About this property
The Perfect Setting for a Magical Stay
Private yet just minutes from Mattituck’s Love Lane, beaches, wineries, farms, restaurants, shops and the North Fork’s many attractions, this unique getaway has it all.
Three bedrooms, two with queen size beds and one with a queen size sleeper sofa, two full bathrooms—one with a bathtub and a separate shower, a fully equipped kitchen with large dining table, a separate pantry area with brand new washer and dryer, an oversized home office with WIFI, printer and two individual work stations, a wood burning stove and two large flat panel TVs. There is two-zone central air conditioning throughout. A 600 sq. ft. deck with a Weber gas grill, lounge chairs and patio furniture affords plenty of outdoor seating for lounging, dining and entertaining.
The master bedroom opens to a balcony with a bistro table and chairs. Both the master bedroom and the home office have soaring 16’ foot ceilings that make being in the space feel almost magical. Picture yourself sitting high on the balcony or on the first floor deck overlooking Long Creek reading a book or watching a never-ending show of ducks, geese, kingfishers, egrets, herons, swans and ospreys. Nature abounds!
Or you can float along on the creek in our two-person kayak, or for a change of scenery, ride one of the bicycles into town, to the beach or along country roads. When you return, a refreshing outdoor shower with dressing area will welcome you back.
Conveniently located five minutes from the LIRR and Hampton Jitney stops.
Minimum stay: Three weeks

Year-round owner occupant, fine art photographer.
As a former Manhattan resident I sought a serene and private second home, close to nature yet convenient to town, found this tear down hunters lodge, totally gut renovated it and am now enjoying the breathtaking views and its convenience to North Fork's many attractions.

Why they chose this property
While it's only two hours from the hustle and bustle of New York City, it feels like a million miles away. As one of the non-VRBO guests wrote: "Better than advertised. Beautiful location, full of wildlife, we would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish hideaway."
