas

Please close and secure the umbrellas completely after each use. This applies especially when you leave the property, overnight, and in case of wind, rain, or an approaching storm.

If a beach umbrella is left open or not properly secured and is damaged or blown away as a result, you may be charged for the repair or replacement costs.
