Lovely stay

We have enjoyed the comfortable, cool house, the beautiful garden with lots of shadow, the large porch and the swimming pool. Everything was perfect!

A lovely, restful holiday in a good location

We spent 2 weeks at this property and enjoyed exploring the beautiful area and countryside. Highlights were visits to the pretty village of Aubeterre Sur Dronne, the city of Bordeaux and wine tasting near Saint Emilion. On hot days we visited the river and lake beaches within 20-35 minutes of the property. The local Lidl and Intermarche are very handy for food. Being able to walk from the property to the little village of Saint- Avit and nearby fields and woods was very pleasant. The property has a large garden, nice pool and is well equipped for smaller and larger groups. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We hope to return at some point.

Fantastic place to stay

The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. We really enjoyed using the swimming pool and our youngest liked the swing in the tree! We had lots of BBQs. Only small niggle was that we were unable to find the toaster? Also not enough mugs, we bought some cheap ones and left them behind! All in all a great holuday and would consider a return visit.

Sanctuary

We visited Eric and Annick's property as a family of 5 (children aged 8, 11 and 13). It was brilliant. The house was clean and spacious, both indoors and out. We all played continual games of table tennis, jumping in the pool and were introduced to the game of Molky - great fun. It is in a great spot if you like secluded area but can walk easily to Sain Avit, drive 2 mins down the road to Chalais (brilliant market on Mondays and a Lidl supermarket) as well as various kayaking, tree top walks and a brilliant river beach at Aubeterre that we visited almost every day. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this beautiful house. The property has been renovated to a high standard and we had all the amenities we needed. The pool was perfect to cool off from the incredibly hot weather and the interior of the house remained at a cool temperature. We loved the dining area outside and the shady spot under the walnut tree. Annick and Eric were excellent hosts and very communicative.

Séjour reposant

Nous sommes ravis de notre semaine à St Avit et aurions volontiers prolongé le séjour. L'accueil par Annick et Eric a été très sympathique et la maison correspondait tout à fait à nos attentes. Du calme, de l'espace et la piscine pour se rafraichir! Une vraie semaine de détente pour déconnecter. Nous louons depuis plusieurs années des maisons pour passer une semaine entre amis.la location correspond entièrement à nos attentes. Maison conforme à la description. Acceuil chaleureux. Une belle découverte de la maison au milieu des champs. Idéal pour se reposer et profiter du paysage tout en jouant aux jeux de société, en profitant de la piscine et en visitant les alentours. Accueil très sympathique des propriétaires.

Agréable séjour en Charente

Avec ma femme et nos 2 garçons, nous avons passé 3 semaines dans cette grande maison au milieu des champs de maïs et de tournesol. Le jardin est très grand pour faire du sport, les nuits sont calmes. Nous avons pu entre autres profiter du circuit de Karting de Saintonge, du Canoë de Parcoul, de l’église souterraine d’Aubeterre sur Dronne ainsi que des excellentes glaces du glacier d’en face. Les propriétaires sont très arrangeants et à l’écoute. Nous sommes déjà nostalgiques de ce séjour !

Idéal en famille

Maison très appréciée par toute la famille! L'endroit est idéal pour passer des vacances au vert aussi bien pour les grands que pour les petits (calme grandeur du jardin piscine,...) ! Je recommande vivement cette location!

Relax vakantie

Heel rustige omgeving, ideaal om tot rust te komen. Het huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en blijft koel in de zomer. Het ontbreken van WiFi zorgt voor een digital detox wat bij tieners in minder goede aarde valt maar wel eens nodig is. Leuke stadjes en dorpjes in de buurt. Mogelijkheid tot kayakken vlakbij.
