Wonderful house

This is a lovely old French house with lots of rooms. Antique and modern furniture and a modern kitchen lots of kitchen equipment. Working bbq . Fantastic never ending garden and grounds. Ideal for large families and children. We had a great week here and want to return.

Great family holiday stay

The house is spacious and well equipped with fantastic outdoor space extending to woodland. The ground floor and all bathrooms were clean and tidy on our arrival. Some of the bedrooms were in need of some dusting though. The back staircase up to the second floor was slightly uneven. Our overall view of the house was that it was a fantastic place for a family holiday for 15 with ages from 4 to 69. The children loved all the toys and played hide and seek in the numerous rooms. The indoor and outdoor tables fit us all easily and the kitchen facilities were very good. For an outdoor style activity holiday the house was just perfect.

Impressive grounds

When we arrived, the property was more impressive than on the photos, the grounds are truly magnificent. We were greeted by Polo's sister Claire who was a delight. Our daughter arrived earlier and got the tour. The home is very spacious and good for large families. Set over 3 floors accessed by two sets of stairs, a larger spiral one in the main hall and a narrow precarious set, just off the kitchen that were not ideal when carrying young children up and downstairs as some stairs are narrow. I tripped a few times. Although beautiful to see the original staircase, just not ideal for luggage and small children. The downsides for us as a family were; there was nowhere to hang our clothes. Any wardrobes that were in the home were already in use with the owners items. We all had to live out of our suitcases, which was not ideal. A good amount of cobwebs and spiders, we live in a similar home and understand the upkeep but not what you expect in a hired home, not so much fun when you start off your holiday hoovering. There was ample seating which was great for our family and 3 grandchildren, however, the sofa had seen better days and was very dirty and musty. For us as a family, we would not return for these reasons. If you can see past these, then it is a wonderfully large home in a great location with beautiful grounds that could have you walking for hours.

Dear Lindsay, thank you very much for your comments, we are always glad to have feedbacks. We will indeed improve the space in the closet. We pay a lot of attention to have a well kept garden and a clean home. We are sorry to hear that the cleaness did not meet your expectations. We have a cleaning person coming twice a week for several hours, (and by the way we expect from our guests that they dispose of their own garbage which amount was important and that they do not let them in the house when they leave, as explained in the welcome email). However the summer season is propitious for spiders in a country house. Also, we had major works recently to renovate the exterior facade that may explain more dust than usual,sorry for that. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce magnifique domaine normand. La maison est très agréable, spacieuse et parfaitement adaptée pour accueillir toute la famille. Nous y avons célébré les 40 ans de mon mari dans une ambiance conviviale et joyeuse. Chacun a pleinement profité du séjour, du plus petit au plus grand. Grande maison dans un beau parc arboré

Nous avons logé à 17 dans cette grande et belle maison familiale. Le parc est magnifique et la route proche peu gênante. Nous y avons passé un excellent WE entre amis d’enfance ce qui n’a pas gêné le fait que 2 des 4 salles de bain soient privatives. La maison est à 1/2 du Havre, d’Etretat et de Fécamps, idéal pour de nombreuses visites.

Un week end à la villa Marcelle

J'ai réservé la villa Marcelle pour profiter du calme et de la nature et je n'ai pas été déçu ! Après plusieurs années de réservation pour notre we Famille nous avons souhaiter la Normandie... Que dire du logement... superbe ... situer a 20min des premières plages ... un parc magnifique... des pieces dignes du grande maison familial. Nous avons été agréablement surpiris et nous remercions vraiment nos hotes. seul petit bemol serait la cuisine un peu légère pour cuisiner pour 20 personnes... il faut s'adapter... sinon tip top ... maison d'époque rénovée et surtout qui permet de 3 mois a 70 ans de profiter de façons simple et agréable... nous reviendrons sans doute...Merci

Charmantes Haus und besonders schöner außenbereich.

Als große Familie haben wir in dem Haus eine Woche Urlaub gemacht und hatten eine schöne Zeit! Um für andere, die hier Urlaub machen möchten, die Vor- und Nachteile etwas klarer zu formulieren, haben wir eine kleine Liste mit positiven und verbesserungswürdigen Aspekten zusammengestellt. Trotz allem, was uns aufgefallen ist, hatten wir eine schöne und entspannende Zeit! + - Tolles, weitläufiges Außengelände - Ausstattung Außengelände (Tischtennisplatte, aufblasbarer kleiner Pool, Sitzmöglichkeiten für viele Menschen, Sonnenstühle, Slagline, Schaukel…) - Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche mit allem, was man braucht, um vielseitig kochen zu können (zusätzlich: 2 Kühlschränke, 2 Gefrierschränke, Waschmaschinen, Trockner) - Gemütlich eingerichtete Zimmer - Kommunikation auch auf Englisch sehr gut - - Das Haus zeigt Spuren von Staub und Tierhaaren (nicht Allergikergeeignet) - Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, es gibt allerdings keine Schränke, die für die Lagerung der eigenen Klamotten vorgesehen sind - Die Sitzmöbel im Wohnzimmer sind durchgesessen - Sauberkeit (Spinnen, Staub, Dreck in den Schubladen, Schränken, auf Oberflächen) - Bei einem Problem, das uns und die Gastgeber betraf, sind die Gastgeber uns wenig entgegengekommen und einer der Brüder ist sehr unangenehm und ausfallend geworden (mit den anderen beiden konnten wir gut sprechen)

Fantastiskt hus med stor härlig park

Huset är fantastiskt, fint bevarat och med stora ytor att umgås på. Den stora härliga parken är ett stort plus. En lugn och grön oas! Vi var ett stort sällskap men alla fick gott om plats i egna rum. Vi hade en superfin vistelse i huset och trivdes jättebra! Stort plus för närheten till fina och spännande platser att besöka. Litet minus för städningen och att tvättstugan var under renovering.

Nous avons passés un excellent WE dans ce grand pavillon ou l on s est senti tout de suite bien car maison de campagne cosy avec tout le nécessaire sur place,jeux de sociétés et jeux pour enfants, lits confortable et parc énorme pour organiser des bons jeux de ballons!Le tout situé pas loin d Etretat et Honfleur Un bon moyen de décompresser !
