The nearby Edersee invites swimming, boating, fishing, and boat trips (though swimming is only advisable in high summer, depending on water levels). Numerous hiking and biking trails wind through the beautiful nature. Visit Waldeck Castle, the Edersee Wildlife Park, the treetop path, or the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park. The towns of Korbach and Frankenberg also make for attractive day trip destinations
