Recently renovated traditional village house

Recently renovated traditional village house, light and natural feel throughout. Located in an unspoilt valley with wonderful views to the sea. Only a short 15 mins drive inland away from the hustle and bustle of Malaga.

Municipal swimming pool 1 km away, open July and August, really peaceful.

The house has beautiful uninterrupted views of the sea in the distance in front and of a dramatic uninhabited valley behind. The property has a very light and warm natural feel with terracotta tiles, exposed stone walls, traditional oiled wooden doors and shutters and hand made decorative tiles used tastefully throughout. Two private terraces and a garden provide ample opportunity to enjoy the sun and views.
The nearest beach, Benajarafe is only 15 mins away and is very quiet with many beach restaurants.

Stays of 28 days or more have a good discount, so you will have to pay for your use of electricity, gas and wood. Also 60 eur cleaning fee.
We accept animals, 25 each per stay (60 eur in stays of 28 days or more).
Wood not included but it can be arranged.

Nice house with a wonderful view

This was our second stay in this house and we absolutely love the very calm area, perfect for relaxing. 15 minute drive to the beach is also perfect. Many beautiful sights within short distance.

Nice house away from the tourists in a tiny villagr

We stayed for 5 days in this house. It is located away from the tourists, so if you need a relaxing holiday, this is the spot. The house is situated 40 minutes away from the airport, so a car is obligatory. We were looking for a quet place to relax, so it was perfect for us. Also, there is a small garden in the back of the house that is completely closed so if you are travelling with your dog, for example, you can leave him free in the garden. There are three bedrooms, two of them with a double bed and the third with two separate beds (one on top of the other). There are some restaurants about 15 minutes drive away from the house. The beaches about half an hour away. There are no shops or restaurants in the village. So please buy stuff before you climb up the mountain road. There is no air conditioning in the house and as the bedrooms are upstairs for us it was like a sauna in there, as we were there in the beginning of August!! There are a few ventilators, but they do not help that much. So we did not sleep that well during our stay :(. Hopefully the owner will invest in an air conditioning, at least in the bedroom.... For equipment wise, we found unforunate that there were no tea kettle nor filtered coffee machine. They have a moka pot, but no way to make filtered coffee. Would have been nice to have those in the house.

Gemütliche Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus ist ideal zum entspannen in ländlicher Umgebung. Man hat einen tollen Ausblick auf die Berge von der idylischen Terasse! Die Einrichtung ist schön und die Betten und Matratzen sind neuwertig. Uns fehlte es an nichts. Das einzige Manko ist die Entfernung zum nächsten Supermarkt, sowie zu den bekannten Stränden. Um sich jedoch mal eine Auszeit aus der Stadt zu nehmen ist es perfekt. Grüsse aus Berlin!

Peace and Relax!

We were 5 women friends and we all loved the house! Very inviting to good moments, cosy, wonderful scenery and landscape, with an optimum energy, good neighborhood , very well equipped and the owner, Eva Manos, always available to know if everything was okay! We want to come back again! I strongly advise for the ones who find peace and relax!

House is really roughing it!

We rented this house to try something rustic, it was in a very small area that not many people knew where to find it. The house itself is really cute, the rooms are small and stuffy with exception to the master bedroom. The linens are awful and the accommodations by the owner were minimal. If you're looking for a very rustic feel living up in the country this is the place for you! When we had to leave the property early due to a complete infestation of fire ants the owner told us "this is typical of southern spain this time of year". The responsibility was washed off and we were left on our own to deal to with it. The windows have no screens and there is no real air ventilation so sleeping with the windows open and getting bite by bugs all night is your best option. I know he has received good reviews but I have to question who has been writing these reviews. If I was camping up north in Canada I would have been better off. I'm sorry to write such a terrible review but I wish I would have read about all of this before we booked so I knew what to expect.

Séjour très agréable

La situation de la maison est idéale si on recherche le calme et la nature, tout en restant à proximité des principaux lieux touristiques de la région de Malaga. Il faut compter environ 10-15 min depuis l'autoroute de routes de montagne pour rejoindre le petit village de Benaque. Mais, on trouve facilement grâce aux indications fournies par Eva avant le séjour. Les enfants ont beaucoup apprécié de trouver un panier de jouets bien garnis (ils n'ont même pas réclamer la télé !). Les deux terrasses vous offrent une vue magnifique sur la montagne. Encore merci pour tout, une semaine c'était trop court !

Pour de belles vacances

Cette maison est typique et très belle, agencée avec simplicité et bon gout, on s'y sent bien. Elle est au calme, dans l'arrière pays de Malaga. Les terrasses sont très agréables, elles permettent de prendre petit-déjeuner et repas à l'ombre, face à une belle vue. On y passe d'excellents vacances. A recommander !

"Nous avons été enchantés par votre jolie maison, spacieuse , confortable , avec 2 terrasses aux vues sublimes ! El entorno donde está ubicada esta casa es fantástico.La casa dispone de todas las comodidades para el alojamiento de 6 personas, el salon con su chimenea es especialmente acogedor... A destacar las 2 terrazas desde las que se puede disfrutar de un buen vaso de vino con unas vistas excepcionales. Sin duda, una estancia para repetir.

"What a wonderful house, ...

"What a wonderful house, with the most perfect surroundings! If you want a quiet, restful holiday in the 'real Spain' (but with the beach within a short drive's distance) this is the place for you. I cannot recommend this house highly enough. For a couple, or a family, it is very well equipped and perfectly situated for sunny morning breakfasts, and cool evening meals out on the terrace. Perfecto!"

Eva est une propriétaire disponible, très agréable et, bien qu''elle ne soit pas sur place, nous avons trouvé très facile de la rejoindre. Le village est super tranquille et c''est un lieu idéal pour explorer l''Andalousie. Enfin les voisins d''Eva sont charmants, ils nous manquent déjà. Nous avons passé deux semaines à profiter des terrasses, des sentiers de montagne et de la beauté du village. Nous avons été bien tristes le moment venu de quitter Benaque. Mais nous reviendrons ! "Coup de coeur pour Benaque-Macharaviaya ! La villa, les paysages, le village, les gens. Magnifique villa, confortable, bien équipée située dans un beau petit village dans les montagnes à seulement 8 km de l''autoroute. Une charmante villa de style espagnol rural avec toutes les commodités, toute une ambiance ! Assez près de Malaga pour pouvoir visiter la région, et assez à l''écart pour se retrouver dans un environnement paisible, aux premières loges pour les levers et couchers de soleil. La propriétaire Eva est bien organisée, facile à rejoindre. Nous nous sommes sentis privilégiés d''avoir l''occasion de passer une semaine de notre vie à cet endroit. Un souvenir précieux.
