Beach Me Up Scotty! is a cozy and affordable 2 bedroom, 2 & 1/2 bath, 1200 sq ft home. Located on oceanside and within a short walking distance to the ocean. There is a large sidewalk across from the house for bikes or walking that will take you to many local shops and restaurants.

This comfortable cottage has 2 bedrooms, master bedroom has a queen bed with joining full bath. Second bedroom has a full bed with twin trundle. Another full bathroom in the hallway. The living room has large open ceilings with large front windows for great views. A extra family room /game room with 1/2 bath and a pull out sleep sofa is located on the lower level. The open kitchen has a bar that seats 2 and dinning table that seats 6. There is a outside shower and a fish cleaning station under the house as well as a charcoal grill in the yard.

-WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRAVEL INSURANCE so that you are protected from any unexpected circumstances that may keep you from being able to keep your reservation. Insurance is offered when booking or you can look online for the best travel insurance for you. While we understand that emergencies happen, the reason for cancellation does not change our cancellation or refund policy. Travel insurance will help reimburse you for your costs if you are not able to keep your reservation and your cancellation does not qualify for a refund under our cancellation policy. Travel insurance is easy to purchase and can save you a lot of frustration and money in the event that you cannot keep your reservation. Please be aware that Hatteras Island is in an area that has frequent tropical activity (hurricanes, tropical storms, etc.) and that Dare County does not always issue an evacuation order for these events. If you do not want to keep your reservation if a storm event is approaching we cannot refund your payment without an official evacuation order. Travel insurance will help you cover costs that we cannot refund. We cannot stress how important it is to purchase travel insurance. Please be sure to look online to find the best policy for you.

Amazing Experience!

The beach house was amazing, clean, and close to a wonderful ice cream place. You could easily walk to the beach or drive to a public access beach. We loved the location in Salvo. For our family of 4, this house was everything we needed and allowed us to relax and love vacation.

Beautiful beach paradise.

Great location walking distance to a private beach in a quiet neighborhood. Central to all areas of the OBX experiences. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back sometime.

Excellent property in a fantastic area.

Beach me Up Scotty was just as advertised. The property was clean and well stocked with games ,dishware and lots of Movies. The area itself was peaceful but also offers plenty of activities to keep a family entertained. Fishing and beach fun is less than five minutes away.

Beautiful beach house

Beautiful beach house! Great location around the center of OBX halfway between Nags Head and Cape Hatteras. Host is very friendly, easy to get ahold of, and house is very clean with all the amenities needed for a great vacation! My family thoroughly enjoyed staying here and loved the game room! Would definitely recommend and love to come back.

Steep steps for older people.

Great place. Very clean, nicely decorated and kitchen had everything. Was unable to get hand mixer to work. Left note on it and put mixer on counter. Would recommend this place and would return for certain. I would recommend bringing a drying rack for towels. I forgot from our first stay here that there are too few places to dry towels or hang clothes. Small, I hope, helpful suggestion. If older people like us, steps are steep and handrail is too wide to really grab for support. I really hate to be negative but something to consider if older.

Exactly as described!

Great beach house

We loved the house and it’s location. The beach house was super comfortable and we loved the outdoor shower and faucets to rinse ourselves and our stuff off. The location was quiet and just a short walk to the ocean. Perfect!

Awesome Stay!

Wonderful! Home was so nice and roomy for my family of four! It was easy to find along Route 12 and perfect location to our favorite beach! Everyone enjoyed the Game Room, the selection of movies and video games! My kids also enjoyed having a tv in their room! (LOL) I can’t recommend this home enough! It was a great final stop on our summer! The check in was super smooth and the owner was easy to communicate with. Kitchen was stocked with essentials to cook. Bathroom was stocked with soft towels. There was even beach items to use!

Outstanding monthly stay

Spent an entire month at property on a working vacation and had a great stay. It was definitely off peak for the Outer Banks so many stores/restaurants were closed, but the trade off was a very peaceful and quiet environment. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to take care of meals

Relaxing Spring Break at Outer Banks

We visited the Outer Banks during Easter break week in April 2023 and stayed at "Beach Me Up Scotty". This was probably the cleanest and most well maintained beach houses we've stayed in and that was much appreciated. It was perfect for us and convenient to everything that we had planned to do at the Outer Banks. If we visit the Outer Banks again in the future, we will definitely keep this on our list.

Why they chose this property

I have vacationed in the outer banks for years within Kitty Hawk & Nags Head area. Several years ago I decided to go further south with friends to Hatteras Island to spend a week. What a difference, the beaches were less crowed, the area was safer for the kids to ride bikes, fishing is great and less commercialized area. Years later I purchased this lot in Salvo. In early 2014, began construction.
