A FEW MINUTES FROM THE VALLEY OF THE TEMPLES, independent apartment in the heart of the historical center of Agrigento.
The house is an easy walk from the train station and bus station.
You DO NOT NEED CAR .... the property's central location allows easy access on foot all the most beautiful places in the city.

At about 50 meters from Via Atenea, the main street where there are shops, restaurants, pizzerias, wine bars, tobacco shops, pharmacies, etc.
A few meters from the most beautiful churches (the Cathedral, the church Santa Maria dei Greci, Monastery of the Holy Spirit, etc.).
Just 4 kilometers from the Valley of the Temples (only 2 stops by bus or on foot to reach) and the Archaeological Museum.
A 6 km from the sea of ​​San Leone (Agrigento seaside village).
A few minutes from the beach Scala dei Turchi.

The apartment has all the necessary comforts for a comfortable and pleasant stay: air conditioning, LCD TV, satellite, wi-fi internet, dishes, pots, glasses, cutlery, microwave, electric coffee maker, hairdryer, washing machine, iron and ironing board ironing board, toaster, towels, sheets. You will find everything you need to make your own breakfast (milk, coffee, tea, biscuits, butter, jams). Good location!

Good location, central to getting around Agrigento . Restaurants , shopping and groceries all nearby. Apartment was clean, beds comfortable. You should be comfortable going up and down steps to reach apartment, I guess pretty typical of Agrigento, overall.

Loved our stay at the “Ladder!” The location was ideal. Within a short walking distance to one of the main streets in Palermo in a lively area. However, the apartment was very quiet. I appreciated the attention to detail for travelers with included lots of drawers, hangers, and shelving to organize your clothes and toiletries. Alessandra was prompt with communications and was there to meet us when we arrived to show us how everything worked- like the washing machine. The apartment very clean, tastefully decorated, and well designed for travelers. A special touch included a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge along with two large bottles of water, which was very thoughtful. We loved our stay and would love to return. Highly recommend!

Perfect place to explore Agrigento

We stayed for a couple of days at La Scaletta on a tour of Sicily and it was the perfect base for us to explore the city and head out sightseeing. Jessica was the perfect host too, greeting us in an easy to find spot and then finding a place for us to park, providing us with some essential items and a wonderful ricotta and almond cake which was delicious. The apartment itself was well equipped and comfortable and with very nice decor. Although we only stayed two nights, it's a great size and could accommodate a family and you could stay for longer. It's in a quiet street, but literally a minute's walk to Via Atenea (the main street) where we enjoyed a passeggiatta and then ate at a couple of good restaurants, one of which was less than 2 minutes walk from the apartment and recommended by Jessica. We were also a short walk from the train station from where you can catch a bus to the Valley of the Temples. All in all a great couple of days, in a lovely apartment, but enhanced by Jessica's advice and hospitality.

Host did her best to assist

We were notified shortly before our stay that there had been a plumbing leak and we would not be able to stay at this property. The host was very kind and tried to help by finding us another place to stay. Unfortunately, the other accommodation was not nice at all. It was in a less desirable area, and was just one big room with a tiny bathroom and four beds. It was like a hostel. The new host also charged us an additional fee of more than $40 euro because there were 3 of us instead of two. I let Jessica know and she asked the new host to move us but he did not. We just gave up and stayed there. It was really disappointing. I did not attempt to contact Vrbo for a resolution since we were moving from one town to another every few days. I give Jessica credit for trying to help us as best she could and it was not her fault that the other accommodation was bad.

We loved staying at this apartment. It is located in the oldest part of Agrigento so be prepared for plenty of stairs. The apartment had everything you could want for a long or short stay. There were only two of us but there were two bedrooms and two baths and so could accommodate four people easily. The hostess, Jessica, was very attentive and left us a lovely treat in the refrigerator as a welcome! You could not choose a nicer place to stay in Agrigento.

Great stay at “ladder” in Agrigento

We loved this place. It’s tucked away in a quiet area but still close to shops, restaurants and attractions. It’s a bit tricky to find but a cab can get you close and google maps will get you the rest of the way. The property is located in an alley which is comprised of a series of steps so be ready for a bit of a climb. Gessica was absolutely charming and we were able to overcome the language barrier with our imperfect Italian and the help of a translation app. We definitely recommend this property, especially for those who want to see the real Sicily.

Bittersweet stay

The apartment was more than perfect. We were welcomed with a wonderful almond cake, cannoli, and plenty of breakfast options. It's close to pretty much everything, and in pristine condition. Our host Gessica was wonderful. She was so attentive to anything we needed, and the fastest texter I've ever seen! We actually arrived a few hours later than anticipated, and we didn't understand where to meet her. But she found us! Our stay was bittersweet because I'd been so looking forward to a 3 month stay, but we had to leave after one week, on March 13th, due to Covid shutting down the entire country. I'm still sad about😢, and it's now July as I write this. Thank you, Gessica, for everything. We are hopeful for our return, at some point when this awfulness is over, and to see you once again!

Great location. Cute place. Clean and spacious. Jessica was most gracious and kind and made our stay perfect. I’ve stayed at many vrbo places but she was by far the nicest. Close to everything. You will not be disappointed.

L'appartement est grand et très bien placé, dans le centre historique, mais très calme. Jessica nous a très bien accueilli. Elle avait préparé un gâteau à l'orange - délicieux ! On peut laisser la voiture en bordure du quartier car les petites rues ne se prêtent pas à ce mode de déplacement. Une plongée dans une vieille ville sicilienne

Accueil HYPER chaleureux de Jessica : gâteau maison, briochettes, beurre, cookies …. J’en passe et des meilleures ;) L’appartement est situé très près de la rue principale dans le cœur historique d’agrigente mais dans une rue calme et typiquement sicilienne (il ne faut pas avoir une trop grande voiture pour s’y rendre, les rues sont vraiment très étroites …. Sinon : pas de souci Jessica se propose pour faire « le taxi ») Ne pensez pas arriver dans un appartement impersonnel : on a vraiment l’impression d’arriver « chez quelqu’un » il faut donc un peu de temps pour se l’approprier. La literie et la clim’ sont de très bonne qualité. Nous recommandons cette location pour qui veut découvrir la ville.

Top-Adresse im Zentrum von Agrigento

Wir reisten insgesamt 6 Wochen lang durch Sizilien und hatten viele verschiedene Unterkünfte. Dieses Appartment ist eindeutig das beste von allen! Es ist sauber, gut ausgestattet, vor allem aber wirklich geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage - mitten in der Altstadt - ist sehr günstig, die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar., die Tempel mit Bus oder Auto gut zu besuchen.Man kann die Wohnung mit dem Auto äerreichen, sofern einen die sehr engen Gassen nicht abschrecken. Ansonsten geht man die letzten 200 Meter besser zu Fuß. Jessica und Bruno waren sehr freundliche und bemühte Gastgeber. Zum Empfang gab es selbstgebackenen Kuchen und Wein.Im Unterschied zu anderen Gastgebern konnten wir uns mit ihnen ganz gut auf Englisch verständigen.

Wonderful place to get the real feel of Sicily

Jessica and Bruno were very attentive to all our needs. Very helpful in every way. Apartment was very nice and comfortable. Every thing you need is close by, but not for the elderly. Steep hills and lots of steps to get around the city. Close drive to Valley of Temples.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits à Agrigente dans la maison de Jessica. Nous avons garé notre voiture et elle nous a conduit avec sa voiture dans les rues étroites du centre historique. Elle nous a reservé un super accueil: gâteau, vin sicilien, boissons pour les enfants, petit dej... La maison est impeccable, propre et décorée avec soin! Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre passage à Agrigente!

L'appartamento è situato nel centro storico di Agrigento in un quartiere tranquillo. La casa d'estate è piacevolmente fresca. Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno molto felice: l'appartamento è confortevole, pulitissimo, arredato con arte e cura del dettaglio funzionale. Jessica ( la fata dell'accoglienza ) è una persona straordinaria: molto premurosa, presente in caso di necessità; i suoi dolci vegan/biologici sono squisiti. Grazie ai suoi consigli, abbiamo percorso la città e il territorio di Agrigento in modo originale e approfondito. Stephanie e Giulio.
