This house OFFERS A QUITE, PEACEFUL ATMOSPHERE within feet from the waters edge. Mill Lake is a private, 88 acre all sports lake offering great fishing, boating and swimming. During the SUMMER, enjoy a leisurely ride around the lake in the provided paddle boats, kayaks or row boat or bring your own boat and take advantage of the boat ramp on the adjacent property. During the WINTER months, enjoy ice fishing and other winter sports, then warm up inside by the electric fireplace. Spend the day on the water or take a 15 minute drive into Battle Creek or Hastings for endless activities such as golfing, shopping, gambling and museums. Comes fully furnished including linens, towels, cookware and WiFi

The Mill Lake Cottage was very clean and very well appointed. The owners have attended to every detail. The cottage is filled with natural light and has excellent views of the water. We had a great get-away and will be back!

Great Stay

Had a great time relaxing at the cottage. Loved that we had so many amenities like kayaks, pedal boats, firepit, wood rack and fishing poles. Can't say a bad thing about our time there. Very quiet and very well taken care of.

Had a wonderful stay! Everything was as described and well stocked, and the owners were extremely responsive. Made for a wonderful, relaxing weekend with our son and our dog.One tip: There’s no dishwasher, so we brought paper plates to make cleanup a little easier.

The cottage on Mill Lake was perfect - very clean, well stocked, nicely updated, beautiful views from inside and out, nice amenities with paddle boats and kayaks. A very quiet and peaceful lake. We were lucky enough to see a hot air balloon early one morning. We visited Gilmore Car Museum, about ten minutes away, which was really neat. The hosts are friendly and left very thoughtful touches with snacks and bottled water.

Precious little house with big amenities!

The house and property are wonderfully laid out for a relaxing retreat. So many games/activities at your fingertips that two 62 year old high school friends got out on the lake in the paddle boat! This house is clean, comfortable and welcoming. We had a blast!

25 years ago we bought our cottage on Mill Lake to have a quiet place to go and get away from the busy every day routines. We also wanted our children to have a place to take their friends and enjoy the great outdoors. Our time was split between relaxing and having fun. Our summer weekends were consumed with tubing, fishing, swimming, attending the Hot Air Balloon Festivals, Worlds Largest Breakfast Table along with lots of local attractions. Winter weekends were spent ice fishing, ice skating, sledding and indoor puzzles and games. Thru the years, our family has built many memories on this lake and in town at festivals. In 2012 we purchased and rebuilt the house next to ours. Now our friends and family can also enjoy the area but yet have a private place to stay.

Why they chose this property

Great location just off the main road with only a 15 minute drive into Battle Creek or Hastings for unlimited activities, shopping and festivals. It is also centrally located between Detroit and Chicago. The lake itself is large enough to have fun on but yet small enough to not be busy or overcrowded.

What makes this property unique

Being a small, private lake offers a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Located on the east side of the lake offers longer evenings and views of the sunset. The dead end road keeps the traffic to a minimal. All sports lake offers endless water activities.
