The apartment is in a great location in the Marais, close to everything, but very quiet. Lily thought of everything that would make our stay comfortable, from the linens to the well-stocked, compact kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would return again!

Nice flat in Le Marais

Very clean apartment with good space and well stocked with kitchen pans and coffee. Very easy check in. We reserved for 3 people, but only 2 beds were made initially. The host sent housekeeping to make the third bed and waived the 50 fee it would normally cost. Be sure to request ahead of times how many beds you want made.

Location, location, location

Enjoyed our stay, we are considered elderly in our late 60s which the two flights of stairs to the apartment kept us in shape. Upstairs beds were a little hard, but all in all it was a wonderful stay. Location and safety of the apartment was the best. There was construction during the week from the apartment next door which gave us excuse to get out early and explore the areas. Metro was close by. Nice department store close by to shop. Really good bistros and coffee shops to people watch down the street. Know that if you have a lot of laundry it’s best to hit up one of the laundromats, the washer is good but you must hang your clothes to dry. All in all its was a memorable stay. Lily was great at communicating with me. Paris is a great city that can’t be experienced in a week. We will return.

Overall an excellent stay.PROS1). Amazing location just north of the Hotel de Ville in Arrondissement 3. 15 minute walk to Notre Dame, 20 minutes to Lourve. Lively neigborhood with cafes, boutique stores, and lots of places to eat of different cousines. You really get a feel for Paris2). VERY responsive host. She answered all our questions extremely timely and the welcome packet was very useful. 3). Well stocked kitchen and linensCONSMost of these are relatively small things and may not be an issue for many people but I feel that is worth pointing out.1). Flat is on the 2nd floor and the stair case is one of those narrow circular French staircases. So, understand if you are traveling with older people where stair climbing is a problem.2). Since we are on the topic of stairs, the stairs to the loft are somewhat steep so some caution is advised when using. 3). The shower and laundroom is accessible by 3 large steps down a corridor from the kitchen. One needs to be very careful when using because of the tile and there is no handrail. 4). The washer / dryer is an all-in-one machine but effectively the dryer is not usable. The host recommended a public laundry around the corner for drying but the in flat hanging rack worked out fine. Just plan ahead that washing will need to air dry.In summary we would definitely consider staying here again but the idiosyncrasies of the flat should be understood.

A Student's First Apartment

Remember your first apartment when you left home? Furnished by stuff your parents and grandparents wanted to get rid of, complimented by odds and ends picked up at garage sales or the local used furniture store? This is the way we view this very small Paris apartment. We seriously can't understand the many positive reviews. To be fair: 1. it is well located in the northern part of le Marais, close to restaurants etc 2. good appliances 3. lots of clothing storage 4. Clean, lots of windows 5. Lily helped us with a restaurant reservation. We have travelled the world for 20 + years and have stayed in many different kinds of properties from large villas to small apartments and B and B's and for us this was definitely the most uncomfortable out of all of them. Our negative review is based upon a number of factors: 1. under A/C it has automatic cooling. Since we have experienced heat waves from previous trips to France, we purposely looked to try and find air conditioning, a rare thing in Paris apartments. Automatic cooling, we assumed was A/C as it came up through the search filter. It was a small 6 inch table fan. 2. No place comfortable to sit anywhere. Super small fake fur covered chairs (not ideal in heat) and an itchy felt covered sofa were your options. So we thought, after a long day of touring, we will just lie reading in bed propped up by pillows. No backboard and a bed that couldn't be pushed against the wall, so pillows slipped down through the big crack between the wall and bed. 3. If you are a couple, hopefully one of you doesn't have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom as you have to climb over the person as the bed is up against the wall. 4 Like the concept of a river stone floor in the shower (rain shower another positive) but didn't like stones that were coming our of the flooring, sticking to the bottom of my feet 6. Holes in the bathroom walls where hooks I am sure used to be. No place to hang wet towels. We set up the wire laundry rack (put a mat under it to protect the plywood flooring) in the living room for our towels to dry. 7. It is noisy and full of light from nearby windows. I am sure it is quiet in the winter but with all the windows open, we were woken up repeatedly. One night by drunks, another by kids etc My review would not be so harsh, but I found the write up and staged photo highly exaggerated; apartment ideal for young people or unseasoned travellers

So much to do and see in Paris, and then so nice to come back to such a calm and lovely apartment. Everything we needed for our stay was there, with a lovely bakery and grocery stores nearby. The neighbor was great to walk through, and close to several metro stops. Il y a tellement chose à faire à Paris et beaucoup de gens partout, donc c'etait si bon d'arriver chaque soir à cet apartement beau et calm. Tout que nous en avoir besoin était là, et il y a une patisserie fantastique et quelques epiceries très près. La voisinage est parfait pur les petites ballades, et près de plusiers stations de metro.

Charming apartment for 2

The apartment is small, but bigger and nicer than a hotel room and very comfortable for 2. We used the kitchen for breakfasts and some light dinners after eating a big meal in a nice restaurant at lunch. It is in the Marais, and is well connected with 4 nearby metro stops. It is also near several of the major shopping areas and large department stores. Our focus for sightseeing this trip was smaller museums, restarurants and patisseries/chocolate shops. Our secondary focus was wandering the small streets in the Marias and latin quarter, looking at the interesting shops we found and stopping at cafes. It was easy and quick to get where we wanted to go from the apartment. We would definitely go back again.

Great apartment in good location

Our stay at the apartment was enjoyable. The place is compact and functional, with all amenities in good working condition, and had been decorated in a stylish and eclectic fashion by Leelee, the apartment owner. The location in the 3rd arrondissement is great, with metro stations only 3 mins away and a 20-25 min walk to major landmarks such as Notre Dame, the Louvre, Center Pompidou, etc. The local area also had a ton of shops, restaurants and boulangeries. The neighborhood is very quiet, with little to no noise (expect for some construction in the building itself). Leelee was extremely helpful and was very easily available through WhatsApp to answer any questions we had. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and painless, as was getting to and from the apartment in a taxi. The security deposit can be paid through PayPal instead of local currency, and was returned very promptly as well. The apartment is on the 2nd floor (3rd floor by US measures) and there is no elevator, so it may be a challenge for those with mobility issues. That being said, I traveled with my parents, who are both above 70, and they managed fine. Overall, a great experience - we will definitely visit again!

Staying at Lily's place was a wonderful experience for me. She was very easy to communicate with and she speaks fluent English and she was very quick to reply to my messages. Lily was very hospitable and really went out of her way to make sure that not only was I enjoying her flat but that I was enjoying Paris. She knows the city very well and she recommended several things for me to do and restaurants for me to eat at. The apartment is fairly large for Paris center ,very clean and quiet. I visited 6 cities in Paris and had my best sleep in that place.The location could not have been better. It was located in the most happening area in Paris, if you're into restaurants, art and shopping. It is also only a short distance walk to all the main sights to see. Her neighbour hood has a lot of character and great restaurants only steps away from her apartment.The only bad thing was I couldn't stay longer. I would highly recommend Lily's place to anyone travelling to Paris.

Great apartment, quite small but everything we needed was there.

The apartment is in a good location with plenty of cafes, bars and galleries. LeeLee was very helpful with great suggestions for bars and restaurants. We loved our stay at this 2nd floor apartment.

Kan helt klart anbefales!

En lille men super hyggelig lejlighed. Beliggende i et dejligt kvarter, med masse gode og hyggelige cafeer. Der er mange seværdigheder der ligger i gåafstand fra lejligheden. Den nærmeste metro ligger ca.200 m. fra lejligheden. Lily ejeren af lejligheden har været været meget behjælpelig når vi har haft nogle spørgsmål. Hun hjalp os blandt andet med at skaffe transport til og fra lufthavnen. Vi er en familie på 2 voksne og to store børn og kunne helt klart godt finde på at komme igen.

What a find!!!Heaven of peace.

We loved our 4 day stay at this apartment. We have been to Paris many times and this apartment was the best we have seen. It has all the amenities, very tastefully decorated.When we arrived, Lily was waiting to give us a tour and provide all the information we might need, including several tips for activities we had not known about. We were pleased with the building's security and apartment's quiet location in the building. We wanted to visit museums this trip and the location was perfect, whether it was walking 25 minutes to the Louvre or hopping on the metro less than a block away. It was easy getting groceries across the street, indulging in excellent chocolate at a nearby shop, and window-shopping at higher-end stores nearby. Any question we had was answered promptly. We highly recommend renting Lily's apartment.

Beautiful, central, and quiet.The owner is pleasant and professional to deal with.

Great place to stay. The location towards the north of the Marais is really convenient- We were delighted to find that we could walk to so many museums and attractions, and are very pleased that we chose this apartment for our first trip to Paris. There are restaurants in the street and bakers and supermarkets less than a three minute walk away. The flat is exactly as in the pictures and is well equipped. I asked Lily to fix a light and she came around the following day with a new lamp and more bulbs and sorted them all there and then. The flat was very clean and also very quiet! The area is residential with blocks of flats behind the shops on the street.The building is well-maintained and felt safe. Lily really put her heart into this place. She decorated it as a classic Parisian styled apartment, creating this atmosphere that appeals to all the senses from the lighting, the smells, the sounds of classical music, and a comfortable bed. We felt right at home, not like other apartments which are cold ,basic and blank. I highly recommend this cute, beautiful apartment that Lily created.

Cozy, awesome flat!

My husband and I had the most wonderful vacation in Paris. The location of the apartment is perfect, so close to the Metro! Lily was super easy to work with, we had a problem getting in the apartment and she text me back immediately and was super accommodating to us. The apartment has all the amenities you need, and makes you feel like a real Parisian when staying here! We would definitely stay here again!

LOCATION! LOCATION!Don't look for further! Perfect quiet escape

We had a fantastic time the Apartment made us feel like we were Parisians. Great restaurants, Shopping, just a few steps away. Great location, very comfortable, clean and artistically decorated. It is clear that the owner has put a lot of care into designing and maintaining this space. Lily was very responsive and helpful in her communication. Her recommendations for restaurants and bars were also perfect! There were some snacks waiting for us when we arrived which was also very thoughtful. Wonderful place and I look forward to staying here again soon!

Just Book! Don't need to search more!

If you complain about this place, it's about YOU, not about this flat. Lily is a very attentive and efficient host who takes time to make sure you are made welcome and that all is in order for your stay. The location is fabulous putting Paris at your fingertips! The flat is simply fantastic, center but quiet...the pictures don't do it justice. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique stay in Paris.

Cute little flat with a lot of personality

Had a great time in this flat. It was perfect for our 3 night stay in Paris. Location was perfect for walking everywhere and the flat had such a personality. It wasn't very hot when we were there so not having AC wasn't a problem. Internet worked great. Would recommend it.

Adorable and very comfortable

This property was in a great location and within walking distance of so many wonderful sites. The space itself was adorable and just as pictured. Although cozy, four of us were comfortable sleeping there. Lily was very helpful with the a book of suggestions on the table and available via text for answering questions. Everything was in good working order. I would stay there again, in a heartbeat.

comfortable stay

Having read all the reviews and stayed previously in the Résidence & Spa Le Prince , we had high expectations of our stay and Lily's place definitely exceeded them . (Though I must say reviewer Louisa - must have stayed with her eyes closed!). Loved Lily’s place and all the details in the flat – it has a lot of character. The description of her place is accurate. The kitchen is complete with all the necessary utensils and Lily had kindly put in a fresh bottle of milk, which was great for the following day’s breakfast. There’s a small supermarket down the street which is well-stocked. The neighbourhood is quiet – the only noisy morning was the day the kid next door played violin , but that’s wonderful. We are a couple with 2 children, teenagers , we Will certainly consider Lily’s place again in our next visit to Paris.

Unique and original place

Lily's house is a dream come true...Even better than we expected!!! When we got there she wasn't in Paris, but had a very kind assistant waiting for me in the apartment, who explained how things worked, gave me very good advices, etc. The house was perfectly clean and organised. The owner has prepared an amazing hand-made guide of LeMarais (Best places yo find bread, breakfast&brunch, boutiques, emergency telephones and many useful infos). She also left Nesspresso coffee and an amazing variety de los of teas for us. Also very well ironed blankets and clean towels ...Above all I must talk about the amazing taste in decoration, DIY vintage cozy interior and painting that Lily has...She is a tasteful artist!! The house is a warm, magical and unique place. 100 out of 10! Million thanks Lily, I will come back for sure!!!!
