About this property

Spectacular Views -- A Mere 80' From Beautiful Lake Superior Shoreline

This lake home sleeps 6 with a queen bed in the master, a queen in the other 1st floor bedroom, 2 twin beds in the upstairs bedroom . The kitchen is fully equipped with spacious countertops with 3 bar stools, and the dining area comfortably seats 6. The authentic stone fireplace is wood burning. However in recent years we have gone to using Dura logs, which are not as authentic, but provide a nice fire that does not need to be tended for two hours. One duralog will be in the fireplace when you arrive and more can be purchased at the Holiday stations in town.

A tub, separate shower and toilet areas are in the master bath. There is an additional full bath on the first floor, and a 3/4 bath on the upstairs level. The lake home has internet. We do not have cable but rather,at the request of several renters, have Roku, which streams the popular streaming sites and live TV.

A spacious deck with grill overlooks the beautiful cove bay, with shoreline that has an expansive rock beach - perfect site for a campfire, skipping rocks, kayak launching, and bird and wildlife watching. This home is equipped with linens, towels(not beach towels),all cooking necessities, a washer & dryer, and games.

There is a restaurant in the Lodge adjacent to the property. The cabin is about a mile from Two h

Harbors which has more restaurants, a pretty waterfront with a lighthouse and walking trail, and a nice little Museum. There are 6 State Parks as you continue up Hwy 61 which provide beautiful views of the Lake and rivers.

There are 2 tennis/pickleball courts, and an outdoor hot tub and pool which are open from Memorial day to Labor day. There are tennis racquets and a pickleball set in the closet. We have also left some warm jackets in case the wind shifts over the lake and the temperature falls.

Quintessential cabin experience with nice convenience. Easy home base for heading off to explore or simply going 2 minutes north for the agate beach wayside stop. Our three young boys had a blast, would book again.

This unit was beautiful. We enjoyed the deck facing the lake, watching boats, ships, and all the birds. It couldn’t have been any better, coffee on the deck watching the sun rise.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was so beautiful and the view of the lake was amazing. The only thing that could have made it better was a private hot tub!

This Lakehome is in a prime location on the rocky shore with a stunning and magnificent view of Lake Superior. The Lakehome was so welcoming with all of its cozy north woods decor and great cabin vibes. Our family had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoyed watching and listening to the waves crash up on shore. The kids brought toy boats to play in the puddles on the point. At the same time, you are close enough to Two Harbors to see the big ships come and go which was fun for them. This Lakehome had everything we needed and we felt right at home. Mark & Jackie were great to communicate with as we planned our stay and they know so much about the area. This Lakehome was the perfect base camp for all of our North Shore adventures. This was my family's second stay in this Lakehome, and we'll definitely be back for another enjoyable adventure down the road.

Wow is this place a true gem. The hosts are incredibly helpful and the space itself feels like a true cabin the way it's meant to be. Cozy, inviting, close to water. The cherry on top is being just minutes away from Two Harbors. We are planning to stay here again!

About the host

Hosted by Jackie or Mark Nolan

Host profile image
This is our family gathering spot which we have recently decided to rent so other family and groups can enjoy it as much as we do. The photo is our daughter with three of our grandchildren skipping stones on the expansive shoreline that is just 80 steps from the cabin.

Why they chose this property

It is beautifully decorated with an 'Up North' theme with knotty pine throughout and furniture to match. It is a great location well off the road, which is unusual for North
Shore rentals. It also serves as an excellent place to start exploring the rest of the beautiful trails and parks along the Shore.

What makes this property unique

We love to kayak, and you can launch your kayak right from our bay. However, we do not provide kayaks in the rental.
