Fantastic house to go with the family

We rent the house for one week with the family and friends. The house is new and excellent to go with kids because they have room to play and swim outside. The owner, Davide, was nice and was always available.

Professional host

Davide informed me 3 days before arrival that he had water damage and our stay in the villa couldn’t go through. He booked our group another villa (Nicer and more expensive) 200 meters from his accomodation. Very professional host. Would recommend

Très belle villa

Cet hébergement est très bien, belle villa confortable et au calme, les chambres sont spacieuses et les lits confortables, la piscine est très agréable. Quelques points d’amélioration : il n’y avait que 2 transats et en mauvais état. Le barbecue est vraiment ridicule pour une villa pouvant accepter 6 personnes. Au niveau ustensiles de cuisine il n’y a pas beaucoup de choses, manque plats allant au four, grille pain, bouilloire, micro ondes. Situé sur la colline, à 15 min des plages et des commerces d’Avola.

Location of house in advertisement was incorrect

Watch out. The host entered a wrong location in the advertisement in our case. The location was shown to be at the foot of the hills in Avola while it was actually on top of the hills. Given the steep curves and serpentines to get up the hill this makes a huge difference as it takes about 15 min by car to climb down to Avola. After a week we had enough and wanted to leave. Host first agreed to reimburse the remaining days, but of course the money never arrived.

The announcement shows the location of the villa perfectly, in a hilly position, very close to the Cava grande reserve (same name as the villa). It is specified that it is located 7 km from Avola (between Avola and Noto). Since this is a villa outside the city, without a precise house number, the pointer on the map (which is automatically determined by the system and not by the host) is slightly offset from the villa. Precisely for this reason, immediately after booking, two months before arrival, I sent the exact location of the property, which was therefore perfectly known by the tourist.

Excellent Séjour à Avola antica

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Avola, maison, impeccable, spacieuse très agréable à vivre, superbe piscine et magnifique jardin, propriété très bien tenue, excellent point de chute pour sillonner la région et ses multiples richesses culturelles et naturelles. Les hôtes sont très attentionnés (dépots de produits régionaux, suggestions de transats de plus et peut-être préciser les horaires d'utilisation de la piscine (9H à 13H30 et de 16H à 19H) sur le site. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

La maison est belle et conforme aux photos (un peu plus belle même) sur les hauteurs d'Avola : du coup un peu excentré du centre ville (la route est pentue), dans un lotissement. Bien placée pour visiter Noto et Syracuse. Nous sommes allés à Cavagrande (gorge naturelle) a quelques kilomètres de la location. Les guides le conseille, en effet c'est à faire et c'est très beau : mais ça se mérite, 30 minutes de descente ... Et 45 minutes pour remonter. Simona et Davide ont toujours été disponibles pour nous et nous ont très bien accueillis (fruits, jus de fruit et eau dans le frigo, vin local et gâteaux). Nous voulions faire l'Etna et j'avais un doute sur la meilleure façon de le faire. Simona nous a conseillé de le faire en dehors des sentiers battus et ont réussi à nous trouver un guide parlant français disponible alors qu'il nous restait que 3 jours. Également de très bons conseils pour les restaurants : Simona et Davide ont été à notre écoute tout au long de notre séjour. Enfin, la piscine et le jardin sont vraiment très agréables : nous n'avons pas vu passer notre semaine.

Villa moderne avec de belles prestations

La villa a été refaite récemment car tout est en excellent état et très bien équipé. La piscine est très agréable ainsi que le jardin. Nous y avons passé une semaine très agréable à 5 adultes. La villa n'est pas facile à trouver. La résidence est en fait au panneau kilométrique 8 de la route SP4 en partant d'Avola. Elle est donc sur les hauteurs ce qui fait que l'on a un peu de vent bien agréable.

magnifique villa

nous avons passé 15 jours formidables dans cette magnifique villa très agréable; nous étions 3 couples d'amis et sommes unanimes pour dire que nos hôtes Simona et Davide sont très accueillants et toujours prêts à nous aider pour nous faire découvrir la Sicile. Belle villa, vacances réussies !

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette villa. Nous étions 2 familles (4 adultes et 4 enfants) et la maison était assez grande pour tous nous accueillir. La villa est spacieuse (3 grandes chambres avec rangements), confortable et décorée avec goût. Elle est très bien équipée, les meubles et électroménager sont neufs. La terrasse est très agréable pour les repas et le jardin est magnifique ! Pour finir, la piscine est le point fort de cette location : nous avons passé des heures à nous amuser entre amis et à nous rafraîchir car nous avons eu 15 jours de très beau temps avec des températures élevées. Enfin, Davide et Simona sont des personnes charmantes et très accueillantes. Ils mettent tout en oeuvre pour que notre séjour soit parfait. Ils sont attentifs à nos demandes et sont de bons conseils pour visiter la région. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les moments passés avec eux. Pour conclure, je recommande vivement cette location, vous ne serez pas déçus !

Perfect location to discover South-East Sicily

About one hour from Catania airport, the Villa is located in a relaxing environment some kilometers away from the sea, in the hills above Avola, where the air is fresher and drier than at sea level. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts Simona and Davide, who during the entire stay were extremely helpful in sorting out minor issues with the heat (no A/C, hence we needed some fans) as well as with providing us useful information for trips in the region. Three minutes drive from Cava Grande, twenty minutes from Noto and central to visiting the most interesting places in south-east Sicily such as Ragusa, Modica, Siracusa (Ortigia and Neopolis), Catania (fish market) the Etna as well as the beaches around Avola, the villa has a nice and clean swimming pool in a very nice garden where one can cool down in the afternoon after a morning trip and before going out for the passeggiata. The Villa was very clean and is fully equipped with all what a family (with children) needs. A car is a must for a stay in this villa, and driving on the roads in the "outback" is a pleasant experience. We warmly recommend this place to stay during your holidays in Sicilia and we thank our hosts for their hospitality.

Ottima scelta

Perfetto, l'immobile e' stato al di sopra delle nostre aspettative. Di presenza e' molto più bello che in foto. Praticamente abbiamo "inaugurato" gli arredi nuovissimi e di gusto. Posizione veramente strategica tra Avola, Noto e Siracusa. Ottima accoglienza del proprietario. Lo consiglio e ritornerò sicuramente.
