Les Gites de la Bodiniere - Rural 3 gite complex

La Bodiniere is a charming 2 bedroom self catering 3 star gite with many character features and modern facilities situated 2kms outside the local town of Moncoutant. It has the option of sleeping up to 5 people with a large master bedroom with the option for either a cot or z-bed and a twin room. A large open plan kitchen/dining area includes dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer and microwave. Although not detached the property benefits from a private garden with patio area and children's play area. Wi-fi available please note coverage may not extend to all the property.

A number of shops, restaurants and markets can be found in Moncoutant as well as the surrounding towns. Coulon, La Rochelle, the Atlantic coast, Futuroscope and Puy du Fou, all within a short drive. Walking, fishing, golf, horse riding and cycling all available within 5 minutes drive.

La Bodiniere has oil fired central heating(October - March) and is therefore warm and cosy all year round. It it ideal for short stays, weekend breaks (out of season) or longer breaks for house hunting etc. Please contact us for more details.

Linen provided and beds made prior to arrival. Towels can be provided for a small charge.

We have a second gite making it ideal for friends and family wanting to holiday together but still have their own private space. Discounts available, please contact us for details.

La Bodiniere

La Bodiniere is a fabulous and spotlessly clean cottage. It looks small from the outside but this is deceiving as it is really large and roomy. The kitchen was well equipped and it had a lovely private garden with great equipment for children. The addition of a second toilet was a bonus. The owners, Jo and Ian and their family were really friendly and helpful. They left a great arrival gift for us which made us feel really welcome. The location was fabulous, quiet and peaceful yet near to the town and a supermarket. We had a fantastic week in what was the best cottage that we have ever stayed in. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Le gîte est agréable et bien situé. Cependant, à notre arrivée, un serpent se trouvait dans le salon. Cela peut être compréhensible car le gite se situe à la campagne. Mais nous avons été déçus par l'absence de réaction de nos hôtes. Nous avons réglé seuls le problème. Un chauffage d'appoint serait le bienvenu dans la salle de bains.

We stayed 2 weeks in September A nice welcome pack on arrival a good starter especially if you arrive late, really clean throughout if you like peace & quiet this is the place for you not far to visit attractions & places of interest shops close by a 5 minutes drive away only negative we had was the wifi we was warned you can only receive it in some rooms but we could only receive it in the dining area & even then it was very weak it was the same on all 3 devices we had

The gite was excellent and conveniently situated for visiting the surrounding area. Unfortunately the weather was not as good as we had hoped and it was cool in the evenings. However, will almost certainly visit again.

agréable maison de campagne tout confort

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine à la campagne, au calme avec vaches, poule et cheval à proximité. Donc idéal pour une semaine de repos; La petite ville de Moncoutant est à 5min avec boulangeries, autres commerces et un supermarché à coté. Dans la location, les enfants se sont régalés de la piscine privative, du trampoline et des jeux mis à disposition. La maison est bien équipée, et correspond complétement au photos montrées. Les propriétaires sont discrets mais très gentils et accueillants. Bref on s'y est bien senti et nous conseillons cette escale en Vendée.

EXCELLENT GITE AND HOSTS

FROM THE OUTSIDE THE GITE LOOKS QUITE SMALL, BUT IT IS LIKE THE TARDIS ON DOCTOR WHO AS IT IS EXTREMELY SPACIOUS INSIDE. .IT IS WELL MAINTAINED AND VERY CLEAN. THE OWNERS ARE ON HAND TO ANSWER QUERIES AND WERE VERY FRIENDLY. MY HUSBAND AND I WANTED A RELAXING HOLIDAY, WHICH WE HAD, BUT BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION THERE ARE PLENTY OF SHOPS, RESTAURANTS AND ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN NEARBY WHICH MAKES THIS GITE SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE. AS YOU CAN PROBABLY GUESS, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GITE.
