We—Anke, Peter, Amelie, and our dog Paulchen—warmly welcome you to our cosy Landhaus Franken. Our country house is nestled in a beautiful, large garden on a quiet residential street with no through traffic.

The “Landleben” holiday rental is approximately 65 square metres and is located on the ground floor in the attic. The apartment consists of our “Landglück” room, approximately 26 square metres, featuring a French double bed (140 x 200) and a seating area that can be converted into a sofa bed. This allows the room to easily accommodate three or four guests. The holiday rental also includes our “Landfreude” room, which is approximately 15 square metres and features a covered balcony of about 4 square metres. It consists of a single bed (80 x 200) that can be extended into a French double bed (160 x 200) and a small seating area. A toddler bed can be added to either room.

Our holiday rental features a simple bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet, as well as a kitchen-living room with a kitchenette and seating area. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for self-catering. Smoking is permitted only on the balcony or in the garden.

As hosts, we’re passionate about the region and its people, so we love hearing about our guests’ hometowns and their cultural and culinary traditions.

Anke is the heart and soul of the house and will treat you every now and then to homemade delicacies such as jam, cakes, and pastries. Peter is an avid motorcyclist and can give you great tips for scenic rides with scenic viewpoints and places to stop for a break in Lower Franconia. Amelie is interested in all the topics that are currently trending among young adults and enjoys meeting up with her friends often to hang out. Paulchen, our Havanese, loves dog treats more than anything and announces our guests’ arrival with loud barks before giving them a friendly welcome.

Waldbüttelbrunn and its surrounding areas have a population of around 5,000 and are surrounded by fields, meadows, and forests. Just a few metres from Landhaus Franken, you’ll find bike paths, Nordic walking trails, and hiking trails. For children, there are several nice playgrounds within walking distance (approx. 350 to 900 m). In case of illness, general practitioners, dentists, and a pharmacy in the town centre are just a few steps away. In the neighbouring town of Markt Höchberg, about 3 km away, there is a paediatric and adolescent medicine practice for young patients. For your daily needs, Waldbüttelbrunn offers two supermarkets, three bakeries, and two butcher shops, all within easy reach. After eventful excursions into the surrounding area, you can stop by one of three different restaurants in town—all within walking distance—and treat yourself to a delicious meal.

From Waldbüttelbrunn, you can reach Würzburg—about 8 km away—with its World Heritage-listed Residence, the Marienberg Fortress, St. Kilian’s Cathedral, and many other attractions. Discover Würzburg’s diverse array of events! From concerts in historic venues to renowned theatres and art exhibitions—there’s something for everyone here. With its numerous wine bars, wine cellars, and wineries, as well as the distinctive “Bocksbeutel” wine bottle, Würzburg is the heart of the Franconian wine region. For tourists and locals alike, a glass of wine on the Old Main Bridge is a must. It’s best to leave your car behind and take advantage of the well-developed public transport system (several bus routes) between Waldbüttelbrunn and Würzburg.
