Beautiful place surrounded by nature. We especially enjoyed the starry sky, the sunrise and sunset, and evenings by the fire or the grill. Perfect for a small child to explore. Antonio is a very kind and welcoming host.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Antonio's house. The farm plot is absolutely stunning and we enjoyed our daily morning and evening walks along the paths that go around the perimeter of the property. The sunrise and sunsets are just gorgeous. The house itself is simple but still has everything we needed. Antonio was very welcoming and gave us lots of tips and recommendations on what to do in the area. If you are looking for a simple and peaceful holiday in the countryside, this is for you. We will 100% be returning.

Antonio couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions of places to visit & eat. Brilliant host. Lovely, secluded traditional style house set within a cork oak forest & farm. Great spot.

A relaxing break

A quiet, relaxing and rustic stay in a beautiful area and great surroundings. Whilst not in Milfontes ( actually just outside Circal) it is a great centre for touring the area and visiting Milfontes, Porto Cova, Silves and many of the smaller coves and villages. The house itself was spotlessly clean and a great place for your holiday.

A beautiful spot!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Antonios place. He is a very kind and welcoming host and the house and its sourroundings are just wonderful. We enjoyed the calmness of the sourrounding nature and the kids loved the chicken and the sheep! The place is very comfortable and has everything you need for having a great time. Thank you, Antonio!

Great location and host

Really welcoming host that provided us with some local specialities when we arrived. He came by to check on how we were doing and showed us where we could get eggs from the chicken a 100m from the house. The terrain is beautiful and the surroundings as well. Thank you Antonio for a wonderful week!

We loved Antonio’s beautiful little cabin. Very serene and we felt surrounded by tranquility. There was a miscommunication on our part about not knowing we needed a car, which we didn’t have. Antonio was excellent and sorted things out and so all was good. Thank you Antonio

Such a beautiful place

We stayed at this cozy and very lovely place for one week. We enjoyed the house and the surounding nature very much. It''s easy to make some different daytrips to beautiful places in the region around Cercal, Vila Nova de Milfontes and Odemira. Lonely beaches, easy walks and magnificient restaurants. António is the perfect and very kind host, who has got a lot of helpful recommendations for you...! The only sounds you can hear at night are frogs, sheeps, crickets and your own heartbeat. Go there and don't forget to walk to the little viewpoint on the property!!

Wonderful vacation in the country side

The property was beautiful, quiet and stress free. Antonio came up to greet us after we had settled in to drop off some coffee pods ,he had left a wonderful bottle of wine and fresh pastries for us.He is a great communicator, always guick to get back to us, and had supplied multiple suggestions for places to eat,places to see and where to shop. We used his place as a base to travel the area. Lots to see from old castles, Roman ruins, to a mine tour and of course the beautiful coastal areas. A walk around the hectares of his beautiful property was a nice way to spend the morning. Also the daily visits from his chickens was enjoyable.We would love to come back.Obrigado Antonio

Lovely house, quiet surroundings

This is a beautiful little house, set in a large area of cork oak trees. The trip back to the nearest town, and the shops, is only about 10 minutes but you definitely need your own transport. Antonio was very helpful and welcoming and had provided us with everything we needed, plus a few little welcome extras. There was plenty of wood for the fire and we were able to collect eggs from Antonio's hens. The surrounding area is very pleasant, there are fantastic beaches about 30 minutes away and some interesting historical sights. We would thoroughly recommend this house, and the Alentejo region generally, for a stay in Portugal.

Beautiful house in a quiet area

We wanted to visit the house two years ago and were prevented from doing so by Corona. That's why we looked forward to our stay for a long time and we would be rewarded. The house is wonderful and suitable for a very quiet holiday in nature. A rental car should be booked as it is just outside the town of Cercal. The location in the portal is not displayed correctly. We were there as a family with 2 children for 12 days and also cooked and grilled a lot. Communication with the host Antonio was perfect. We arrived very late due to a canceled flight, but that wasn't a problem.

Dear António,it was a most wonderful and enjoyable holiday at your house in the middle of the lovely hills of cork oaks, next to the sheep at the lake and all the unique viewpoints you arranged with passion! On top of that, (yes - literally) every miradouro was amazing and left us speechless! We couldn’t get enough, that’s for sure! The house was clean and cozy and got everything we needed - besides one or two sun loungers would be nice to take a nap in the shade around the house. António, as you know, you are so kind and very helpful at any time and it was a pleasure to take care of the fruit trees in return! Lovely situated on huge terrain.This basic vacation home is situated on a large terrain with cork oaks. It makes a nice contrast with the overdeveloped coastal region some 24 km away. You can literary drive around your house and a walk along the outer loop of this property is about 3.5 km long. I spotted a fox during one morning hike and there is a small lake with ducks. The owner is a real host and not only takes care for the property but also for you.The house is basic with a well supplied wood stove for heating, a gas stove for cooking and an electric boiler for hot water. There are only the local TV channels but the internet is OK. For reading books inside you can use some better light as the windows are small. Asked for a rating I find that many people rate pretty high. For me a 10 is reserved for when there's nothing to improve which is seldom. As for hospitality Antonio earns a 10 however.We spend 9 days in December and had a good time.

Peace & tranquility in rural Alentejo

We had a fantastic 8 night stay in this comfortable, rustic cottage, which has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. The terrace gets the sun all day long and the views are amazing. Inside the house is very comfortable, but we didn’t spend much time inside as the outside is so fantastic. We loved watching the night’s sky and saw shooting stars every night. The cottage is in an amazing setting. There are 2 other cabins on the property, but the plot is so large that you can’t see or hear them. There is a private lake, with seating making it perfect for an evening drink or picnic! The private viewpoint overlooking the whole property is amazing. We also enjoyed feeding the chickens and geese. There is a local bar (Cafe Primo Sergio) a 30 min walk from the house which serves good, home cooked food. The owner speaks very good English and both he and his wife are really friendly. The closest town is Cercal which is about a 10 minute drive away. It has everything you need, including an excellent bakery. Communication with the owner was excellent before and during our stay.

Das Haus ist in einer wunderschönen Lage, alleine und sehr ruhig. Die Kommunikation mit António war immer sehr gut und er gab uns hilfreiche Tipps. Ein- und Ausschecken war unkompliziert. Allerdings ist die Beschreibung über die Lage des Hauses nicht korrekt. Weder Strände noch Geschäfte oder Restaurants sind zu Fuß erreichbar.

Wunderschönes Gelände, absolute Ruhe. Antonio ist ein super Gastgeber und die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet. Man muss nur bedenken, dass man zu den Stränden ca. 25 Autominuten benötigt, dafür aber sehr ungestört ist :) Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.
