Beautiful, large private backyard w/ SALTWATER POOL.

"The Desert Haven", a beautifully decorated home is perfect for entertaining! The owner, a Palm Springs area luxury interior designer, has created a warm and inviting space, inside and out. This home features a 2400 sq. ft. open floor plan with volume ceilings, 4 bedrooms (one with French doors/separate entry off the front courtyard); 3 bathrooms; a game room loft with a pool table; four smart TV's, and so much more. The property includes an elegantly landscaped backyard where you will enjoy the spectacular mountain sunsets from the private saltwater pool and spa.
The Desert Haven is conveniently located less than 5 miles to the Coachella Music Festival/ Stagecoach event center. Stay in March and watch the BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament, also located at the IWTG, or take in the nationally recognized La Quinta Arts Festival in Old Town La Quinta. For those guests flying in, the home is less than 20 miles east of Palm Springs airport. Come visit The Desert Haven, any time of the year, you won't be disappointed!
In booking your reservation, please let us know if you would like the pool heated for your stay. To heat the spa is no extra charge but we do ask for compensation to cover the pool heating costs. It takes a full extra day ahead to fully heat, we charge $100. for your first day and $50. each additional day.

Our three generation family gathered in La Quinta at this lovely home. The spacious house was great for seven, we never felt crowded. The kids and adults all enjoyed the comfort of the house, game room, pool, and more. Although we ate out often, the well equipped kitchen made it easy to eat in when we desired. The owner was responsive to pre-trip questions and responded quickly to an unexpected issue that arose during our stay. We can recommend this facility without reservation.

Everything about this house was perfect. We just had our annual guys golf trip to Palm Springs and we enjoyed every minute of it. This house has plenty of room and the owners go above and beyond with the way the house is setup. There are plenty of restaurants around as well. This would be perfect for a family trip as well. I liked it so much, I might bring the wife and kids back for a few days. If you are thinking about renting this VRBO, do it. You won’t regret it.

Upon arrival, we thought the property was beautiful. The backyard looked amazing, and the interior decorating was top-notch. Unfortunately, several issues affected our stay.The large ficus trees in the backyard continually dropped leaves into the pool and onto the decking. I swept around the pool and removed leaves from the water every day.Inside, there was very little available storage for our belongings. In the bathroom, every cupboard and drawer was filled with towels. There were also no towel bars to hang our towels after showering, despite signs asking us to reuse them.In the kitchen, we found bags of flour and rice infested with weevils. My wife threw away the affected items and cleaned the cupboard. One package had an expiration date in 2022.The washing machine was dirty and gave off an awful smell when we washed our first load of towels. I cleaned behind the rubber gasket three times, running the machine between cleanings. Even after that, my wife did not feel comfortable using it for our laundry.Additionally, one of the toilets was clogged when we arrived.While the property made a wonderful first impression, these cleanliness and maintenance issues were disappointing and took time away from enjoying our stay.
