Toller Urlaub in einem sehr schönen Haus

Wir waren mit der Familie (drei Teenager) zwei Wochen hier und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das ehemalige Bauernhaus ist sehr stilvoll und hochwertig modernisiert worden und top-gepflegt, ebenso der Pool, der jeden Tag gereinigt wurde. Die durchgehende 5-Sterne-Bewertung ist aus unserer Sicht voll gerechtfertigt. Die sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Vermieter wohnen im selben Haus, aber mit anderem Eingang und überwiegend zur anderen Seite hin, so dass man völlig ungestört ist. Das Haus liegt für sich alleine in einem Wäldchen zwischen Weinbergen und Sonnenblumenfeldern. Bis zum Ort mit allen wesentlichen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Bäcker, Metzger/Feinkost, kleiner Supermarkt) sind es mit dem Auto gute 5 Minuten, einen größeren Supermarkte gibt es in Gaillac (gut 15 min). Für den morgendlichen Baguette-Kauf mit dem Fahrrad, der in einer anderen Bewertung gelobt wurde, war es uns allerdings zu weit. Wir haben viel Zeit am schönen Pool verbracht, aber auch schöne Ausflüge nach Cordes, Albi, Gaillac und Toulouse unternommen. Highlights waren auch ein Nachtmarkt in Cahuzac und ein "Apéros Concerts" auf einem Weingut (Mas Pignou). Alles in allem: sehr zu empfehlen!

Great place to relax

We had very relaxing time at Chantal's place. The house is spacious, kitchen well equipped, with great little details that made us smile (nice smelling soap in the bathroom, coffee machine with capsules provided, very good wine as a welcome gift). I loved biking for the bread to the village every morning (bikes are there to take, but the road is a bit hilly) and walking around. We did barbecue several times and spend more than one lazy afternoon in the hammocks or at the pool. Even our teenage girls (16 and 18) were happy, which says a lot. The surrounding area is very interesting -- bastides, Albi, and a little longer (one hour long) trip to Toulouse. Just enough to get you occupied for a week. If we had a chance we would definitely go back there.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, Erholung garantiert

Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt! Die abgeschiedene Lage (sehr großzügiges Gelände) war herrlich! Das Haus ein Traum! Viel Platz und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet! Toller Pool - selbst Schwimmtiere und Wasserspielzeug war vorhanden! Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und diskret (wohnen direkt nebenan). Einziger Nachteil: Das Internet /Wlan.. Mit 2 Jugendlichen hätten wir uns etwas besseren Empfang gewünscht.... Aber nun denn... ;-)

Beautiful stay in a magical spot

Our stay has been wonderful! A beautiful, truly peaceful spot in a really charming part of France. Chantal and Jean Louis are perfect hosts - discreet but available if we needed anything. We spent lots of time relaxing around the farm - pool, hammocks and local walks all kept us busy - but Albi, Carcassonne and Cordes were well worth the visit. Morning coffee in the garden with the flowers and (if you’re quiet) animals also a highlight we will long remember. Highly recommended.

Pays de Cocagne (wie Gott in Frankreich). Eine sehr ruhige Umgebung mit allen denkbaren Komfort in Reichweite. Vor Ort: Pool, Grill & Natur. Bäckerei, Traiteur & Supermarkt innerhalb von 5 Min. Pilze Sammeln im Wald, Kräuter direkt aus' Garten, Freigen direkt vom Baum, guter Wein aus Gaillac & Umgebung,.. Sogar ein Pferdehof nur 10 Min entfernt für die Tochter. Wenn's ein Minuspunkt gibt: Wifi Bandbreite & Handyempfang sind wackelig. Sonnst Alles tip top.

Tout était parfait !

Maison charmante parfaitement équipée et calme absolu en pleine campagne. Draps, linge de toilette, nappes, serviettes, torchons fournis. Propriétaires accueillants et très discrets. Schönes Anwesen für Familien

Das Anwesen liegt in schöner Alleinlage umgeben von einem Wäldchen. Der Garten ist groß und sehr gepflegt. Der Swimmingpool ist durch einen Zaun gesichert - wichtig für Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Durch die Steinbauweise bleibt das Haus bei hohen Temperaturen schön kühl, bei niedrigeren Temperaturen kann einem leicht kalt werden (wir hatten beides). Die Gegend bietet viel für Ausflüge (Burgen, mittelalterliche Städtchen). Empfehlenswert!

A peaceful and comfortable place to relax

This stylish house was a perfect base for exploring lovely local towns and villages such as Albi and Cordes-sur-ciel. We also enjoyed taking the bikes or going for strolls on the quiet country lanes around the house. A real pleasure was just to relax by the pool or outside in the gardens or in the cool of the house. The owners are on hand with ideas and help if you need it but give you lots of privacy too.

Comfort, taste and great nearby attractions

Strongest memory : the sound of birdsong and smell of the flowers in the morning allied with the hospitality of the owners. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully appointed, very comfortable house and, if circumstances allow, would be happy to return next year. The house is close to Cahuzac - a small exceptionally friendly village with two bakeries (one of which sold the best bread we have tasted in France in fifteen years), a very small weekly market and restaurant. Though it is only a five minute drive, it was far more pleasant to cycle along the small country lanes on the bikes kindly provided by the owners. The bedrooms looked gorgeous and the beds and linen were truly luxurious. Equally, the bathroom was the epitome of comfort and style. The house had everything needed by a family of two adults and two teenagers and we enjoyed getting to know the goats, Mao the cat, contentious games of boules, afternoons in the hammocks, reliable wi-fi and the lovely warm pool. The accommodation sits alongside the owners’ house. However the owners did not impinge on our privacy and they could not have been more pleasant and generous both with their time and the lovely produce from their garden. When we could drag ourselves away from the house it was good to know that a great variety of attractions were less than an hour’s drive away. We particularly enjoyed kayaking in St Antonin Noble Val, the views from Cordes sur Ciel and the child/ teen nirvana that is Cap Decouverte in Le Garric (though I would imagine if visiting after mid-July it might be horribly busy).
