Friendly and helpfull hosts, beautifull domain, the cottage feels very authentic. You're free to use the little beach at the loch, incredibly beautifull spot. The domain is very remote, but we didn't expect anything less in the Highlands :)

Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber und Vetwalterin. Wie man sich ein original Cottage vorstellt. Sehr ruhig und abgelegen , aber mit sehr viel Charm. Atemberaubend schöne Umgebung. Leider hat uns ein heftiger Sturm unseren Aufenhalt verhagelt. Daher konnten wir die vielen Möglichkeiten dort nicht ausnutzen. Das Einzige, was uns gestört hat, war die Heizung, die uns nicht warm genug war und über Strom lief.

Das Haus ist wunderschön eingerichtet mit seinen alten Möbeln und geschmackvoll gestalteten Räumen und macht somit teils fehlenden Handyempfang wieder wett. Außerdem lässt sich die Zeit super im Haus und in seiner malerischen Umgebung vertreiben. Gleich nebenan befindet sich das Loch Rannoch, worin wir so manches erholsames Bad nahmen oder einfach nur seinen Anblick genossen. Mit dem Fahrrad, zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto erkundeten wir die umliegende Landschaft und kleinen niedlichen Orte, wobei wir die vielseitige Natur der Highlands lieben gelernt haben.Wer einen Urlaub im Stile alten Schottlands und eine Auszeit von hecktischem, modernen Stadtleben sucht ist hier im Birchtreecottage genau richtig!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem schönen Haus, in der grandiosen Natur und der tollen Lage am See. Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten um uns wohl zu fühlen. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin Frau Ludwig war unheimlich nett und angenehm. Sie hat uns viele wertvolle Tipps gegeben, die sehr hilfreich waren.

Er was geen wifi. Zelfs 4g/5g is beperkt beschikbaar. Dichtst bijzijnde dorpje is een halfuur rijden. Geen schoon leidingwater (turf bruin). Toilet- en douchgelegenheid is onvoldoende op orde. Verwarming middels electrische kacheltjes. Electra moet je apart afrekenen.De eigenaresse is aller aardigst maar heeft zelf niet door dat het vergane glorie is. Prijs/kwaliteit is totaal niet in balans.

Ich bin sehr überrascht und enttäuscht über diese Bewertung. Wenn Sie sich vorher alle Informationen durchgelesen hätten, hätten Sie gewusst, wo das Cottage ist und über welche Ausstattung es verfügt. Die Lage ist einzigartig und traumhaft schön, wer die wunderschöne Natur von Rannoch nicht zu schätzen weiß, soll bitte woanders Urlaub machen. Zu suggerieren, dass es nicht sauber gewesen sei und unser liebevoll saniertes Cottage als heruntergekommen zu bezeichnen, ist eine Unverschämtheit.
