A very clean and beautiful appointed cottage with everything you need. We enjoyed the view over the quay from the bedroom window and the closeness of pubs, restaurants, a fish and chips takeaway and a really good Deli. Derek was a fantastic host replying promptly to queries and was very accommodating. 10 out of 10 from us. We hope to stay again some time.

Just returned home after x1 week stay at this charming property. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us and so we ended up staying within the ‘confines’ of the cottage much more than we had anticipated. The cottage is tardis like - looks small from the outside but is very large/comfortable inside. Everything is high end and the double bed is extremely comfortable with lovely quayside views from the bedroom. Loved and really appreciated the outside courtyard space, as living in a high rise in London with no outside space this to us was a luxury! Great location, spotlessly clean would highly recommend.

Lovely Stay

We had a fantastic stay in Appledore. The property has amazing views from the master bedroom and is well stocked with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. Great location too.

Absolutely loved staying at the cottage and in Appledore. Will definitely be looking to return as it was such an excellent accommodation, with everything we could need, and in such a lovely location.

Excellent property and fantastic location

The stay was amazing, right on the quay so great views from the bedroom of the sunrise in the morning. Communication with Derek was really good and house had all the require facilities for our 2 week stay.

The cottage is in a lovely position overlooking the quay. Although parking is at the kerbside, we never had a problem parking either outside or nearby.This old cottage has been modernised very well and has a surprising amount of space. Everywhere was very clean and well equipped.The bed in the master bedroom was one of the comfiest we have slept in and the view from the bedroom windows across the estuary was lovely.There's a decent selection of pubs to choose from given that Appledore is quite small. All had a good selection of beers. To eat, Jack Spratts was good, and The Royal Plaice fish 'n' chip shop behind the cottage served great food, but service was slow.All in all, would definitely recommend staying here.

A wonderful stay

This was our 2nd time visiting Appledore and we were very happy to stay at the same property. It’s a wonderful place to stay. Great location and everything we needed. We love the area and really hope to be back soon. A truly wonderful holiday!

What a lovely property. We so enjoyed our stay in this pretty cottage. Very cosy, comfortable rooms! Right on the quay with wonderful views across the estuary. Cafes and restaurant close by.

Fab quayside cottage

A very comfortable and well equipped home from home in a great location. Lovely to find a bottle chilling in the fridge and fresh pack of filter coffee among the supplies too. Excellent property and host.

Lovely clean and well equipped property. Location was perfect. Loved the seats by the bedroom windows with fantastic views over the estuary. Also a comfy bed too.
