This cozy cottage is pet friendly, so you don't have to deal with the guilt of leaving your dog behind. This little house in the woods features a fireplace, internet, and a gas grill. The main level has a a master bedroom with a king bed and a second bedroom with 2 twin beds. The loft has an additional twin bed with a trundle underneath. An open spiral stair case gives you access to the loft and the lower level so it may not be suitable for small children. This home is perfect for sitting back and allowing life to slow down for a few days. This home also comes with Amenity Passes allowing you access to the Owners' Club where you can enjoy the indoor/outdoor pools, Game Room, Fitness Center, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, free WIFI and more. Galena Getaway

This is the second time we have stayed here. The home had everything we needed from a well provisioned kitchen to comfortable couches in the living room to three bedrooms, and we could even bring our dog! Jolene responds quickly if you have any questions or needs which is so helpful. It’s perfect for 3 retired women on a weekend getaway!

Great Spot in Galena Territory

We stayed at this property for a two night stay with our 8 and 2 year olds and dog. Clean, had everything we needed and great communication with management.

Nice place to stay

We stayed here for a quick 2 night get away. The house was very clean and just as described. Jolene was very responsive to any questions. Would not hesitate to book again.

Accurate listing, excellent communication

The property is in a nice location, was clean and comfortable. Communication with Jolene was excellent and prompt. The primary bedroom bathroom seems original to when the house was built maybe in the 70s - could use an update. Also the mattress in that room is like falling into a soup bowl I assume because it's a pretty old inner spring and could also use an update. The spiral staircase is very narrow though luckily I did not really need to go up or down it really.

Pictures do not do this place justice

This is an amazing property and my kids loved it. My only comment would be that the owners need to remove the bird detractor away from the master bedroom window as the wind caused it to "knock" on the wall 2 nights in a row which required ear plugs. Other than that, we enjoyed the space immensely and would rent this property again!

Loved it!

Three retired teachers with a small dog stayed here for a long weekend. It had everything we needed; it was quiet and in a wooded environment. Everything worked fine, and we would come back!

“The Tree House”

This was a perfect getaway for my husband and I. We didn't get a chance to use the endless FREE amenities at the club house. However, the location and VRBO itself are so cozy you want even need to leave. It’s a perfect little cabin for all seasons. With a fireplace inside and out and huge deck for coffee clutching, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a short driving distance to town with endless views along the way. We felt this was better than the pictures and hope to go back and visit again. Note: The owner Jolene had excellent communication with us throughout the entry process and made it very easy to understand.

Great Sisters Weekend Stay!

This property was great! It had plenty of space, and was clean and Jolene in the management office was great to work with. It is close enough to town, to enjoy town during the day, and still gives you a quiet space and area to enjoy to just hangout. The teens also enjoyed the pools and amenities.

Stay with family.

The house is in a great location and offers a nice layout. Kitchen is fully equipped and functional.Linens are clean.However, the towels are so old and faded that it’s unpleasant to use them.Bathrooms in general are in dire need of remodel.Additionally, the outside of the house is not well maintained and doesn’t really have a nice outdoor area.The deck needs some shade,maybe an umbrella at least.

Great location and fine accommodation, but needs a deep cleaning

Use of the Eagle Ridge owners club indoor and outdoor pool was great for our kids! Easy drive to cute downtown Galena too. This property is very dated but that was reflected accurately in the listing. Our only complaint was it had a lot of dust bunnies, dirty floor boards, and dead bugs in corners. Needs a thorough cleaning.

Family Getaway

The location is quiet and the views out back are fantastic. Main living area is comfortable and we enjoyed a few movie nights with a fire in the fireplace. I wish the weather had been a little warmer so that we could sit on the deck. Our dogs liked watching the birds and squirrels out there. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and enjoy privacy when we wanted. It was nice for our teens to have their own spaces. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are a touch dated but functional. The house could have been a little bit cleaner. It was a little dusty and the floors felt like they were due for a thorough mop. Overall, this house worked really well for us. It is a good value and pet friendly.

Friends weekend

Area was great. Cleanliness could have been a little better. Surface clean was good but dropped something and cobwebs behind the bed and dressers were bad. Also exhaust fans in the bathrooms are loud and could use a good cleaning. . No firewood so we didn’t have a fire. Fan on the furnace was super loud mainly at night. For the amount of time we spent there it was ok for us but wouldn’t want to sleep on the mattresses for more that a couple days.

Galena Territory stay

The house has a small footprint, the bathrooms are older and not great. Because the house has big Oaks right next to it acorns and branches fell throughout the night on the roof which made sleeping a bit difficult. The area is pretty and the property is very wooded and not great to using the yard for fire pit etc.Over all we enjoyed our stay and the price was right for a Galena weekend.
