This is the sweetest little cottage. The host, Rebecca, sent us a wonderful welcome letter with all the information and ideas for spots to visit. The cottage was immaculate and the kitchen had every item you could need or want. The bed was extremely comfortable and we felt like we found our home away from home. Hope to get to go back someday!
We had such a great girls' weekend here! Its close enough to walk literally anywhere in town but still far enough from the hustle and bustle to be quiet in the evenings. Rebecca and Bill are very attentive and have a wealth of recommendations for the area. We would.love to come stay again!
This little cottage was wonderful. Old school charm, very warm and inviting. My wife and I felt at home. Very clean, very down to earth. Lots of books to enjoy, board games, bicycles, fire pit, again just like home.Thank you.
I feel so incredibly lucky that we found this home, and completely blessed that it was available when we needed. If it is open - stop searching, and book immediately. This house was a HOME, and felt like walking into my granny’s house (in the best way). So many rentals are very sterile and cheap feeling, this home is cozy, comfortable, clean, and inviting. Great location, we walked everywhere! We also enjoyed every morning on the front porch area. So dreamy! We will be back!

The location was perfect for exploring New Buffalo, and beyond. The home is quaint, and perfect for our family of 4. The host was kind enough to leave extra bedding as one of our teenage sons preferred to sleep on the couch during our stay. We loved having beach towels, chairs, and bikes included with the rental! The kitchen was well stocked, and the front porch was a welcoming spot to relax. This home is walkable to all things downtown New Buffalo, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
The location was perfect. The house was very comfortable and relaxing. It has everything you need very very cute and the owner Rebecca and Bill. Perfect.
Storybook Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. It is close enough but far enough to do whatever you like. So peaceful was the cottage, escaping was so easy.

Guests were respectful of our cottage and seemed to enjoy their time here. We would welcome them back at any time.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at storybook cottage. Very clean, comfortable and nostalgic vintage decor. Location allowed us to visit Chicagoland to the East and all of the Indiana/Michigan south shore towns.
Enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Storybook Cottage. The home was immaculate with very nice furnishings/decor and comfortable beds. The location was ideal for getting to downtown New Buffalo and the several quaint, lakeside towns to the north. This cottage truly deserves the high ratings it has received from those that have stayed there previously.

Thanks for the kind words, Mark! You are the kind of guest that we truly appreciate. We are grateful for guests who are circumspect in the way they take care of our cottage while they are here. You are welcome to return at any time, Mark! Remember that summer offers great beach weather but the other seasons have their own somewhat secretive, unique, and quieter vibe. If you want to enjoy Harbor Country in the quieter months, remember we are here!
This unique cottage has it ALL !In residential but private with all yardage and landscaping!Inside fully equipped in kitchen plus extras !2 bedrooms spacious ! And the decorating is designer quality! Furniture super comfortable! Location close to town and shops can beach ! Great communication with owners !Highly recommend and would come back in a New York minute !!! However pure Michigan is in our hearts ! Farmers market a must do too!
My sister and I enjoyed the cottage very much. The owners have put a lot of thought and time in decorating this homey cottage. It reminded us of our grandmas house! A perfect place to stay for us 😊

The kitchen was generally well stocked and adequate for our needs. The porch was lovely, private, and we spent every morning there enjoying our coffee and breakfast. The bedrooms and mattresses were very comfortable! We truly enjoyed our time reconnecting in Storybook Cottage!

About the host
Hosted by Rebecca Conway
Rebecca and her husband, Bill met when they were both in the sixth grade talent show at New Buffalo Elementary School. They wonder--since they were in the same class starting in kindergarten--why it took them so long! After college, both moved away from the area but, after reconnecting, getting married, and birthing two baby girls, they were quick to return "home" in order to give their girls the same advantages they had growing up. It is true--every member of the Conway family knows he or she is fortunate to live in a one-stoplight town on a big lake with small town advantages and big city opportunities. The family resides just a few houses down from Rebecca's family home and enjoys sharing the Storybook Cottage with others.
