Fehmarn an sich ist Geschmaksache. Für Fehmarn ist die Lage nicht schlecht. Zu Fuß gut nach Burg zu laufen und mit dem Fahrrad ist der Südstrand auch nicht weit. Die Küchenausstattung ist zwar in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles noch gut zu gebrauchen. Allerdings ist das Haus auch in die Jahre gekommen und nicht gepflegt (Extrem schmutzige Fenster, volle Fliegenfallen, fettige Oberflächen in der Küche, Garten zugewuchert und eigentlich nicht wirklich nutzbar). Die sanitären Anlagen sind mehr als nur aus der Zeit gefallen. Das Bad oben hat eine verkalkte Toilette mit nicht fest montierter Klobrille, eine Badewanne, bei der das Wasser an allen Seiten auf den Boden läuft, da die Silikonfugen fehlen, genauso wie beim Waschbecken. Waschen im OG ist somit nicht. Duschen kann man sich nur unten im Bad, wobei die Brause gefühlt seit 30 Jahren nicht entkalkt worden ist, was sich beim Wasserdruck bemerkbar macht. Darüber hinaus bekommt man dort nur sehr schlecht Luft, da das Bad unten extrem nach Schimmel stinkt und ein längerer Aufenthalt dort drin (mangels funktionierender Lüftung) eine Zumutung ist. Matratzen und Bettwaren sind alle vergilbt und volluriniert und teilweise mit Blut verunreinigt.
