Chalet Rostaing - Incredible vaulted ceiling dining room and breathtaking garden, by Ski Peak

The building, managed by Ski Peak is beautifully converted from an old Alpine farm house, has been meticulously restored and now oozes character and charm. All four of its floors are well designed with maximum comfort in mind. The original stone and wood remain on display, reminding you of its roots. Because of its two lounges, large dining area in a converted milk parlour and well distributed bedrooms, it really gives you the chance to spread out. It is therefore perfect for larger groups and family ski holidays.
We have extended the lounge balcony to create a terrace, the perfect place for a drink after skiing, amongst the breathtaking landscape and scenery. There really is ample places to relax and unwind in this great location. Staying in La Villette is quite a special experience – few hamlets retain such history, traditions and charm whilst being only three minutes from a modern ski resort.
As part of your stay in Rostaing, you can ski back to within 200m of the chalet, a wonderful end to the day on your Vaujany ski holiday.

Great chalet, service and food with Ski Peak

We all had a wonderful time with Ski Peak - the accommodation was lovely ( in particular the dining room was beautiful and conducive to long, happy family dinners) , the staff were friendly and very helpful and the food was excellent. I would recommend this chalet and Ski Peak to all.

Photos are not like the reality. Smaller kitchen and the interior is dated. There is no padding in the sofa. All matrasses as hard as a board. Takes at least 10 minutes before the shower gives warm water. Nature and environment is great! Owner has answered quickly and kind our calls about the problems with the water

Very cosy and light chalet

It is a perfect chalet for family and friends with lovely wood burning stove. we sat there in the evening playing games or chatting before our delicious aperitif and excellent dinner. Our chef and chalet girl were extremely helpful and talented, we couldn't have been happier. We will definitely go back to enjoy the views, the food, the ski, the hospitality.

We have been operating in Vaujany since 1988

Why they chose this property

Vaujany itself is hidden gem of a place with a village atmosphere and world class skiing and superb facilities. They have an International Ice Hockey stadium and bowling facility! Ski Peak (the family run company, built in 1988) representatives on hand to help with anything.

The chalet is 10 minute walk away from the activity centre where children love spending their time - archery, tennis, football, basketball, boulles, mountain biking, skateboarding etc PLUS a lovely restaurant for the whole family.

What makes this property unique

Staying at Chalet Rostaing is a real treat. The vaulted ceiling dining room with huge open fire is very special. It is vey reminiscent of times gone passed when it was an milk parlour. We have tried to keep to its roots as much as possible. We love it for a skiing holiday in the winter, so close to the main lift-station, but the summer is also amazing with so much to do including the new via-ferrata by the waterfall; absolutely stunning.
