This was a beautiful apartment with 2 bathrooms, 3 large bedrooms, and so close to a train station. Highly recommend.

This apartment was a clean, modern space with three equal-sized bedrooms, a massive living room, functional kitchen, and two separate bathrooms. The place was significantly larger than expected and the beds were the among the most comfortable I have experienced in Europe. The combo washer/dryer was super handy, as were the provided hairdryer and iron/ironing board. Josephsplatz station was 1 block away and there was a grocery store downstairs that had everything we needed. Other reviews mention the music shop downstairs. We stayed Friday to Monday and only heard faint sounds at 0700, but the place still remained quieter than many hotels I’ve stayed at. 10/10. Would definitely book again for our next Oktoberfest visit.

There were nice things about this property but there was no hot water for half of our stay and the internet was unplugged and the coffee machine did not work. It seems like no one had been there for awhile. They did send someone to fix the hot water issues but even the repairman couldn’t figure out what was wrong with the coffee machine. I didn’t feel the value equaled the cost. Hopefully they can get the bugs worked out.

We stayed during a major heat wave and the host was thoughtful enough to purchase and provide 3 standing fans! Europe does not have A/C, so this was a lifesaver!!Check in was smooth. The host was quick to respond to questions and provided instructions in the apartment, that were in both German and English. Had a parking spot. The neighborhood was very nice, with a market right downstairs. Would stay here again.

I am all about fair reviews & giving people a chance. The check-in info took us to a tube stop 15 min walk away, Franz Joseph is a 2 min walk. On arrival we called to see if there was somewhere to store luggage, the host said he would call us back but never did. We returned at 4pm. The pin code to the door did not work. Access gained at 4:35pm after several calls to Agent. Apartment, stunning, modern, clean. Ready to relax. First day we were subjected to base of loud music it went on past midnight. Second night the same noise until 2am. At this point we reported it. We were advised that we must be hearing base from the music hall below. We investigated & yes the 3 bedrooms are above music booths which can be used anytime day/night. We were unlucky enough to have drum practice for our entire stay. The shop next door takes deliveries between 6/7am some weekdays & major construction opposite from 7am was the icing on the cake. Agent was responsive to start with but became defensive offering to move us to the mountains at 10pm the eve before our last full day as they could not control one million people in the city. The location of the apartment apart from the music hall is very quiet at night & you may be lucky not to get noise at all. Were we just unlucky, possibly but the music venue should be disclosed under VRBO regs. We are still waiting for appropriate compensation. VRBO have been unable to reach the host.

Thank you sincerely for taking the time to share such detailed feedback – we truly appreciate it and take every point seriously. We are glad to hear you found the apartment itself stunning, modern and clean – that means a lot to us. However, we are genuinely sorry that several circumstances affected your stay, and we would like to address each one openly. Regarding the check-in, we acknowledge there was an issue with the pin code and we understand how frustrating that must have been after a long journey. We are sorry for the delay in getting you access and have since reviewed our check-in process to ensure this does not happen again. As for the noise, we want to be fully transparent: the music rehearsal rooms below the apartment are an existing feature of the building, and we sincerely regret that their usage during your stay was particularly intense. While we have no control over when they are used, we understand that this significantly impacted your comfort, and we are sorry we could not offer a better solution in the moment. The early morning deliveries and construction nearby were equally beyond our control, but we fully empathise with how disruptive this combination must have felt. When the noise issues were raised, we acted as quickly as we could, including offering an alternative accommodation, even though we recognise the timing and location were far from ideal. We hope that despite these unfortunate circumstances, there were still moments you were able to enjoy. We are grateful for your honesty and will use your feedback to improve. Warm regards

This was a beautiful apartment and well appointed. Supermarket on the corner, lots of restaurants and coffee shops within a 5-10 minute walk and also near public transportation. Communication with the host was also very good. The biggest drawback to this property is it is simply in a noisy area. Delivery trucks in the early morning to the market, and an “anytime music” shop below which was really a problem since people can use these music practice rooms at any time of day or night (and they did). The worst was the drummer! You can’t hear the instruments per se, but you definitely hear/feel the bass since the practice rooms are located directly under the apartment. So what is sound proof to people walking by is definitely not sound proof to the bedrooms directly above them. Between the trucks and music venue below, it was really hard to get good sleep. It’s a shame because it really is a nice place.

Spacious flat in a nice location - short taxi or public transportation rides to Marienplatz and Munich's other sights. Bedrooms were large compared to other European rentals we visited, and the washer/dryer combo was convenient (though the fastest load still needed 3 hours from finish start-to-finish)
