Beautiful, Comfortable Home with Exceptional In-Town Location

Welcome to Moose Manor Bar Harbor. This is our home, and we would love to share it with you! Located on Federal Street, Moose Manor Bar Harbor is a 1904 New England-style house with all the upgrades and conveniences of modern living. Freshly painted throughout with exquisite, fully-equipped designer kitchen and a fully updated bath. All the comforts of home in one perfect location, walking distance to everything.

There are 3 bedrooms which comfortably sleep 6. One bedroom has a queen bed, the second has one full and twin bed, and the third has a twin. There is one bathroom (with a wonderful claw-foot tub!) on the second floor. Each bedroom includes wall mirrors to reduce demand for bathroom mirror time. Master bedroom includes a dressing table with light/mirror. All bedrooms have abundant sunshine and ocean breezes.

The front of the house features a wonderful enclosed porch with a bistro table/chairs, rocker and futon. Perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon nap. The soft sound of local seagulls is often present.

In the back of the house, just off the kitchen, you'll find a small wood deck with a Weber grill and chairs to enjoy the cool afternoon breeze while your steak is grilling.

The kitchen has everything you'll need if you choose to prepare some of your own meals during your stay, including some basic pantry items for your use. Top-of-the-line small appliances (including Bunn AND Keurig coffee makers!) are available as well. Other items include Belgian waffle maker, 4 slice toaster, blender, food-processor, Crock Pot, pots/pans and bake-ware as well as an OVER-SIZED lobster pot for boiling your own 'catch' right at home! Easy instructions provided.

Although you'll probably want to get out and enjoy all that Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park has to offer, the home is also supplied with 'rainy day items' should you choose to stay indoors. 32' LCD TV, and a wide selection of books and games are available for your enjoyment.

Perfectly located near town, within walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor. Off street parking means you never have to worry about a spot. Very comfortable home, with everything you need to relax, whether you want to dine in town or cook in.

Moose Manor was the perfect home base for our family to explore Acadia National Park. The home was immaculate, comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved being able to walk into town and to the waterfront with ease without worrying about parking. We are already dreaming about our return trip!

A wonderful house, exceptionally clean and organized. The house location is perfect distance to Bar Harbor marina, food and drinks, shopping etc… Driveway parks 2 vehicles and with it being only a 5 minute drive to Acadia was a huge plus. Highly recommend, the location made our stay our #1 trip !! 5- all the way!!

We absolutely loved this property. The owners clearly thought about the little details that help make a travelers stay even more enjoyable - books, games and puzzles, two golf size umbrellas (which we did use one night), comfy mattresses, good lighting for reading or knitting, several kinds of coffee makers, lots of information on the area. They also ensured all the things we expect as renters - a super clean space, instructions for appliances or things we may not use at home, check out requirements, excellent communication. I know I have rambled, but there is nothing not to like here. If you can get a reservation, do it. The house is charming, historic and perfectly located. The hosts are wonderfully caring.

Bar Harbor is a special place and Moose Manor was very comfortable and well located. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. Our host was extreme helpful throughout the stay with recommendations for anything we needed.

Perfect Bar Harbor location and extremely helpful host

Location is about as convenient as you can get for Bar Harbor. The house was perfect for our family of four. Paul was a wonderful host whose suggestions on activities and restaurants ended up being our favorite parts of the trip.

Moose Manor Relaxing Home

The house was so comfortable and relaxing! We spent our evenings on the porch. We brought a small tv with Roku to watch baseball games and played Yahtzee with the kids. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean! The host Paul was so helpful giving ideas of what to do and where to eat in the area. The home’s location is central to everything and there is a driveway to park so we walked the majority of the time. I highly recommend this home and will recommend it to friends!

Great Spot Close to Everything

We had a family of 5 stay the week of July 4th. The house is very close to downtown. The best part is the parking, which we did not appreciate prior to booking. The area was very crowded and parking was hard to come by. Luckily we had our own private driveway next to the house. Besides that, everything was clean and comfortable. Paul was also very responsive to any questions we had and also provided some great activity and restaurant recommendations.

We just returned home from a wonderful week staying at Moose Manor. The house is welcoming and immaculately maintained. The host provides everything you could possibly want or need, including private off street parking. The location is a perfect 5-min walk anywhere in Bar Harbor including shopping, restaurants, whale watching tours, and the Island Explorer buses…plus more! And yet, it is located on a quiet street without through traffic! The host provided plenty of communication before and during our trip by giving us suggestions of things to do. On the day of our arrival, he called to welcome us and made sure we had everything we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Moose Manor during a future trip to Bar Harbor. Hint: Be sure to read the interesting history of the home hanging in the dining room.

We are Paul and Joy Strathman and we had lived in the Midwest for the past 25 years. It all began when we took a trip to Maine, simply because we'd never been there before.

Since then, we've been back to various parts of Coastal Maine every year and while we enjoy all the towns we've visited, we have fallen hopelessly in love with Bar Harbor. As so often happens when one visits a very special place, one's mind wanders into the possibilities of someday living there.

Moose Manor Bar Harbor is truly a dream come true. This 1904 New England-style residence is perfectly located right in town; walking distance to everything. We have filled Moose Manor Bar Harbor with things we love and have included all the comforts that we enjoy when we are there. We hope that you will enjoy our very special home and likewise fall in love with Bar Harbor.

What makes this property unique

While on one of our early visits to Bar Harbor, we went for a walk. As we passed by this house, my wife said, 'Paul, please buy me that porch!' We both chuckled and continued our walk. Little did we know that we would not only someday buy the porch, but the wonderful home which sits behind it as well!

This inviting home has been lovingly cared for by each owner since the house was built in 1904. We are only the 4th family to own this property. The warmth and charm of Moose Manor Bar Harbor is captivating and it's fabulous location cannot be beat!
