5-Star Holiday Rental with a Panoramic View in Tecklenburg’s Old Town

This beautiful holiday rental measures 130 square metres, is located on the ground floor of a half-timbered house built in 1774 and listed as a historic landmark, and offers enough space for up to 6 people. It is located in Tecklenburg, Germany’s northernmost mountain town. A highlight is the sweeping view of the Tecklenburg region. On a clear day, the view even extends as far as the Emsland.

All rooms are furnished to a high standard. There are 2 bedrooms with modern box-spring beds measuring 180x200 cm. The bedding is hypoallergenic and features pure cotton damask sheets for a luxurious feel against the skin. Each guest receives three pillows and a nightstand with a modern lamp, where you can charge your cell phone via an USB cable right by the bed. We also provide a modern radio alarm clock and a box of tissues in every bedroom. Each room features a closet, a full-length mirror, and a dustbin. The larger of the two rooms also includes a desk (fully equipped for a “workation”), and there’s space for a travel cot, which we’ll provide free of charge upon request. A kitchenette with its own refrigerator and sink, as well as a kettle and a small Nespresso capsule machine, is also part of the room. You’ll also find matching cups and a small selection of coffee capsules and tea bags there. The small shower room with a towel warmer is en suite and is for your exclusive use. Here, too, complimentary cleaning and personal care products, as well as a hair dryer, are provided. An exterior door leads you outside to your own small terrace with seating.

The large, naturally lit bathroom is equipped with underfloor heating, a towel warmer, and a walk-in rain shower with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. In addition to the sink and toilet, a bidet provides extra hygiene. A shelf offers storage space for the items we provide free of charge: 4 toothbrush cups, a hair dryer, cleaning and personal care products, as well as hair care and shaving supplies. There’s also plenty of space for your personal belongings and your toiletries bag. Every guest receives 1 bath towel and 2 hand towels for use. A washer-dryer with detergent and fabric softener is also available free of charge.A clothes rack with clothes pegs, an ironing board, and an iron round out our laundry amenities for you. Families with small children can use the changing table with a changing pad, the step stool, the toilet seat, and a nappy pail.

Now let’s move on to the kitchen-dining area, which features real wood flooring and is home to the wonderful old fireplace. During the colder months, it provides cosy warmth and a comfortable atmosphere. Of course, we’ll provide you with firewood free of charge during your stay.

The kitchen itself is modern, high-quality, and equipped with everything you need for a pleasant holiday. The kitchen island features an induction cooktop with an integrated range hood, as well as the sink and dishwasher. Our pots and cooking utensils are of high quality. We provide you with a wide selection of glasses and tableware. You’ll also find freshly ground salt and pepper, vinegar, canola and olive oil, various spices, sugar, honey, and flour. A coffee and tea bar rounds out the extensive selection. Here you’ll find a kettle with adjustable temperature settings, a water filter for better taste, a drip coffee maker with filter bags and ground coffee (including decaf), cocoa powder, and a Nespresso Gran Latissima capsule machine with a milk frother, so you can prepare your own fresh coffee, espresso, cappuccino, or latte macchiato. The appropriate glasses and cups are, of course, also provided. A variety of speciality coffees and a large selection of teas are available for you.

A large dining table with comfortable swivel chairs invites you to enjoy meals and games together. A high chair is also available free of charge for your little ones. Various games and a selection of books provide entertainment and keep everyone in good spirits. In the apartment’s hallway, behind the fireplace, there is a small reading nook with a cosy armchair and a warm blanket. Here, you can read a book in peace or flip through one of the magazines provided.

Adjacent to the dining area is the small but cosy living room with carpeted floors. There you’ll find a cosy sofa with blankets and pillows, as well as a modern 50-inch 4K TV with Netflix, RTL+, and Magenta TV, plus AirPlay and Chromecast functionality and an HDMI cable. Using the Grundig compact stereo system—which features internet and DAB+ radio along with Bluetooth functionality—you can play your Spotify playlist with great sound quality. The sofa can be converted into a bed with a sleeping surface of 140x200 cm using the included mattress topper.

A space-saving staircase leads to the children’s room, which is also carpeted and equipped with a play corner and various games, books, and art supplies. The play mat measures 140x200 cm and can also be used as a sleeping area for the kids. A small sleeper sofa and another desk for working from home are also located in this 18-square-meter room.

Another highlight is the direct access from the kitchen-diner to the east-facing terrace with patio furniture. Here, when the weather is nice, you can enjoy your morning coffee or breakfast with a fantastic panoramic view. From here, you also have direct access to parking space 2 and the bike garage. Here, you can store the bikes and e-bikes you’ve brought with you, protected from the weather and safe from theft. You can also charge your e-bikes there and hang up wet outdoor clothing. A toolbox, a pump, and some bike care products are also available for your use. From here, you can enter the apartment directly and stay dry.

The house’s garden is located on the west side. Here, on the patio furnished with garden furniture and a parasol, you can enjoy the distant view and the spectacular sunsets. A grill with a charcoal firebox, utensils, and charcoal is available for your use.

Below the garden is Parking Space 1 with an 11 kW wallbox. Our guests can charge their electric cars here for a fee. We currently charge €0.49 per kWh (separate metre), which we will deduct from your security deposit after your stay.

The city of Tecklenburg charges a visitor’s tax (visitor’s tax). This must be paid in cash on site. It amounts to 1.60 euros per adult per day and 1.00 euro per child per day.

The security deposit of €250.00 will be refunded within 3 days after the apartment has been inspected.
