Newly restored to it's 1920 grandeur, this free standing carriage house can sleep 4 in the lower apartment . (The upstairs sleeps 4 as well.) Easy walk to Balboa Park and San Diego's finest restaurants. Located between downtown and Hillcrest. As photos show, no expense spared!

The Carriage House, comprised of two separate rentable units, combines the best of both worlds—location and amenities. Its tranquil courtyard creates a quiet oasis in the center of Park West, San Diego's hippest neighborhood, adjacent to Balboa Park. The Carriage House lower unit offers two bedroom and two bath retreats. In deference to our neighbors, the space is never rented for parties. 2 night minimum on weekends. 11.05% occupancy tax included.

Free laundry room and private courtyard.
This is a friendly residential area and we would ask that you respect our neighbors' tranquility.

We are available to our guests for orientation and to answer any questions.

Home to San Diego's turn of the century elite, this park-adjacent neighborhood is an exciting mixture of mansions and luxury residential towers. The lower unit consists of mirror image bedrooms and en-suite baths all with queen beds and luxury linens. Newly restored...now open for guests, more photos coming soon!

Street parking available. Buses operate on 1st and 5th Avenues. Within 5 minutes from San Diego International Airport, downtown and Hillcrest.

Each mirror-image bedroom is equitable in its size and appointments. All queen beds with luxury linens with plenty of storage and closet space. Completely outfitted designer kitchens with new equipment and amenities.

This was a terrific place to stay. A lovely bungalow tucked behind a house on a quiet street in Bankers Hill near Hillcrest— 10 minutes to the San Diego airport or downtown and plenty of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. I’m looking forward to another opportunity to visit San Diego and stay at this place.

The Carriage House has become our go-to place when we visit San Diego. Spacious and comfortable living/dining area, lovely patio for having an evening drink…and when traveling with children, a second bathroom was a big plus.

Great little back house in a nice little neighborhood with easy access to Balboa Park. I particularly like the attention to high quality decorating details. Cookware and stove and, even the coasters, were of very high quality. The furniture and the rug too. Very comfortable. Felt private but also open to the outside.

We loved it! The property was clean, quiet, and spacious (including the outdoor patio). Lovely location in Banker’s Hill, with the 3, 11, and 120 bus routes (running uptown towards Hillcrest or downtown towards the Gaslamp Quarter) just a block or two away. The price charged was almost 1000 dollars more than the listing on Vrbo. I asked the owner, but never received an answer to this question. It is a great place to stay and I do not want to take away from the house, however I will pay closer attention to the price charged vs the listing price. The host was very responsive to questions. It is very clean and has the older carriage house feel, very nice.

Dining and walking extravaganza

This place is adorable. We enjoyed the courtyard and comfy indoor area. Dining in the local area was fabulous and all in walking distance. Balboa park was closer than i thought. Walked 20 miles in 2 days. We will be back. Hosts were accommodating and communication was exceptional.

Property is very conveniently located to I5, 163. Just a few minutes to Coronado and Airport. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, etc. Upscale decorated.
