Welcome to this wonderful 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom duplex home only a 3 min walk from Magic Sands Beach. Just remodeled and professionally decorated, this charming vacation getaway has all of the comforts you desire in your home away from home, including air conditioning!

Close to Kona's Best Beach, but without the traffic noise from Ali'i Drive, the Magic Sand's Beach House is in a private and quiet location to maximize your Hawaii holiday enjoyment.

There is plenty of room for your entire group. This home has a large family room in addition to its living room. Enjoy the 65 inch smart TV as the home has a total of 3 TVs. This house is equipped with High Speed WIFI for your convenience. Each bedroom has it's own air conditioning unit. The Magic Sands Beach House also has a large back yard lanai area, with a BBQ and outside dining area.

***Internet speed is at 300 MBPS. We had 5 people on Zoom/Google Meet simultaneously with no issues. Home has a full mesh router as well for optimal performance. Exterior facing security camera at the carport for your safety.
***Guests are given a starter kit for dishwashing soap, laundry detergent and toilet paper. Guests will need to purchase if additional is needed

Things To Do:
• Magic Sands Beach/ La'aola Beach: a popular place to boogie board, just 300 steps from the house! Common place to see sea turtles and a great place to watch sunsets.
• Keauhou Shopping Center with KTA supermarket, Pizza Parlor, Movie Theater, Ice cream store and many restaurants. Just 1.5 miles away.
• Kahalu’u Bay Beach Park: great place for snorkeling and Stand Up Paddleboarding! Just 1 mile south
• Downtown Kona: Enjoy fabulous restaurants, shopping and farmers market. Just 3 miles north
• Coffee farms - if you love coffee, there are numerous coffee farms within 15 min from the house
• Manta Ray night viewing/snorkeling - drive 3 miles south to the Kona Outrigger for free Manta Ray viewing at night or signup for a night dive/snorkel (highly recommended by the owners!)
• Waikoloa Village shopping 45 min. north
• Two hours from Volcano National Park, Green Sands Beach.
• One and a half hours from Hilo and Waipio Valley.
• One hour from Waimea.

The property is perfect for families. Plenty of room, and all the amenities. Hal is a super host!!! Very easy to contact, fast to respond, and he's very eager to make your stay a great experience!

Good location

Our family enjoyed their stay . The beds are comfortable. We walked to the beach but couldn’t swim because of high surf and no sand. Close to Kona with lots of shops and restaurants.

Family vacation

We had the best time. This home worked perfectly for our family. It has plenty of room, lots of beach chairs and equipment, very responsive host. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect island getaway

Nice, clean, well-appointed property with an unbeatable location. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. There is plenty of beach gear to use, and the outdoor shower has hot water! I can't say enough nice things about this property. I would definitely stay there again.

Great stay in great location

Hi, this was a great air bnb for our family. Very clean, nice kitchen to cook in, excellent AC, easy parking, and very close walk to Magic Sands beach where you can watch beautiful big waves. While Magic Sands isn't the best beach for kids, it was an easy drive into town and to many great kid friendly beaches. We appreciated the booster seat and Pack N Play for our toddler. The owner was easy to communicate with and replaced something quickly when it broke. We are looking forward to staying here again!

Well equipped spacious home in nice neighborhood. Everything worked great, plenty of kitchen ware for cooking. Plenty of beach gear available for use. Highly recommend this vacation rental!

We had a great stay. Very nice house. Easy walk to the beach, though the beach can get busy. Lots of beach toys and accessories at the house, but it may be time to sort through and replace some items.

Perfect house and great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had our own personal code to enter the house, which is always a plus for security. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was within walking distance to the beach and a great location for a short drive to shopping and restaurants. We loved how detailed the labels were in the house. The host was super accommodating and communicated quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

Magic Days at Magic Sands

We had a great stay at this property! The cleanliness of the house was appreciated, the beds comfy and best of all it was a good location for all that we wanted to do while on the island. This property manager is also responsive and cooperative. When our trip was extended courtesy of the airlines, he worked with us to be able to stay the extra day.

Quiet location. Good house for family with small kids. Well equipped kitchen. Well supplied with beach chairs, snorkels, boogie boards and toys:) Magic sands beach isn’t for small small kids in January but Kahalu’u Beach Park is only 1 mile away.

Great stay

Property was in good shape,plenty of room for our party of seven to spread out. Magic sands was lacking sand during our week, but not much you can do about mother nature. It was still a nice place to watch the sunset from. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect setting

We came to cheer on our son at Ironman. It was a very convenient spot for the race and to stay out of the melee of the event. The home was private, quiet, and very clean, had all cooking equipment for a large or small dinner. Get up with the birds. Easy, "secret" walk to the beautiful beach around the corner; faster to walk than to drive. Highly recommended.

Great Location

The location was fantastic and the house was very clean. It had everything you would need for a long stay. The owner was so nice and communicated with me fast. The knob on the dryer broke and he let me know he had ordered the part and fixed it before the end of our visit. It was a 3 minute walk to Magic Sands beach. Greatness!

Magic sands stay

Host was wonderful and responded to our needs immediately, when we had a minor issue with stove. Very helpful and was only a quick flip of a switch to correct problem. He even called back to check our issue was resolved and if we might need anything else. Great location, close to water and peaceful neighborhood. Would stay here again.

Wonderful!

Beautiful location one block from the beach. This large home had everything. Fully equipped kitchen/laundry. Nice furnishings with big screen tv. Bonus game room. Plenty of space to spread out. In the backyard there is a large natural area that is full of singing birds! Plenty of beach toys and snorkel gear. Definitely would stay here again!

Comfy and convenient

Our stay was perfect for our needs. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and very easy to get to the airport, beaches, and everywhere else we needed to go. Three bedrooms and 1 bath was perfect for our family of 5. There was a twin bed left empty so more vacationers would fit. We used the kitchen to cut costs by eating in at night. It was stocked with a lot of the basics (spices, etc) which was nice. Overall, a great part of our week's vacation.

Perfect Location for a Family Trip

Great house, even better than the photos! Clean and well appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Easy 3 block walk to a beautiful beach, covered parking, and communication with Hal was excellent. We travelled with a <1 yr old, and he was able to use the High chair and pack'n'play, much appreciated! The only small issue was it was a bit confusing as to where the door code was the first day, but the upstairs neighbors showed us.

Very Nice

This place was great for 6 of us. 3 different couples.. everything aside from food was provided and plenty of extra towels and water toys. We didn't read in the listing that this was a duplex and was worried after receiving our check in instructions. However, you could barely tell there's someone/people up there and we didn't receive any complaints on our end! Thank you!

Aloha! We fell in love with the Big Island the first time we visited in 2010. We love being in the Big Island and spending the day at one of the numerous beautiful beaches, swimming with turtles, snorkeling in tidepools, hiking to see lava flows to name a few. We decided to make a home here so we can enjoy life in paradise with our children and friends and share it with others.

Why they chose this property

We love that this home is a 3 min walk from Magic Sands Beach and in a great location just 1.5 miles south of downtown Kona. Just 1 mile north of Kahaluu Beach park which is popular for snorkeling! We love that the house does not have any steps so that we can share this home with people of all ages!
