Fantastic accommodations and a very unique styled house. Close to town and all attractions but in a very private setting. Worked very well for my family.
Our family enjoyed this spacious private home at Christmas. The well equipped kitchen was great for dinner prep and cookie baking. The beds were super comfy and the huge trees around the lodging were nothing short of spectacular.
Extremely comfortable house that is only a quick 3 minute drive from Alyeska slopes. If we had any questions or concerns, management was only a text message away. We would definitely stay here again.
Had a great couple of days at this house. Great design and beautiful art. River nearby with trails. Very relaxing. Sarah was quick to respond and very helpful.
It was the perfect place to work during east coast hours and take advantage of the infinite Alaska summer sunlight in the afternoon to explore the area. There is a ton to do in the area! Sarah is a great host and the house was simply amazing. I couldn't stay focused on work calls while admiring the view from all of the incredible windows.
This is the second time we've stayed at this house and cannot say enough great things about it. It's proximity to the mountain is perfect for skiing. The house itself is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting in a relaxing hot tub after a long day on the slopes. Sarah, the property manager is amazing. Fantastic communication! We highly recommend it.
Another couple, my husband and I stayed for a long weekend, it was an anniversary weekend getaway!!! The place is so much better then the pictures show. Had great communication with the property manager. Even though your close to everything in Girdwood, this place was secluded and quiet. We ended up not eating out anywhere because the place was so peaceful and we brought enough food to make our own stuff.
This home was awesome for my 30th bday girls weekend! The views are unmatched and the property is nestled in the woods and truly feels like your own private world. I will say, sleeping arrangements weren’t quite what we anticipated. The listing says it sleeps 10, but not comfortably. There are two bedrooms and the remaining “beds” are pull out couches that left a lot of achey backs and sleepless nights for my party. That said, it may be wise to bring pillows and foam pads for the pullouts.
Our family of 6 stayed in this house while on a ski trip to Alyeska. The house itself is stunning - we read reviews of people describing it as an art museum and that’s very accurate! The design and architecture is impeccable. There are many small touches like the heated floors that made a huge difference. The drive to the Alyeska daylodge lift area was only about 5 minutes, and it’s not really walkable, so I recommend renting a car if you’re skiing. The check in and check out process was easy, although in the months leading up to the stay, the host would either take a few days to answer questions or not answer at all. It wasn’t a dealbreaker and that’s the only room for improvement we could recommend! We would definitely stay in the house again.
The property was as described and felt very peaceful and private, distanced from other homes but close to the restaurants and Alyeska Resort. It was a great home base to do day trip adventures to Whittier and Seward. We found Girdwood to be a welcoming town with all the amenities we needed and shops stocked with all the things we forgot to bring.
Sarah was a pleasure to deal with and communicated with us in a timely and efficient manner, answering all of our questions and providing recommendations.
For our winter visit, the house was already at a comfortable temperature and there was always hot water quick in the shower.
Overall, the house was well maintained and a pleasure to be in. My only constructive criticism is to have the cleaning crew do a deeper clean with attention to details like around the garbage bins and dishwasher where there were food crumbs/drips, the laundry machines and bits of mold in the steam shower.
This home has it all!!! We were very pleased with everything, from the heated floors, hot tub, gormet kitchen, and amazing views. The rooms were cozy with a fireplace in each bedroom and comfortable beds. We would highly recommend staying at this home!
At the home you feel as if you are all alone in the Alaska mountainside. Centrally located making it a great hub for Girdwood, Whittier, and Seward activities. The hiking trails out the back door we’re a bonus.
Wonderful place! Scenic and peaceful in a warm environment. Amazing structural features that enhance the flow and feel of the home. First class all the way…can’t wait to come back!
This home is aptly named Nirvana North. What a beautiful home and location! The home itself was modern, well kept, and very clean. The entrance off the garage looks like a little museum! Our party of 8 fit very comfortably. The home is also less than a 5 minute drive to an ice cream shop that we frequented our whole week there and to an Alaskan Railroad depot, which we rode to Seward. This home definitely beats staying at a hotel. It must be a dream when it snows!!
BEST VRBO stay yet!!! This property is one of a kind and the property owner/management is very responsive and easy as well as accommodating. We cannot wait to rebook! I also recommend private Chef Jason Anderson - icing on the cake!
