Perfect lodgings

During our 12 day road trip around Sicily we stayed in many different places but this was one of the very best. It met all of our needs and the balcony in the morning was most enjoyable. Our host met us, explained everything, and gave wonderful recommendations. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Convenient location, comfortable bed and beautifully decorated. On second floor. Need to take 50 steps up to get to. No elevator. Smelled of smoke.

Pierrot was an excellent host. He met us when we arrived and helped us move in. He was always available to answer our questions. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable. Ragusa is a beautiful city and very well located so we were able to visit many of the hill towns using Ragusa as our base.

Great apartment, great location.

Host Piero was very understanding of our changing travel arrangements (fire at Catania airport meant we arrived a day later than expected) and check in was smooth. Apartment was exactly as described and as in the photos - in a really old building, quirky and full of character. Rooms are comfortable and a good size. Air con works well (and we were there in the middle of the July 2023 heatwave and it was mid 40s every day). Balcony is bigger than it looks in the photos with separate areas to sit and relax or to eat at the table. The balcony is above most of the neighbouring rooftops and a lovely place to spend the early evening. Location is great for walking up to Ragusa Ibla, the oldest and nicest part of the town (about a 20 minute walk). There is a good sized Spar supermarket a 2 minute walk away and it was ideal for stocking up on the basics like water. There are also around 10 local restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We asked Piero about any he would recommend and he recommended Giro di Vite and Konza. He was 100% correct because we went to each twice and were very happy that we did. 2 things to keep in mind - parking in the area immediately around the apartment not always easy and you might have to hunt around a bit. Also, the apartment is on the top floor of the building and there are a lot of stairs to climb. These were minor details for us and we would absolutely stay in this apartment again.

Très joli appartement

Très joli appartement, très décoré (presque trop) avec une jolie terrasse meublée très agréable. Bien situé dans le centre de Raguse, la seule difficulté est de se garer dans le quartier, il faut tourner et il a parfois fallu prendre des places payantes. Piero a été un hôte charmant et attentif, souple sur les horaires.

L’accueil chaleureux, de charmantes petites surprises à l’arrivee, un petit nid douillet. On s’y sent comme chez soi. La vue de la terrasse est à couper le souffle. Rue paisible.on est resté une seule nuit, on aurait voulu prolonger. Les hôtes sont adorables. Propreté irreprochable. La gestion de l’eau n’est pas évidente pour des nords américains, mais on y arrive. A recommander chaudement.

Nice appartement with beautiful balcony

Our arrival at the appartment was amazing with some tasty snacks prepared. The owner is really nice. The appartment is beautiful and good located and we enjoyed our stay there. Especially the wonderful big balcony with a great view over the roofs.

Siamo stati in questa mansarda nel mese di agosto in 3 persone. È molto accogliente, funzionale e ben arredata. Bello anche il terrazzino, utile per cenare all'aria aperta. Il proprietario Piero è una bella persona, ci ha preparato un aperitivo di benvenuto e ci ha spiegato bene Ragusa e i suoi dintorni. Ma, tolgo una stella per un motivo, la mancanza di un climatizzatore. È vero che è stato un periodo molto caldo e anomalo, ma in estate e a Ragusa bisogna prevederlo, roba da non dormire la notte. Il sig. Piero ci ha fornito 2 piccoli ventilatori, ma non sono bastati. Poi dopo 10 giorni il caldo si è attenuato ed è diventato un clima più sopportabile. Nel complesso bella mansarda, vicina al centro e vicina alla splendida Ibla.

Grazie Donato per la bella recensione, purtroppo il clima durante il vostro soggiorno è stato particolarmente rovente, l'estate piu" calda da 120 anni a questa parte questo è quello che affermavano i notiziari, ma a quanto pare dobbiamo abituarci a queste temperature in quanto saranno una costante, di conseguenza seguirò il tuo prezioso consiglio montando un condizionatore . È stato un vero piacere ospitare Te e la tua famiglia.
