Beautiful condo!

The condo was perfect! We were there for our son's wedding, and my mom, daughter and I all stayed there. It was beautiful looking out over the mountain and ocean and very quiet. Kenji had done a great job decorating the place and providing you everything you need.

A wonderful spot away from crowds

Property is well maintained with good security. Unit was well equipped for cooking and eating and sleeping. Plenty of closet space. Owner was quick to respond to inquiries and was very friendly and helpful. Lots of homeless people in the area, but they weren't obnoxious. Great hiking, snorkeling and diving nearby.

Perfect location and excellent host!

This rental was one of my absolute favorite. We were a little bit concerned from the reviews regarding this area of the island, but it was nothing!!! Even if it were, the Security on the property is excellent. The facility itself is extremely clean and well staffed with very friendly people. Everyone was very helpful in giving recommendations for local eating. Beach was less than half a mile, mountain ridge for hiking literally 3 minute drive. If you’re looking for non-tourist feel with every view..this is the place. The host allowed us to check out a few hours later so we enjoyed the time before we had to go to the airport. The condo itself was equipped for everything! The bed was very comfortable and again everything was simply perfect! We shopped at the local grocery and got things for breakfast for the fully equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean and felt like home. We Would definitely come back!

We liked your condo a lot. It had most everything that we needed for our short stay. You should know that one of the glass sliding doors in the closet area is not operable. We wanted to see if there was a clothes iron in there but we didn't want to break anything. The security control is pretty obnoxious but maybe it needs to be in Makaha. Perhaps crime is high is the reason for it.

Beautiful property tucked up against the mountains.

My husband and I have been traveling to Hawaii for work once a year for the past five years. This is by far our favorite stay. The grounds are beautiful and full of peacocks. The view of the mountains is incredible and the ocean is just moments away. The condo is just as portrayed in the photos. Benji was very helpful and answered our questions immediately. The place is clean, well decorated and has an amazing view!!! Just up the street we were able to watch spinner dolphins right at the shore jumping and playing with the people swimming! For free!!! There are not a lot of restaurants around but quite a few grocery stores and drugstores to get everything you need to stock the kitchen. Kapolei is not far and had all the restaurants and shopping you need plus a movie theatre. Traffic is always bad going into Honolulu but that is to be expected! Make sure you don’t miss the swap meet at the Aloha stadium. They have the best prices for gifts and crafts. We will be staying here again on our next visit!!! Thank you Benji!

I booked Kenjis unit for my parents, though I didn’t get to stay, my parents told me what a great unit it was! Clean, comfortable, with all the kitchen and bath necessities. They were very pleased with everything! I also really appreciated his communication. Since I booked the unit, my name was on the reservation, but Kenji took the time to give me a call the day my parents were checking in to get their names since he remembered I was booking for my parents. So glad to give my parents a wonderful stay in Hawaii at kenjis unit!

We will recommend this if anyone asks. Finally saw peacocks. Drive to Honolulu needs to be planned to avoid TRAFFIC. Picked the right side of the island for sure. Room was loaded with what we needed to get us started, linens were clean, bed was comfortable, appreciated the hand soap in bathroom. Decor was really nice.

elegant stay

Makaha Towers is in such a remote and interesting part of Oahu. The elegance of the Beks' condominium, combined with their hospitality which included complimentary chocolates and a bottle of wine, were unmatched on our week-long stay on the island. I should add that the only thing that matched the lodging was the expansive valley-to-beach view from their balcony! We will definitely hope to return. Anyone who travels to this side of Oahu should be interested in the TOTAL Hawaiian experience, which exposes one to the joys (and struggles) of "living in paradise" for those who make this their permanent home. The scenery and beaches are unique compared to the rest of the island. There are some interesting organic farm operations in the area hoping to improve lives for local folks. Thanks Kenji and Melody.

We so enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. The condo was comfortable, clean, and full of natural cleaning and hygienic products. The scenery is beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet. Location is beautiful, and the unit was very nice. Owners were quick to respond on the day of when security wasn't letting us in for parking. She called them right away and fixed the problem. They were a little slow at responding to messages sent through VRBO, but in the end they at least responded. Overall, great location for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed ourselves here. Thank you!

Enjoyed our 2 Night stay at Makaha Towers Condo. The owner has put in a lot of effort to make the interior of the apartment/condo to look and feel like home. No complaints, all things stated in the condo description were working as stated. Used the swimming pool as well, which is a good looking, well-maintained pool. The condo is located in a scenic setting, which also means that no restaurant and convenience store would be in walking distance. As long as you know it ahead of time, and stock yourself accordingly for breakfast and lunch etc, you should be fine, and enjoy the great, peaceful environment.

Beautiful escape to Makaha Valley

Kenji's condo was perfect for our anniversary getaway. We live on Oahu, but needed a mini vacation & this location was PERFECT! From the landscaping to the condo, everything was beautiful. This is by far our favorite VRBO rental! We loved the decor, the bed & couch were comfy (very unusual for a vacation rental), the staff at Makaha Valley Towers were spreading Aloha, & the beach was right up the road & not crowded at all. The only confusion was where we should park. We cleared that up with security who was friendly & helpful. Just park in the upper lot (even if you're told otherwise by office), stay in between the lines, & don't back in and you won't have any problems with parking lot security. Kenji was kind enough to return our parking permit & refund our parking deposit for us since we checked out on a Sunday. I'm sure we'll be back to this lovely place in the future!

Stylish Condo away from It All

The West (Leeward) side of O'ahu is a mixed bag accomodations-wise: there are the very expensive resorts in Ko'olina, and then varying vacation rentals. Kenji's "Peacock Suite" in the Makaha Valley Towers is just right for someone who wants comfort with style, but doesn't want to pay Ko'olina prices. We were visiting a friend in Waianae, and this rental served us perfectly. There is a closet stuffed with boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach mats, beach chairs, and coolers, so spending time at any of the great beaches nearby was easy and fun.

Amazing Condo!

Oh my! What an incredible view and a lovely condo! It was beautifully decorated. The property was clean and well maintained. Also, it was so nice that the condo was equipped with beach gear including towels, chairs, and surf boards. Kenji quickly answered any questions that we had. We loved waking up to such breath-taking scenery. We enjoyed the surrounding area in which explored the favorite places of the local people. We highly recommend Countryside Cafe for breakfast. We would definitely recommend this property to others and hope to stay here again soon.

Cancellation policy to far out

Due to a major airport shutdown on Wed April 5th and over 2500 flights being canceled in Atlanta a ripple effect happened at airports all over the country. My flight from Milwaukee to Dallas was canceled and my daughter's flight from Chicago to Dallas was canceled. We were told it would be days before they could get us on a flight that was not already oversold. Needless to say we did not make it to Dallas to catch our Friday April 7th flight to Honolulu. Due to the 30 day advance cancellation policy, the money for the condo will not be refunded. I strongly advise trip insurance however beware and read the fine print, most coverage is for catastrophic incidents only with proof required. Maybe someday I will make it to Hawaii.

Beautifully done! Loved this place

We are locals that live here on the islands. My daughter was in a surf competition in Makaha so we stayed out there for the week. I am a clean freak and this unit was definitely up to my standards. Loved the area and unit had an amazing view. Unit was nicely decorated and very neat. Kenji was very responsive and very accommodating. Will definitely be requesting to stay in this unit again for the next surf contest. Thank you Kenji for makIng our stay perfect!!!
