Host was great. House is super cute, clean & cozy. Fenced yard was great for our border collie and the location was perfect! Fantastic neighborhood, walkable to downtown & Old Mill, centrally located for all of our favorite spots!
Such a perfect location and comfortable cottage for me and my husband. East walking distance (less than a mile) to a variety of great restaurants and the recreation on the Deschutes River.
Bend River Cottage is a charming cozy home in a great location. We parked the car and walked everywhere. The river walk is just a few steps away and there is so much delicious food available near the neighborhood. The yard is completely fenced in so our large and friendly pup was in heaven as the passers by stopped to scratch his ears. We would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for your review! Yes, pups do love the spot don’t they! :)
Great location - we parked and walked everywhere for the weekend! The house is small but really well equipped. The fenced in yard is lovely and would be great in the summer. The proximity to walking trails and parks was perfect!
This is the perfect starting point for everything that is fun in Bend!! Only downsides are bedrooms are very small and A/Cs are window units that aren’t very effective. We ended up having to repair one that had come apart.
Location was perfect. We were able to rent e bikes or walk everywhere we wanted to go. We attended a concert at Hayden Homes and this was perfect location
This was the perfect place for our family of three. It is in a cute neighborhood very close to the river, parks, stores, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, etc. It was also spotlessly clean and the kitchen had all we needed - we only ate out once. Overall, a first-rate rental.
The location of this property was amazing , so close to all that Bend has to offer. Everything was walkable from the property and our 2 dogs loved the river which was very close. The only thing missing was some oven mitts and dishcloths otherwise the kitchen was very well stocked. Would definitely stay here again.
Overall, our stay at this wonderful location in Bend, exceeded all expectations. The mesmerizing surroundings and top-notch accommodations made it an unforgettable experience. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an action-packed adventure, this house has something for everyone. I can't wait to return to this hidden oasis and create more cherished memories in the breathtaking beauty of Bend.
Overall the place was fine. The location was good. The house was somewhat run down.It was all fine, though I would not highly recommend it. The volume control on TV was stuck. It would have been nice had there been actual soap in the shower, the bedrooms are tiny. This is place you don’t have to worry about your kids or animals. With all that said it suited our purposes.

I am so sorry that our cottage did not meet your expectations. Although we have a dozen years of 5 star reviews, we actually stayed at the cottage just after your stay ourselves to do some work on the property after the summer busy season.
Just to note, this is a house that is over 100 years old. Very clean and put together with Old Town Bend character.
I am happy you enjoyed the location. And thank you for the feedback on the remote as we have now replaced it.
This two bedroom home was perfect for our family of four which included two young adult daughters. We booked this place so we could ski at Mt. Bachelor for four days. It had easy access to the road to Bachelor, was fairly close to downtown and just a few blocks from great food shopping and coffee shops. It was also in a nice and quiet neighborhood. I would definitely recommend and would book here again.
Great spot for couples with dogs. Although not really good for small dogs ( gaps under gates, etc.) , the yard has plenty of room for medium and larger dogs to romp free. The second bedroom is nice for keeping all the gear out of the way, and full laundry is a huge plus! Thank You!!

Great location, well stocked and comfy beds
Great stay. Kristy was great to work with. Small rooms but comfy beds. The kitchen is well stocked with regards to food staples, small wares and new appliances.
We really enjoyed being walking distance to so much (downtown, the river, old mill, and restaurants).
They provide a binder with suggestions of where to eat, etc and that was quite helpful. Too cute to arrive to s'mores. We used the bikes and helmets. Great outdoor storage space for gear.
We hope to be back again in the winter for a ski trip.
This is a darling little cottage to stay in in a historic part of Bend. We stayed for 6 nights. It is perfect for 3-4 people. As it is small (640 sq. feet) I would not use it for more than 4 people as it would feel a little cramped. The cottage had all we needed. Lots of pots and pans, dishes, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee maker with coffee and grill (which we did not use). Our dog was welcomed which allowed us to bring our 9 year old lab who is very attached to us. I do not ski but my family does...so they took the car and I was able to walk everywhere with the dog. Everything I needed was a 10-15 minute walk. The old Mill district, downtown and the riverfront. There are great shops, restaurants, cafes etc. I walked along the river every day.The only item missing was bath soap. The bar provided was tiny and more of a hand soap bar. That was quickly rectified as the cleaning person showed up by accident and when I mentioned it, she came back with bath gel and soap just a little while later. The hosts could not have been more responsive and helpful. Its a good place to any time of year.
This house is the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. It was comfortable, light and easy to use for our 3 night stay

About the host
Hosted by Ian and Kristy Haworth
Hi! We are Ian and Kristy Haworth and we welcome you to our beautiful Bend cottage! Moving here from sunny Southern California as young adults 30+ years ago, where we both grew up, we are not strangers to resort living lifestyles. Raising our now young adults kids, we treasure and love Bend! We love to work hard and play hard! What a perfect spot to paddle board on the river, ski at Mt. Bachelor in the winter and everything in between. We are not always in Bend as much as we would like to be but have plenty of hands to help if something arises. Please reach out to us as we are always available. We look forward to hosting you in beautiful Bend, Oregon!
Why they chose this property
This 1920's home was built at the time of the lumber mill on the river just south of the house. Many homes around us are actually old train cars put together by the mill workers to live in. Ian's parents live on the river right down the street and theirs is this type. Incredible history lie within these streets. Truly where the center of town began! We have had the privilege of owning this home since 1996 and is where we lived when we first got married. Sweet memories live in this home! And now, it is waiting for you to enjoy and build your memories!
What makes this property unique
There is no place like this area to live and to vacation! Most people don't use their vehicles to get around. Even in the winter it is fun to bundle up and walk to breakfast around the corner or to take the path to the Old Mill for a movie or concert. Everyone is friendly in the neighborhood. A smile and wave everywhere you go!
