Nice quiet site.
Very disappointed about finding the caravan. Park reception didn't really know which one was the hideaway lodge site as privately owned. Van not called that. Then someone else knocking on the door after found saying they were booked into the same van! Only the fact our number unlocked key box sorted... Nothing heard back from owner, not answering either phone number. Not helpful! Comfy caravan. Well equipped. Hilly to caravan/car park. It's £30 per wk extra to be allowed to use site facilities per week, and £10 per week to use internet. But had 4g and phone worked. Lot's to do on island. Nice holiday overall.
The property was not clean and it was very difficult to get a response from the owner. We were without gas from Wednesday evening until Friday morning as it had run out. Be careful to locate the little box attached to the ramp when trying to access the property, and not the big box at the front of the property. The main shower didn't work properly and the toilet trickled continuously. The springs are broken in the bed of the third bedroom so this room is best just used for storage. The hot tub and swimming pool are at an extra cost and not part of the cost of the booking. The location however is lovely, with a private beach and lots of beautiful walks.

Hi this property is well located and accurately described. My biggest concern was that I think there is only a cursory cleaning taking place. Windows and corners and tops of bins in the bath room just make me think there is a schedule of deeper cleaning or a big spring clean needed.
The checkout instructions - I misunderstood - but the owner contacted me and I think that it was easily resolved as I had left the keys in reception as opposed to the box at the caravan.
Otherwise - I enjoyed my stay

Lack of cleanliness and adherence to COVID policies
Poor communication with owner of property regarding a number of issues including lack of cleanliness, broken thermostat in walk in shower, failure to provide mattress protectors and pillow protectors and COVID safe procedures not followed
Patio area dirty and unkempt with dead plants.
Broken leg on bedside cabinet, drawer in kitchen had broken front ,dirty crockery .
Requested partial refund and had no response
Great stay. Shower didn’t work, hose needed replacing so brought & done ourselves, owner did not reply. Also I think I left a bag there any chance the owner could see & I could get a friend to pick up please?

Lovely cosy& clean pet friendly lodge for our 1st holiday as dog owners.
We stayed at Harveys Hideaway Lodge during the 2nd week of Easter Hols, 2018.Previosly we have stayed in Newport, Rookley, Sandown or Thorness Bay so staying in Bembridge was a 1st for us Unfortunately the weather had been very poor until our arrival so everywhere was muddy and wet, this was not a problem as the lodge had a brilliant bath with a shower handset, our dog had more baths than we did, and there was a Miele hoover too. However the 2nd bathroom/ensuite also has an excellent shower which we, the humans, loved. The lodge was very clean and had all the kitchen appliances & utensils that we needed, a very large fridge/freezer and ample storage space. The beds were very clean & comfortable, with nice fresh linen, and lots of wardrobe and drawer space As it was Low Season we had no problems parking in the carpark behind the Lodge, but we did not get to enjoy sitting on the decking around the lodge as it wasn't warm enough, but it was a suitably fenced & gated area for the dog until we'd got our walking boots off and were ready to clean her. We are not really interested in the clubs or restaurants as we like to do our own thing, but the children's play area was covered over and nicely illuminated and clean. There is a shop on the site which is limited and expensive, but if you do your homework before you arrive you'll have found at least Tesco Extra in Ryde or better still, Aldi in Lake just on the outskirts of Sandown or maybe Asda in Newport, depending on how you arrive on the island. We loved our stay at Harvey's Hideaway Lodge and would love to come back.

Perfect!!
We have 2 terriers and regularly take them away with us to properties of this type. Generally, the standard of the property is a bronze category due to dogs being accepted and is older style, tired but clean. This property is in complete contrast; being modern, clean and large. Externally, you have an enclosed patio area that we and the dogs could sit in the sun and watch the world go by.
Overall an excellent property and paired with the site facilities you don't get much better for the price. To add to this, the beach is great but we were not sure if you were allowed to take dogs on it (although we did and weren't challenged).
We'll be back...

Home from home
First impressions- WOW! Love it, love it, love it.
Very spacious and clean accommodation in a beautiful location. Kitchen well equipped with utensils, pots, pans etc. Only negative was the shower in the family bathroom needs a new door seal as the floor flooded when taking a shower, we resolved this by using the shower in the en-suite so it really did not cause us a problem.
The site is a little bit hilly but the accommodation is accessible for wheelchair users. Park is well maintained, staff friendly and helpful with nothing to much trouble.
Will definitely recommend this accommodation to family and friends (and anyone reading this review) and hope to revisit ourselves one day. It is so nice to find 5* dog friendly accommodation!
