next to Chianti vineyards, between fields of grain, sunflowers, vegetables gardens and vines
there is the “Monteriggioni Suite”,
ideal dwelling for a couple desiring to alternate between moments of intimacy
and cultural and eno-gastronomical itineraries.

The Suite
A beautiful small stone house, located 300 meters from the historical hamlet of Abbadia Isola where you can find the abbey with the same name, built in the year 1000 on the via Francigena, a restaurant and wine bar. Continuing 2km by foot on the antique via Francigena, you come to the Castle of Monteriggioni, whose suggestive outlines can also be seen from the house.

Swimming Pool
In the large garden with a grass field in the English style, protected by high hedges, lies the swimming pool, surrounded by fruit trees (plums, cherries, pears, apples, walnuts) and many ornamental plants. The pool, which is for the exclusive use of the guests of the house, is 11 meters long and 5 meters with, with a depth of 1.20-2.00 meters, with optimal water quality, and a diving board. It is illuminated from the inside for stimulating night swims.
Next to the pool is an external shower and a pergola, shaded by climbing plants, with a table and chairs, sun chairs and loungers. The whole area is covered by wifi.

View
The house is partially surrounded by a covered porch where you can find a table and chairs for an outdoor lunch or relaxing reading sessions.
Inside, there is a large living room on two levels, a couch corner with TV, SAT, hifi, bookcase e fireplace, an eating area with a large table, and an area upstairs with a double sofa bed from which you can se the city walls of Monterigginio through the two windows.

Comfort
The kitchen, accessible directly from the porch, is equipped with microwave, convection oven, dishwasher, freezer, fridge, table and closet with washing machine, as well as a functioning portable barbecue.
The first bedroom has a comfortable double bed, a dresser and a large wardrobe; the other bedroom has another confortable double bed, french doors, desk with PC and printer, the downstairs bathroom has a shower and the bathroom on the first floor has a bathtub.

Francigena
The little house is on the via Francigena, the antique pilgrimage road toward the holy land, recently resurfaced and connected to several medieval centers.
One can make excursions on foot or by bicycle on the paths marked by the C.A.I. (Club Alpino Italiano), over which our guest will have detailed maps.

Territory
The little house is strategically positioned also for outings by car since it is located only 2 km from the highway interchange Firenze-Siena, on which you can easily reach Siena in 15 minutes, Florence in 30 minutes, San Gimignano in 20 minutes, Volterra in 40 minutes, Pienza in 40 minutes, and splendid typical villages of the Tuscan countryside, such as Radicondoli, Casole d’Elsa, Menano, San Galgano, Montecastelli, etc.
