CALA GONONE A DREAM HOLIDAY TWO STEPS FROM THE SEA IN THE PARADISE OF SARDINIA

Beautiful house located 2 minutes walking from the beach in a very quiet area of Cala Gonone with all the facilities: super market and restaurant are close, as well as the "Promenade".
The house is very confortable with new furnitures in every room: big living room with kitchen, from which you can access to the 60sq metres terrace with a chill out area to admire a wonderful Sardinian landscape. In the terrace barbecue, amaca, deck chairs and shower are available. The kitchen is weel furnished (TV,oven and microwaves are available); there is also one bedroom with queen bed, one doubleroom (eventually queen) and a bathroom with washing machine. Air conditioning is available.
In case of need also a private parking is available in front of the house.

Cala Gonone is a small village located between sea and mountains in an environment where Nature is the queen. Therefore it is obviously well-known for both beautiful beaches and amazing mountains (loved by free climbers even if not so popular yet).
Open air sports are possible in Cala Gonone, such as free climbing, cayaking, fishing and "getting some tan" of course :)
Its coast is one of the most famous of Sardinia expecially thanks to its mixt of colours, strongly recommended in every guide!

This was an excellent property. It was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Vito and Lina welcomed us on arrival, and came when we checked out. A Vacation Spot Gem!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in vito and Lina’s home for a week. We cannot say enough good things about this flat. From the gorgeous view, spacious terrace, clean and tastefully decorated interior, everything was wonderful. There was a bonus of an outdoor hot water shower while you gazed at the splendid turquoise water, too!! Communication with Lina and Vito was so easy, in fact they are the kind of folks you meet and feel like you have known them forever. The flat is located above the postoffice and across the street from a grocery store and a quick easy walk to the sea and many great restaurants. There is plenty of privacy, yet close to everything! We cannot say enough good things about this beautiful flat. We will be back!

Fin dal primo momento hanno portato un’energia speciale : persone ordinate , rispettose, molto presenti, con le quali è stato interessante e piacevole comunicare. Persone capaci di cogliere e apprezzare l’anima del luogo. Hanno lasciato la casa in condizioni impeccabili, ma soprattutto hanno lasciato un segno umano e ispirante. Le loro parole, i loro sguardi curiosi e la loro capacità di trovare bellezza nei dettagli mi hanno fatto vedere la mia casa con occhi diversi. Spero di averli di nuovo come ospiti in futuro . Persone così arricchiscono l’esperienza di ospitare. Li consiglio caldamente a qualsi host.

Wonderful Break in Cala Gonone

We had a five day break in this property in late September. The location could not be better and the property was every bit as described and better than we expected. Lovely apartment. Ideal location for enjoying the lovely town of Cala Galone and the east coast.

Great location to walk into the town and enjoy numerous bars and restaurants. Easy walk to the beach (take your own accessories) and the great boat trips. Supermarket just over the road for great convenience. Hiring a car is essential. The apartment is fine for two to four people. Be aware that it is facing a busy car park and access road so it can be quite noisy at times.

The hosts, Vito and Lina, were extremely pleasant. They walked us through the house and suggested some great restaurants and beaches around the area. They told us where to go for the market. Just great

First of all, Vito and his wife are great hosts. They provide you with all the information about your vacation. The apartment is spacious and everything you need is there. A supermarket is 100 m away and the city beach is approx. 400 m away. There is a parking space in front of the house. The highlight is the huge terrace with a brick barbecue, hammock and outdoor shower. From the terrace you have a wonderful view of the sea. We would go there again at any time and rent the apartment. Loved it!!

Lovely place - very well equipped. Vito exceptionally responsive to requests. Wishing we had researched enough that some he beautiful dream beaches are reachable mostly by boat or hiking. But the boat ride that we took along the coast and to some of the special places was very very nice. And the beaches in Cala Gonone were accessible by foot or car and were inviting and not at all crowded. Loved having that small supermarket within a couple of minutes walk that was amazingly well equipped with really high quality produce and also gluten free goods and more. And the spacious terrace with the plants and gorgeous view was a real treat in all kinds of weathers.... we had the great fortune to have 2 days of continuous rains which left the lands lush and green. A great vacation!!

Lovely Homely Accommodation

When we arrived Vito was waiting for us at the Post Office which was situated underneath the accommodation. Vito's a very kind natured person who gave us lots of information about the area and the apartment. The apartment had an exceptionally large balcony which overlooked the sea and town to the right, a carpark in front and the mountains to the left. We enjoyed watching the world go by eating our breakfasts on the balcony. Inside was 1 largish room which had the kitchen, Dining table and sofas in and then behind this room was the 2 bedrooms and bathroom with washing machine in and a door onto the pathway for the neighbours private access. The inside accommodation was quite dark but it had a homely feel and it is in a quiet area of Cala Gonone. There is a supermarket next to the carpark opposite which we used a lot. Down a slight hill towards the sea was the Marina (5mins walk) where you can hire a boat to visit the nearby beaches which are not accessible by car and they all seemed to give the same price EUR250 plus fuel (August) well worth it. Further on was the town (slight hilly in areas) with lots of restaurants and beaches. The beaches were pleasant (shingle & seaweedy) but not the best nearby by far. We drove to the nearby beach of Cala Cartoe (20 mins) which was sandy and beautiful but the drive was very precarious on steep small mountain roads. Cala Fuili is the nearest cove (10mins drive) but it is very busy so don't try and park as near as possible and contemplate a walk (5-10 mins) to the pass and then you will have to walk another 20mins down a steep mountain pass. Once there the beach is pebbly best to bring beach/water shoes, the water however was stunning as clear as glass well worth it trip. We are not to keen on sand so this beach was perfect except for the walk so we opted to drive here but use the very small rocky beach situated slightly before with paths down to it, I think locals use it (it was also stunning and clear). One of the days was raining so we decided to go via Olbia (shopping) then to Porto Rotonda (dinner) this took about 2 hours but Porto Rotonda was very nice and worth a trip. We also visited another nice sandy beach Cala Liberotto which was about 1 hour away, sadly all beaches are heaving with holidaymakers in August. We had a very relaxing holiday in Cala Gonone and you could easily stay here without the need of a car however we enjoy seeing other parts of Sardinia which you definitely need a car.

Très belle découverte.

L'appartement est très bien situé (plage et commerces accessibles à pied), très bien équipé, grande terrasse avec vue sur mer et partiellement ombragée (ce qui est un plus avec le soleil sarde). Les activités touristiques sont nombreuses sur Cala Gonone. Merci à Vito et Lina qui sont des hôtes très sympathiques et arrangeants. Une adresse à fortement conseiller en Sardaigne. Nous reviendrons très certainement.

Nous avons très bien été accueillis par Lina et Vito dans leur appartement. Il est parfaitement situé et bien équipé. La climatisation, la terrasse, le barbecue, et la place de parking sont des gros plus. Nous avons apprécié les conseils pour les activités.

Hübsche Terrasse - einfache Wohnung

Wir fühlten uns wie bei Grossmutter zuhause: die Einrichtung veraltet und zuviel Krimskrams. Blechernes Besteck, kaum 2 gleiche Gläser und Tassen. Entspricht nicht mehr dem heutigen Standard. Die Schlafzimmer eher dunkel und OHNE Mückenschutz. Der Preis ist für das Gebotene zu hoch. Schön war die grosse Terrasse mit entferntem Meerblick, die zentrale Lage und die freundliche Kommunikation mit Vito.

Prendo atto che i gusti della Signora Maria Louise e di suo marito in fatto di arredamento non sono in linea con l' idea di arredamento che abbiamo inteso dare alla nostra casa che peraltro ha per fortuna riscosso finora grande apprezzamento da parte di tutta la nostra clientela. Riguardo alle attrezzature di cucina, queste sono state ritenute sempre più che sufficienti persino da famigle di 4 persone( mentre i nostri ultimi ospiti erano 2). In quanto alla luminosità nelle due camere da letto semplicemente andavano aperte le persiane.... Riguardo alle zanzariere provvederò quanto prima a farle installare ma preciso che periodicamente viene effettuata una medicazione antizanzare intorno a tutta la casa. Mi dispiace che i miei ultimi due ospiti non abbiano trovato il comfort desiderato ma invito tutti quelli futuri a prendere visione delle altre numerosissime recensioni.
