This is a great lakefront rental property with five equally sized bedrooms. The place was clean and the owner was very accomodating and helped us rent a boat. I highly recommend this VRBO and we would definitely stay there again!
We had 7 adults and 3 toddlers and there was plenty of room. The first floor and the deck had gates so kids could play safely. Plenty of seating inside and out. A dock big enough for two boats. Gravel beach area for the kids as well as a small fenced in grass area with a sand box.
We rented this house for the family of the bride to stay. My daughter was getting married at the local winery. This house was exactly what we needed. Plenty of space for all of us to relax. Multiple decks with ample outdoor seating options to enjoy the beautiful lake. I would love to rent this property again when I can actually enjoy it to its fullest and not be on the go!
Overall, we really enjoyed this property. Lots of room for our extended family. Pictures in the listing are outdated, with furniture switched out, deck a different color, a fence around the hot tub that was not in any pictures. Hot tub cover was in pretty bad shape, although the hot tub was great once we got it cleaned out and running. Grill was not cleaned AT ALL, which caused a grease fire the first time we tried to use it and there was no fire exiting be found! Luckily we got it under control. I would suggest definitely requesting a fire extinguisher from the host (or an explanation of where one is located).
We had a family group with some comings and goings made possible by closeness to home and necessitated by work schedules. The cottage is set up well to accommodate different schedules. We rented a boat and had a wonderful week!
This property has 5 generous sized bedrooms. We were supposed to be a party of 9, but only 6 stayed, as a few remained on campus ( we were there for graduation weekend at SUNY Geneseo).
As I said, plenty of room. We were busy so we didn’t really have time for lake activities, but there is a marina very close by if you were looking to rent a boat. There’s a jacuzzi too, but we didn’t make use of it. Nothing super fancy, but lots of comfy furniture, inside and outdoors. I really enjoyed having my coffee on the deck every morning right over the lake.
Check in was easy. The hosts were easy to contact. It was a seamless process. I’d stay here again.
Plenty of room inside and outside for a family to stay, play and make memories. I love the large table for meals and game playing. The kids loved playing in the water and we all slept well with plenty of room to stretch out.
House was very clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of seating, great outdoor spaces, loved the hot tub. Boat rental was excellent and very easy. Fridge leaked while we were there, but owner was very quick to respond. Our family had a great time!!
The house is well appointed, but living furniture is a bit worn. The beds are very comfortable. Beautiful views of the lake and beach and we enjoyed the new fire pit and hot tub (once we cleaned it out). We liked cooking in the kitchen, but several of the things in the cabinets and drawers were dirty and the dishwasher, ice maker, and filtered water did not work. Still a very nice time at a lovely lake house.
Our vacation was wonderful. The house is awesome and quite large. More than enough room for my family of 11. And we were able to rent kayaks for the week and a pontoon boat for a few days right from the home owner. Very convenient and the price was very reasonable. Overall a great place on the lake. We loved it.
We were very impressed with the property, its location on the lake and the people we dealt with from our contact person to the person we rented a pontoon boat from. House was clean as well as the outside deck and dock area.
Very cool themed decor especially in the bedrooms. Beautiful decks and fire pit area. The cottage needs some limited attention but is one of the best lake rentals we’ve ever stayed at.

Highly recommended
Lovely house (especially enjoyed the openness of the main floor; we were 9 people and never felt crowded); very clean; great location; super hosts (we really appreciated the welcoming gift and the Xmas decorations). Couldn't have been a nicer stay.

Beautiful lakefront home
The photos on this website do not do the house justice. The home was much more than I expected. It was clean, beautifully updated, light and bright atmosphere, very roomy for a large family, and you couldn't get any closer to the lake! The décor was whimsical, adding charm to the home. The double-level deck was well maintained, giving you plenty of seating for entertaining or just relaxing. The views of the lake from the main living area were magnificent! The dock gave my grandchildren lots of fun as they jumped off into the lake's crystal clear water. We were very pleased with the home overall and had a great time!

About the host
Hosted by Jared
I purchased this property in 2012 and completely went through and renovated it for my very large and young family to enjoy. I had fun giving each room a theme and made it a place that children and adults could enjoy.
Why they chose this property
We love this location for its peaceful setting on the east side of Conesus Lake, known for some of the best sunset views on the lake. The neighborhood offers a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere while still being close to everything you need for a great stay.
It’s perfect for families, with easy lake access, calm waters, and a safe, welcoming feel. You can spend the day on the water, then enjoy evenings watching the sunset from the deck or around the fire pit.
You’re also just a short drive from Vitale Park, the shops and restaurants in Geneseo and Lakeville, and just 23 minutes from Letchworth State Park, often called the “Grand Canyon of the East,” for hiking, waterfalls, and scenic views.
What makes this property unique
What truly sets this property apart is the combination of features that are hard to find together on Conesus Lake. Located on the east side of the lake, guests enjoy beautiful sunset views each evening—something many lakefront homes don’t offer.
The shoreline features true shallow water entry that gradually deepens past the dock, making it especially ideal for families with children and for relaxed swimming right from the property.
The home is also designed with groups in mind, comfortably sleeping up to 12 guests with a flexible layout that works well for multi-family stays. Three levels of deck space, a level yard to the water, and multiple gathering areas make it easy for everyone to spread out while still enjoying time together.
Guests can enjoy complimentary kayaks included with their stay, and a pontoon boat is available to rent for those who want to explore more of the lake. The addition of a hot tub overlooking the water makes the property just as enjoyable beyond the summer months.
Altogether, it’s a rare combination of location, layout, and amenities that creates an easy, memorable lake experience for families and groups.
