There was everything you could want within a mile or two walking. All of the kitchen items were there for us, including wine glasses. The oven was perfect to heat up what we needed. Helene was patient with us and very helpfull, definitely would consider returning.

To be accurate, it’s more like 15-20 min walk to town, not 10. Parking is on the street, if you can find it and the photos of the back sitting area is a bit misleading, since it’s in a little court with 7’ walls. But, to be fair, the place is very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfy, very quiet neighbourhood and was very safe. It was a nice place overall.

Quiet and private retreat

Easy to get to, close to the old town, (15 min walk) well equipped kitchen, grocery stores close by, great public transportation. i really enjoyed my time here, perfect little get away. Didn’t need anything from the hosts but they made sure to share contact info and they live on the property.

Lovely

We so enjoyed our stay at Hélène's in Aix. The location was unbeatable: a quiet neighborhood, but so easy to walk to the heart of the old town! The apartment was small, but perfect size for us, and we particularly enjoyed the back terrace for our morning coffee. It was easy to park, easy to check in, and Hélène was quick to respond to all questions. We would stay again, if we were lucky enough to return to the region!

Rustic traditional unit….aging furniture and no air conditioning in very hot summer.Oner supplied fan on request…20 minute very hot walk to City Centre. Why did you book an apartment without air conditioned if you need it so much. ?For information, as I tall you there are parkings all around Aix. You just cannot cross the old Center by car. The center is pedestrian. You can reach it by bus if you don’t want to walk 15 mn. Concerning the furniture we chose to furnish the apartment with antique furniture . on the other hand the bed, sofa and kitchen are recent as in the photos of the ad. Finally we would have appreciated it if you responded to our messages, especially regarding your arrival time, emptied your bins and washed your dishes before leaving . Hope that next time you’ll choose a place who fit you more nicely. Regards

Great apartment but location is off the beaten path and not good for evening walking.

This is a lovely apartment and one could stay here for an extended period of time. The neighborhood is mostly residential and the owners live in an attached home which is lovely. There are some things a future renter should know. Number one, the house is down a dark driveway and is hidden by an automatic gate. I arrived at night without any advanced preview of this situation, the drive was pitch black and I had no warning of the electric gate - so I spent the first night in a hotel which my cab driver took me to. The owners picked me up at the hotel the next morning and took me to the apartment which was very nice of them. They need to update their directions to future renters - this is a big problem. Secondly, if you are a single female this is probably not the place to stay because it is very dark in the evenings and you would not feel safe walking here from the bus stop so you would have to take taxis home from the village center. If you are male or part of a couple - no problems. The walk to town is 15 minutes and very nice and there are 2 bus stops nearby. The buses are very easy to figure out. Last, but not least, the apartment was spotless, but, there is a smoker in the home and the cigarette smoke seeps into the apartment and is very noticeable. For French people who seem to all smoke, again, no problem, but if you do not like smoke I would not recommend this apartment. It was not bad enough to make my clothes smell, but it did bother my eyes at night. So, all in all an OK stay but I would not book here again if I was traveling alone. But, if you are looking for a place to stay for awhile and are part of a two-some, it would be more than fine.

I'm very sorry for the disagreements you may have felt. As you write it, the apartment is situated in a residential neighborhood and the area is very safe. The street is lit and I told you that the apartment was situated at the end of the path (40 meters). The taxi should have dropped you just in front of the apartment. I was here to welcome you but you dialed two wrongs numbers because of the french dial code. Anyway, if you have walked into the path just a few steps, the light would have be on automatically. There is actually an electric gate but also an intercom and a bell and I was here to welcome you. Concerning the smell of smoke, the apartment is non-smoking but It is possible to smoke on the terrace outside.

L’annonce de la location ne correspond pas à la réalité. La photo avec la table et les chaises devant la porte d'entrée à l'extérieur laisse croire que l’on pouvait disposer de la cour.Vous auriez dû le préciser que cette cour était la vôtre. . ET d'ailleurs, pas de table et de chaises donc photo trompeuse.Uniquement, devant la chambre, une petite cour avec des murs de 3 mètres de haut non entretenue,difficile d'ouvrir et fermer les volets.Et la terrasse en bois ,pas vu.En équipements, il manquait le lave linge pourtant noté dans le descriptif, le barbecue,le fer et la table à repasser, le bureau dans la chambre. La maison n’est pas accessible en fauteuil roulant pourtant écrit dans l'annonce. Et une odeur de tabac froid très désagréable déjà signalé par d’autres locataires.L’endroit ,en revanche, était très calme .Petite précision, La Retonde et le Cours Mirabeau se trouvent à 30 minutes à pied en marchant bien...

Désolée que l’appartement ne vous ait pas satisfait. Je me permets en toute bonne foi quelques précisions. Cet appartement n.est pas un appartement familial mais un 2P pour 2 personnes.Il est possible de profiter d.une partie de la cour par laquelle nous sommes obligés de passer pour rentrer chez nous. Nous vous avons proposé davantage de chaises pour vos filles et petite fille.En revanche une terrasse à l’arrière est en jouissance exclusive, entretenue malgré vos dires, certes entourée de murs vegetalisés qui apportent fraîcheur et intimité. Notre buanderie ainsi que la table à repasser sont à disposition en partage, nous vous avons invité à l.utiliser mais vous n.avez pas donné suite. La rue d’Italie (rue commerçante du centre ancien est bien à 15 mn de marche, le cours Mirabeau à 20mn selon tous les GPS. De plus, 2 autobus à proximité desservent de nombreux quartiers d’Aix. Je précise que lorsque l’on coche la case terrasse sur la plate-forme elle ne propose que terrasse en bois. Bonne continuation

Fußläufig zur Altstadt

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr schön, liebevoll eingerichtet mit schönen Details. Das historischen Zentrum war fußläufig erreichbar, was wir sehr vorteilhaft fanden, ein guter Ausgangspunkt um Aix zu erkunden. Die Gastgeber, Herr und Frau Spieldenner, haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen und standen für Fragen und Tipps zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sehr gemütliches Apartment

Hélène war eine sehr nette Gastgeberin und die Kommunikation war sehr einfach. Das Appartment liegt ca. 2 km vom Zentrum entfernt. Die Wohnung war gemütlich eingerichtet, allerdings gibt es keine Klimaanlage.
