Casa etnea - Etna natural Park

Old typical house completely renovated, real countryside, at about 900 meters with great view over Ionian sea and mount Etna. Relax pool to enjoy the house after a walk on the old crater that is realy close to the house.
From the house you can reach in about 30 minutes the Ionian sea and at the same time the highest parts of the volcano. Etna sout touristic area, with the cableway, is no more then 20 minutes from Casa Etnea-Volcano house. In the same house there is another smaller apartment. Two sleeping rooms with private bathroom inside another bathroom at ground floor.

Beautiful location

We enjoyed our stay and the location is beautiful if not a bit remote but we knew that going in. I realize its a very old house but a few things definitely need updating. The mirror in the downstairs bathroom is basically useless old and fogged over. The kitchen pots and pans were pretty dirty we had to wash before we used it. Its in a beautiful place and owner is very nice and interesting just need a few TLC touches and a good cleaning.

Das Haus von Giuseppe ist traumhaft schön gelegen, der Blick ist einfach schön, das Haus geräumig, die Terrasse super. Giuseppe ist ein großartiger Gastgeber, super freundlich, hilfsbereit, voller Wissen und zuvorkommend. Er hat uns die Umgebung und eine Lavahöhle in der Nähe gezeigt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder in sein sehr besonderes Haus am Ätna. Mille grazie

What a gem

Our hosts were super helpful and responsive to any questions we had. The property met our needs for a 10 day break. It is in a lovely quiet location within Etna parkland with a lovely view, especially in the evening when all the lights of Catania sparkle in the distance. We were able to pack in a number of different walks around Etna, a trip to the Aeolian Islands, a visit to Taormina, Syracuse and Noto, a visit to the Alcantara Gorge and some beach-time. We only used the pool at the house a handful of times but were grateful that it was there. Be warned that you need bottled water for drinking as the tap water is not recommended.

Il nostro soggiorno al antico casale è stata un esperienza oltre che positiva. La proprietà e molto confortevole e situata immersa nel verde, ai piedi del vulcano e a dir poco pittoresca. I proprietari si sono dimostrati di una squisitezza unica nei nostri riguardi, facendoci sentire a nostro agio per tutta la durata della nostra permanenza. Sicuramente una casa vacanze in cui soggiornare nei nostri prossimi viaggi in Sicilia.

Endroit et hôtes exceptionnels

Un beau coin de pays. Une jolie maison nichée dans la montagne, à quelques pas de l’Etna... Vue imprenable sur la mer dans un décor enchanteur. Nous pouvons entendre l’Etna gronder au loin... Des hôtes très disponibles, gentils, accueillants et maîtrisant parfaitement la langue française. Experts de l’Etna de surcroît. Ils sauront vous guider. La maison est au calme et incite à la détente. Parfait pour une famille, un couple ou entre amis. Je recommande ! Un merci tout particulier à Giuseppe 😀

Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve. Le site est super. Une maison à l'élégance rustique. Un panorama à couper le souffle. Le volcan s'impose et veille sur vous. Bel emplacement

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable de 6 jours à Trécastagni. La maison comprend deux logements. Le lieu est très appréciable car au calme. Il faut néanmoins cohabiter avec les fourmis qui s'empressent de dévorer tout ce qui traine (!). Attention également à garder les sandales sur le bord de la piscine pour éviter les échardes. Pas mal de visites à faire dans le coin entre Taormina, Syracuse, mais surtout, des ballades SPLENDIDES auprès de l'Etna. Nous y avons consacré 3 jours pleins avec 3 enfants et c'est un régal. Giuseppe donne de bons conseils sur les parcours qui permettent d'éviter le monde et les prix "touristiques". Les hôtes sont très sympas et parlent un français impeccable. Merci encore!

Superbe logement!

Nous avons passé un super moment dans cette location! L'emplacement est très calme tout en étant bien situé pour circuler dans les environs! La piscine est plus qu'appréciable après une bonne journée de marche! Les hôtes sont également super! Très gentils et disponibles pour nous donner de bons conseils! Amazing stay in Casa Etnea

Villa is situated around 45min-1hr from Catania Airport. It is very peaceful and natural envorinment. There is no Air conditioning but it is not necessery as the nights are a bit colder as the villa is higher up the mountain. Pool is big enough for dip after whole day in sun. The owners are very friendly and easy going. They made us fabolous dinner and it was the best pasta we had in whole Sicily. Giuseppe knowledge of Etna and Sicily is huge. We had one issue with hot water but it was sorted out very quickly. I highly recommend Casa Etnea and whole Sicily.

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr ansprechend und geschmackvoll gestaltet, die Alleinlage am Berg ein Traum. Allein der AUblick über die Bucht von Catania war der Urlaub wert. Ideal zum Abschalten und die Landschaft genießen. Die Vermieter waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Insgesamt ein ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Gerne wieder und absolut weiterempfehlenswert.

Un séjour des plus agréables

Nous nous sommes vraiment plus à Casa Etnea, en pleine nature, avec cette vue dégagée magnifique sur la mer, sa terrasse pour profiter du petit déjeuner ou d'un repas en plein air. La maison est bien équipée et les chambres spacieuses. Un grand merci à nos hôtes pour les petites attentions à notre arrivée ainsi que le jour du départ, et tout particulièrement à Giuseppe pour ses conseils de balades et pour nous avoir fait partager sa passion de l'Etna.

Den Ätna hautnah erleben... fantastisch

"Einige Orte können zweifellos als die bezauberndsten der Erde bezeichnet werden, und wenn der Ätna innen wie die Hölle aussieht, können wir mit Recht sagen, dass er dem Paradies am nächsten kommt. " (P. Brydone) Wir haben hier mit unseren Freunden (4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) eine wundervolle Woche verbracht. Fernab der Touristenmassen relaxen und die Natur genießen. Von unserem Vermietern Marta und Giuseppe wurden wir herzlich begrüßt. Sie waren sehr aufmerksam und trotzdem nicht aufdringlich. Wir haben die abendlichen Gespräche mit Giuseppe sehr genossen. Vielen Dank für die tollen Tipps und Inspirationen bei einem Glas sizilianischem Wein. Das Haus wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail renoviert , so dass der Charme des alten Weinguts erhalten blieb. Der Ätna Nationalpark bietet vielfältige Wandererlebnisse, so dass wir mal scheinbar auf Mondkratern und dann wieder in Wälder und Gärten unterwegs waren. Besonders beeindruckend fanden wir die Touren im Nordpark. Die Woche verging wie im Fluge. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!! Vielleicht mal zu einer anderen Jahreszeit :)

Magnificent!

We spent two weeks at volcano house. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great view from the sitting area - especially in the night. Guiseppe and Marta are great hosts and told us so interesting things about the Etna. It's very close to the Etna and a great position to visit Taormina and Syracus. Simply wonderful.

Que du bonheur

En Sicile, il y a la chaleur, le soleil, les paysages, la gentillesse des Siciliens. En Sicile, il y a la cuisine, les légumes, le bon (très bon) vin de l'Etna, les granita, les Arancini (Palermo ou Catane ?) En Sicile, il n'y a pas le code de la route (sauf le jour du passage du permis de conduire), mais on s'y fait très bien, car c'est sans agressivité. J'ai virtuellement perdu mes 12 points français en conduisant comme un Sicilien, mais sans douleur. Et par dessus tout, en Sicile, il y a la Casa Etnea de Pierra et Giuseppe, sans oublier l'autre Giuseppe et Anna. La Casa Etnea est une maison de famille, mais elle a ceci d''extraordinaire que vous devenez membre de la famille (une famille sicilienne c'est quelque chose d'exceptionnel !). Pierra et Giuseppe parlent un français a nous donner honte de ne savoir dire que "Grazie". C'est un bonheur de passer des heures à discuter de l'Etna autour d'un verre de Grillo, et quand on a envie de changer de sujet, on peut parler de la Parmiggiana (et apprendre à la faire ensemble), de la Chapelure et des "Masculine" (private joke autour du poisson). Et quand la famille et les amis se réunissent pour un repas, le fait de ne pas parler les mêmes langues (Giuseppe et Anna) n'est pas un problème, les sourires remplacent les mots. Nous avons passé trois semaines à alterner les visites et les journées de farniente au bord de la piscine (dont la température n'a atteint QUE les 31°) où on se disait qu'il faisait chaud, mais que la piscine, les romarins et la vue sur Monte Illice (notre cratère privatif) étaient de bien belles choses, façon Dolce Vita. Pour parler de Trescastagni, les commerçants y sont sympathiques, toujours enthousiastes à vous faire découvrir les produits locaux. Pour les visites, ne manquez pas de visiter place Saint Alfio, le petit musée des Ex-votos. C'est unique ! Pour finir, nous exprimons un énorme remerciement à nos amis Pierra et Giuseppe pour leur sens absolument exceptionnel de l'accueil. Grazie mille... et à bientôt. 6 étoiles pour cette location ( références : nous avons plus de 10 locations homelidays en Europe depuis 2010)

Magnifique endroit en pleine nature

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine à la casa Etna. C'est une maison très bien rénovée, spacieuse et fonctionnelle. Nous remercions Guiseppe qui parle un excellent français et a été de bon conseil pour nos excursions sur l Etna et son fils Alfredo pour l'accueil sympathique malgré l'heure tardive! Nous reviendrons volontiers y séjourner. La présence d'un second gîte mitoyen ne nous a pas gêné et cela nous a permis d'échanger sur la découverte de cette belle région. Petites améliorations possibles : ajouter quelques panneaux pour indiquer l'accès à la casa (difficile à trouver de nuit !) et l'équipement de la cuisine un peu juste pour six.

Bien sur, il y a là une maison écologique restaurée avec gout, chaleureuse et confortable (3 salles de bains !) Bien sûr, il y a là un panorama exceptionnel sur la mer et sur l'Etna (quelle magnifique terrasse) Bien sûr, il y a la proximité de Cataania, Taormina, Siracusa....(mais dans un endroit tranquille, loin du monde) Bien sûr, il Ya tout ça, mais en plus, il y a Giuseppe et son épouse, des hôtes exceptionnels ! Giuseppe vous parlera avec passion de "sa Etna" et vous tomberez amoureux de cette région.

"Magnifique maison dans la région de l''Etna, spacieuse et très bien rénovée. Très beau jardin avec vue sur la mer. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Giuseppe qui a pu nous donner des indications intéressantes sur la région et même nous mettre en contact avec un guide francophone pour effectuer une excursion sur l''Etna."
