Beach Vacation

Property worked awesomely for 4 teens and 1 adult. Good size bedrooms, easy walk to beach, it let the teens come and go to the beach as they pleased.

Great location house was good. Kitchen utensils were poor and a lot of light bulbs out or fixtures not working. But all in all great stay. And the downstairs TV is mounted in a way you can’t get to hdmi or other plugs on the back. But we had a great time there.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to stay at this rental. Something happened to their AC unit. They were very gracious and gave us 3 other units to choose from. The other units were not as close to the beach and didn’t have the same amenities as Kokomo Jo’s. They were pretty bare bones. But we’re thankful that they were still nice rental properties regardless of our nitpicking.

Problems resolved quickly, over decorating

AC must have froze up first night but issue resolved in an hour with 4 window units installed. Too much clutter in house, excessive books, shells, and assorted decorations.A lot of burnt out light bulbs in the exterior.

Last minute vacation...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kokomo Jo's was a beutiful cabin. There was only a short walk to the beach, which unfortunity was full of seaweed. Mother Nature strikes again. The view was nice, but if any more cabins are put up that may get lost. The owner wasn't aware of the 12 noon check in time, which meant we didn't get into the cabin until almost 1. This was a little bit of a headache for us since we had a 18 month old with us. However it did give us the opportunity to meet the owner who was delightful. I think Cobb's could have handled the whole situation better by letting us know she was there before driving up to the property. But the check-in and out process was quick and mostly friendly. I would recommend Kokomo Jo's to anyone....we had lots of fun.

It's where we spent our evenings. We will be going back!

The only negative was no wifi.That was a huge problem, since I intended to take care of some work while I was there.Also, be sure and get the linen package,it is extra$$, but so worth it. unless you want to pack all of your towels, sheets, pillow cases etc, along with all food,paper goods, laundry detergent, etc. All in all good weekend. Minus the wifi. Would go again!

The location had green space for the kids to run, offered quiet and had low traffic, a grill and wonderful cool area to relax on the ground floor and easy access to the beach. The house had plenty of space inside for people to be together or spread out for their own activities. The house was stocked with lots of utensils, plates, etc. My only complaint was that we had to go to the store to purchase trash bags and extra toilet paper. Also, I really was looking forward to swinging in the rocker outside that I saw in pictures, but it was not present. A hammock or glider would have been delightful.

The home was clean, and well stocked, and is decorated so that the home has a beachy yet homey vibe. Very thankful for the 2nd king-size bed. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a better mattress in the master bedroom and an elevator for my parents who had a little trouble with the stairs. Wonderful home for younger families.

Everything was very clean and short walk to the beach. Is located on a more private road with no beach access for cars so makes it easy to have kids and younger teens walk safely. Very cute beach theme home and room enough for everyone.

Had to cut the trip seriously short because of rising water.

Basically we were pleased with the house. Really disappointed that the storm sent us North far too soon. We only stayed 1 night as our phones were warning us they were closing the ferries Saturday evening and there was already ‘water and debris’ over the only other exit from Bolivar Pen. We left the house cleaner than we found it and expect our deposit to be returned and a couple of the ladies at the office said we could comeback at another time to use the balance of our paid for time.

MAY 1 KOKOMO JO COVID STAY

Loved the home and everything about it. The downstairs area was our favorite. Bonus was the downstairs restroom area -saved us on the stairs! The BBQ pit was not usable, but next time we'll just bring our own. It was a wonderful time away with old classmates and we plan to rent again as the official Reunion was rescheduled in October.

Good Times in the Dark

Thankful the property managers let us check in with no power and we didn’t have to spend more money on a hotel. Went one night with out power due to tropical storm but we made the best of it. Linen package is ok. I think if we go back I’ll just bring my own! Brought a golf cart but we had no beach access from this property. Pulled over trying to get beach access. Next time we’ll make sure we have beach access for the golf cart. Great weekend even with a few hiccups.
