What can you expect? Sanded-down floorboards, exposed half-timbering—a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort, as our holiday rental features contemporary amenities such as Wi-Fi, a TV, and fully equipped bathroom and kitchen facilities (dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, etc.)!
The 60-square-meter space includes a living room, kitchen, bathroom (shower and toilet), and a bedroom with a double box-spring bed! You’re welcome to request a high chair and a cot. Thanks to the two additional sleeping options (2 separate sofa beds that can be separated by a curtain) in the living room, we can accommodate up to 4 people here.
The holiday rental is located directly inside the train station building and was once staff housing. 2012 - 2015 After years of standing vacant, we extensively renovated the building and, among other things, converted the staff quarters into a holiday rental!



Red brick, light-filled rooms, and huge linden trees in the garden! We fell in love with the old DROYSSIGER BAHNHOF right from the start! It’s a house full of history—with charm, romance, and, above all, soul!
Built in 1897 by the Royal Prussian Railway Administration, the house served for approximately 100 years. In 1999, the so-called “Sugar Railway” line between Zeitz and Camburg was finally shut down. The stations lost their function.
The railway once brought economic prosperity, particularly to the regional coal and sugar industries, but the transport of workers and passengers also played a major role. After the end of the GDR and the accompanying economic structural changes, rail logistics were no longer needed, and the line became increasingly unprofitable. Today, the old railway right-of-way is home to the Zuckerbahn Bike Trail, which connects to the Elster Bike Trail
and also to the Central German Bike Eight.
After the Droyßig train station had stood vacant for 12 years, we purchased it at auction in 2011 and renovated it. But it wasn’t just the historic building that drew us to Droyßig. We’ve also grown fond of the town itself: its historic architecture, the many horses, the forest with its bike and hiking trails, and Droyßig’s nature and wellness offerings. Here, you can let your mind wander, unwind—and find peace! We now operate two holiday apartments. We’ve already hosted guests from over 30 countries. This has led to many interesting encounters—sometimes funny, sometimes quirky, and sometimes educational! And the train station? It’s somehow back in operation again, now welcoming travellers from all over the world.

On-site payment: Payment is due on-site in cash, via PayPal, EC card, or credit card, or in advance via bank transfer. Guests may cancel free of charge up to 5 days before arrival. In the event of a cancellation within 5 days of arrival, the guest will be charged 80% of the total price. In the event of a no-show, the guest will be charged the total price of the reservation. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in a timely manner to make arrangements, if necessary. Keys will be handed over in person on site. A baby cot with bedding costs an additional €10.00 per unit. Pets are not allowed. Towels, bed linens, high-speed DSL/Wi-Fi, and final cleaning are included.
