There was everything you could want within a mile or two walking. All of the kitchen items were there for us, including wine glasses. The oven was perfect to heat up what we needed. Helene was patient with us and very helpfull, definitely would consider returning.

To be accurate, it’s more like 15-20 min walk to town, not 10. Parking is on the street, if you can find it and the photos of the back sitting area is a bit misleading, since it’s in a little court with 7’ walls. But, to be fair, the place is very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfy, very quiet neighbourhood and was very safe. It was a nice place overall.

Quiet and private retreat

Easy to get to, close to the old town, (15 min walk) well equipped kitchen, grocery stores close by, great public transportation. i really enjoyed my time here, perfect little get away. Didn’t need anything from the hosts but they made sure to share contact info and they live on the property.

Comfortable and convenient

The property is convenient for two people to stay in. Close enough to walk to the old town and the grocery shop. A good base to visit rural villages etc.

Nice & quiet apartment a short walk from inner Aix-en-Provence

Very comfortable small apartment in quiet backstreet 10 minutes walk from the old city. Highly recommended.

Convenient for visiting the old town.

We had a pleasant stay. We soon learnt that what we thought was a microwave was in fact a small oven. Bed large and comfortable with excellent pillows.

Lovely

We so enjoyed our stay at Hélène's in Aix. The location was unbeatable: a quiet neighborhood, but so easy to walk to the heart of the old town! The apartment was small, but perfect size for us, and we particularly enjoyed the back terrace for our morning coffee. It was easy to park, easy to check in, and Hélène was quick to respond to all questions. We would stay again, if we were lucky enough to return to the region!

Rustic traditional unit….aging furniture and no air conditioning in very hot summer.Oner supplied fan on request…20 minute very hot walk to City Centre. Couldn’t use car because of no available parking in centre.Left early to get air conditioned Hotel sleep before flying back to Australia Enjoyed Aix and countryside

Great apartment but location is off the beaten path and not good for evening walking.

This is a lovely apartment and one could stay here for an extended period of time. The neighborhood is mostly residential and the owners live in an attached home which is lovely. There are some things a future renter should know. Number one, the house is down a dark driveway and is hidden by an automatic gate. I arrived at night without any advanced preview of this situation, the drive was pitch black and I had no warning of the electric gate - so I spent the first night in a hotel which my cab driver took me to. The owners picked me up at the hotel the next morning and took me to the apartment which was very nice of them. They need to update their directions to future renters - this is a big problem. Secondly, if you are a single female this is probably not the place to stay because it is very dark in the evenings and you would not feel safe walking here from the bus stop so you would have to take taxis home from the village center. If you are male or part of a couple - no problems. The walk to town is 15 minutes and very nice and there are 2 bus stops nearby. The buses are very easy to figure out. Last, but not least, the apartment was spotless, but, there is a smoker in the home and the cigarette smoke seeps into the apartment and is very noticeable. For French people who seem to all smoke, again, no problem, but if you do not like smoke I would not recommend this apartment. It was not bad enough to make my clothes smell, but it did bother my eyes at night. So, all in all an OK stay but I would not book here again if I was traveling alone. But, if you are looking for a place to stay for awhile and are part of a two-some, it would be more than fine.

Fußläufig zur Altstadt

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr schön, liebevoll eingerichtet mit schönen Details. Das historischen Zentrum war fußläufig erreichbar, was wir sehr vorteilhaft fanden, ein guter Ausgangspunkt um Aix zu erkunden. Die Gastgeber, Herr und Frau Spieldenner, haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen und standen für Fragen und Tipps zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Très belle location

L'appartement est assez proche du centre-ville et le stationnement est relativement facile dans la rue, selon les heures de la journée. La location est parfaite pour un séjour de courte durée avec une décoration soignée et tout ce qui est nécessaire.

Sehr gemütliches Apartment

Hélène war eine sehr nette Gastgeberin und die Kommunikation war sehr einfach. Das Appartment liegt ca. 2 km vom Zentrum entfernt. Die Wohnung war gemütlich eingerichtet, allerdings gibt es keine Klimaanlage.
