The Rhönmantisch holiday home—country life and tranquility—invites you to slow down. You can enjoy views of the Simmelsberg, Rodenbacher Köpfchen, or the Nalle River either from the window, the balcony, or the terrace in the garden.
In addition to peace and tranquility, you’re just a short drive from neighbouring towns such as Gersfeld, Bischofsheim, or Fulda.
The adjoining cottage garden features roses, lavender, hydrangeas, elderberry bushes, and herbs.
Inside the house, guests will also find countless pictures of the host’s grandfather, Arno; which delights the host, who uses them to keep his beloved grandfather Arno ever-present.
If you’re lucky, you’ll have plenty of neighbors: sheep and goats belonging to local shepherd Klaus Keidel.
There’s a swimming pool in Gersfeld, and Lake Guckaisee is a 5-minute drive away. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for day trips. These include the Wasserkuppe, the Kreuzberg, the city of Fulda with all its sights, riding stables in the immediate vicinity, and paragliding or hang gliding on the Wasserkuppe, the highest mountain in the Rhön and in Hesse. A playground is just a 2-minute walk from the holiday home.
You can enjoy Rhön specialities or international cuisine at countless restaurants in the immediate vicinity. At the Rhön farm shop, a 5-minute drive away, you can also buy typical Rhön products.

Our holiday home, with approximately 140 square metres of living space spread over three floors, can accommodate up to 7 people. Exposed beams, stone slabs, and cobblestones are everywhere. The cosy living room, featuring an integrated dining area, TV, and small library, invites you to relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, a refrigerator with a built-in freezer, a stove with an oven, a coffee maker, a toaster, and a kettle.
In the basement, which has a separate entrance, there is a single bedroom with an adjoining bathroom and toilet. On the ground floor are the entryway, living room, and kitchen, as well as a double bedroom with a box-spring bed and an adjoining bathroom.
One floor up is a double bedroom with a box-spring bed and a balcony; across the hallway is another double bedroom with a box-spring bed. Both rooms share a bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and toilet.
A grill, patio furniture, Wi-Fi, and a parking space are also available.



On-site costs: A 100% prepayment will be charged upon booking.Check-in is available from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in advance to arrange this. Keys are provided via a key box. You will receive the code for this well in advance of your arrival. A cot can be provided free of charge upon request. Pets are not allowed/upon request. The visitor’s tax of €2.10 per person per night for guests aged 14 and older will be charged additionally on site.



Check-in is from 5:00 PM to 9:00, and check-out is from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
