Lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage with 2 convertible sofa beds, sits on a large and beautifully landscaped lakefront parcel. Private lakefront accommodations including use of summertime paddle boats, sunbathing area on top of boat house. Cottage is a short walk to Gar Woods, Miniature Golf and Pizza and also very convenient to shopping, and dining in Tahoe City and Kings Beach. In the summer time join nearby golf courses and in the winter the house is a short drive to Northstar, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Lodging features include beautiful lakeviews from the open living and dining area, large fireplace with firewood included. The expansive patio includes a BBQ and plenty of seating for friends and family and during the summer enjoy strolling among the bright and sunny lawns and flower beds along the lakeshore.

THIS PROPERTY IS NOT TO BE USED FOR HOSTING LARGE GATHERINGS (12+ people) and there is no burning, fire pit or open charcoal of any kind allowed. These two subjects are strictly enforced under Placer County Sheriff and violations be charged to the renter.

The weather was wonderful! We loved the easy walking access to morning coffee, restaurants, and paddle boat rentals. The hosts were extremely gracious and provided beautiful outdoor grounds, a great dock, and high-quality water accessories.

Great place on the N Shore of Lake Tahoe

This property is GREAT! Serene, excellent location, quiet with access to the lake shore and a lakeside path to local Gar Woods Restaurant. Hosts are responsive and very friendly. Becoming our annual trip there!

Beautiful view

Loved the view ! The inside just needs a bit more cleaning … many cob webs and no bath soaps and I really wanted to take a bath but no plug for the tub. We really want to stay again though :)

Of course, we brought our own Pack & Play, but as the host provided one, we were able to have one set up in the upstairs bedroom and in the living room, which made things very convenient.

Another great stay!

This property is just right for us. Wonderful view and location just far enough away from the city to feel good. Plenty of amenities. Unfortunately they were doing 24/7 road construction just next to the property, but they moved far enough away in a day or two and it was fine after that. Nothing to be done and not owner's fault. Lake was full which always makes it nice. Already booked for next year!

Ideal location

Amazing location! Great spot for a family summer vacation. The outdoor spaces are so awesome. The large porch, big grassy area, the swing set, the boat house deck, access to paddle boat and kayak, and of course the lake! Hard to beat this combo. The inside of the house is quite outdated, but it’s a decent amount of space, well equipped, and seemed pretty clean. We would have preferred a slightly more updated interior, and upgraded bedding/pillows, but the location and outside features made up for where the house was slightly lacking. I think we’ll be back!

Perfect Family Vacation

We had a great time and everything was as pictured. The home is older and a bit disorganized but cozy. The amenities were great. We used the paddle boat and kayaks. There were only 2 life jackets in the house which was fine for us given we only had 1 person under 12yo. I was surprised there were no beach towels and we ended up purchasing some which was fine since we drove vs flying. The bugs were to be expected but a bit too much for me at times, lots of spiders in the house. It wasn’t the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed inOverall we had a great time and will hopefully revisit in the future.

Lovely

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. We loved the wrap around porch with a perfect view of the lake. The yard was amazing; we only wished for some comfortable chairs down on the grass and especially on the boat house deck. We ended up purchasing some on our own to use and donating them to the house. The kitchen was well appointed and easy to cook some fantastic dinners! We could see some updates were being made to the doors ( with the pieces of wood we had to step over to go outside) but that was a small price to pay for the comfort of our stay. We will be back.

very disappointing

Sorry Erin, I was so disappointed when i walked into your cabin. There is so much deferred maintenance there. Carpets were full of black stains, door screens hanging by a thread,slider did not lock, many, many other problems. Needs an upstairs window covering as main road is so close to the property, anybody can see in. The very next day I went out looking for another place to stay. Because I prepaid for 4 nights, I stuck it out. I am returning to the Lake, but would not stay at your cabin again. You were so nice on the phone that i didn't want to complain.

This is a huge disappointment, and I wish you had called me rather than "stick it out." We had a great rapport, I gave you a discount, and your BBQ request was fixed within the hour. The house is not 100% perfect, but what vacation rental is? I wish people treated a vacation rental well, but in reality it's often the opposite. The carpets are cleaned every 6 months, so stains, yes, but dirty, no. We've been doing work little by little as budgets and guest stays allow. The couches are brand new as well as other furnishings, and the dryer is brand new. The window coverings are on order because we just repainted the room I had no idea the sliding door doesn't lock or perhaps could it be user error? Letting me know of things that need attention is one thing, but lack of understanding and nit-picking doesn't seem fair. I have repeat guests that come year after year, and never have I had such harsh reviews. However we had great communication and I would have remedied the situation before it became hurtful. I believe the right thing to do would be to amend your review, but that is in your hands. I am sorry that you had such a horrible time and even more sorry you didn't give the chance to fix that.

Great location, cute house

Let me start by saying that I would absolutely book this home again. The lakefront location absolutely can not be beat. It is serene and beautiful and the views are unmatched. Access to the rooftop of the boathouse is definitely a huge plus. It’s the perfect place to hang out and enjoy the beauty that is Lake Tahoe. The house is well appointed, and even the pull out couches are extremely comfortable. We were a bit surprised to see that the upstairs bathroom did not have a door, so there was a bit of maneuvering to make things work out with 7 of us staying in the house. There is the one bedroom upstairs, and the stairs are immediately out the door, so if you’re staying with young children I would keep that in mind. I know my kids, and they are a bit of kamikazes sometimes so I might be a little bit nervous staying with younger ones. The water heater kept up extremely well with a large group, which was definitely a plus. Kitchen has enough pots and pans and dishes to cook and serve food. There was also a blender, some electric skillets, and a regular coffee maker. There is a Safeway nearby for any grocery needs, and multiple 7-Eleven‘s if you just need something small and quick. It is a short drive in to Kings Beach where there are more food options, tenders and easy drive into Incline Village and the state line area with casinos. Erin was attentive and quick to respond to a couple questions, so that was greatly appreciated. For the price and the location this house is a definite find. I hope to come back with my family soon so they can also experience the beauty that is Lake Tahoe.

September long weekend

The outdoor living space and amenities are unbelievable! The pictures do not capture the deck, grassy area or the lake access. Our group of two couples was comfortable with the indoor living space. The kitchen was well equipped — the only suggestion would be a few more coffee cups. I would absolutely stay again!

Location can’t be beat!

Cozy home with amazing Lake Tahoe views and access! We stayed over Thanksgiving and it was a perfect weekend refuge. Was great for a winter stay, can only imagine how perfect a summertime visit would be. Super close walk to GarWoods for drinks or dinner. Extremely comfortable beds too!

Lakeside Paradise

We rented this two bedroom house to ring in my son’s third birthday, and it was perfect. The house was clean and is nicer than the photos. The view was gorgeous. The best part was the direct lake access and large, shaded backyard. We had a piñata for him in the backyard. We used the owners paddle boat and took him out on the lake, which we all loved. Seeing Lake Tahoe from the water was a first for me; it’s so beautiful and peaceful. We also loved the swing set that overlooks the lake, which has an adult seat and toddler seat. This was the perfect spot to celebrate his 3rd birthday. Thank you, Erin and family!
