The Esplanade Penthouse is a sophisticated and stylish two-bedroom residence on the top floor of an historic 1850’s building. While the historic French Quarter charm of exposed brick and hardwood floors has been preserved, the space has been updated with modern amenities such as a 42” Flat Screen TV, Cable, and free Wi-Fi.

Furnished in the style of an 1880’s French pied-à-terre, the interior of the penthouse offers a spacious living room and dining area. The two bedrooms, generous in size, transition the style of the French boudoir and the present, with queen-sized beds fitted with luxury bedding and ample closet space. The modern kitchen boasts granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with a refrigerator and freezer, four-burner stove, microwave, and coffee maker.

This is a nice stay in the French quarter on the quieter end. We thoroughly enjoyed the place. It is as described and comfotable. It is within close proximity to everything in the area.

Perfect location. Far enough away from the Bourbon St craziness so it’s quiet at night but close enough to walk everywhere including the Super Dome.

Host was very informative and available. Great location too! Be careful parking on the streets, the police are really watching and writing tickets. After getting a 75 ticket, i downloaded and used SpotHero. Found a lot just down the road for around 20 a day.

Perfect stay

We were looking for a location walking distance to all the activities and would allow for a good night sleep. This was the perfection spot! The famous Frenchmen Street is very close as well. Would stay again.

Great for a Jazz Fest Weekend

Great space to set up shop for a long weekend. Close to Frenchman Street. Plenty of space. Just know that it’s at the top of 3 flights of stairs so if you’re packing a heavy suitcase, it’s a slow climb!

Long weekend friend trip

Perfect location for quick, easy access to multiple neighborhoods. Apartment had everything we needed for the little amount of time we spent in it. Host was communicative and available if needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Great loft in great location

Incredible location at the end of Bourbon Street, separated from the noise but still within easy walking distance. Two large bedrooms with big beds. Plenty of closet space and a small kitchen.

A nice quiet place in the middle of the madness!

We throughly enjoyed our 5 days in the penthouse! Its location between the French Quarter and Frenchmen street is ideal for easy walking to all the art, food and music the area has to offer. Eric was great and very responsive to the few requests we had. Look no further, this is where you want to stay.

Amazing location!

This rental was in the perfect location for our visit to the French Quarter. It’s an easy walk to anywhere in the FQ, and less than a 5 minute walk from Frenchmen Street. There’s a convenience store one block away where we could get snacks and drinks since we didn’t have a car. The neighborhood is quiet. Host was very accommodating with luggage storage for our last day in NOLA. We would definitely stay here again!

Easter in New Orleans

This Bourbon property met all of our expectations! So convenient and yet away from the chaos of the Quarter. Imagine our surprise to learn we were on the CCC route! A great treat to wake up to Saturday morning. This property will remain on our list for future NO visits.

Great location!

The location was convenient to both the French Quarter and Marigny. We enjoyed our stay and walked everywhere. The walk up to the third floor was a little toasty. The common area is not air conditioned. Because of the extreme heat we were experiencing, the rental never really cooled down, but was bearable.

Great Girls Trip location

Love this place! This is the third time we have stayed in this particular building and the first on this floor. It is gorgeous and comfortable. Good water pressure, comfy beds, blankets, extra pillows, dressers, coffee, filters, soft towels, closets...if you need it and it isn't here...then you are high maintenance or you don't really need it. If we go back to NOLA next year, same time, we want to stay here again. Easy walking distance to everything. It feels safe and is quiet at night. Perfect spot. Thank you to David for the love!

Convenient location

This was a very conveniently located apartment. We were able to walk everywhere. The owner was very helpful when our flight got changed and we arrived earlier than expected. He arranged for an early entry with very little notice. It was much appreciated. My only suggestion would be to have more bath towels. We had four of us in our group, but only three bath towels provided. We managed and everything else was great! Thanks!

The condo was in a great location to everything around. The house keepers forgot to leave the second set of towels and only had 3 was cloths but when I call the owner he was on top of it quickly, Even though it was a Sunday morning. The 44 steps to the house was a workout to all of us but you sorta get used to it by the time you leave. Great beads and pillows for sure.

Great location, awesome building!

We stayed for a long weekend & had a really great stay. The location was central to everything in the French Quarter & the restaurant recommendations were amazing. It was nice to have a coffee maker and courtyard to enjoy the mornings outside. Just be aware, this is a 3rd story walk up, expect lots of stairs to make it to your place. A few things I would recommend to the owners — the front bedroom could use some curtains, it overlooks directly onto the street and gets very bright in the mornings & after staying out late, it makes for an early wake up call. The air conditioner works well in the main living area, but doesn’t keep the bedrooms very cool, a floor fan in the rooms would definitely help. The property manager was VERY accommodating & made our stay that much better. Overall, we’d definitely stay again!

Great Place to Stay, Awful for Parking

Overall, we had a great experience staying at the Esplanade Penthouse. I was with three other adults and the place accommodated us perfectly. We were close enough to the French Quarter to walk everywhere, but also just a half block away from a favorite spot, Port of Call. We visited New Orleans for the Rock N Roll Marathon, and as our third trip down to the city, the apartment was perfect. My only complaint is the parking situation. Are there guest permits for people staying in residential rentals? We were ticketed once and our car repeatedly was marked for parking, so we had to make sure to move it continuously during the day. A drag if you live close enough to drive or rent a car.
