great fully equipped house in a quiet location with easy access to roads and coast, well recommended for large families / groups of friends with ample rooms and ample parking. ideal all year round .
Had a lovely holiday, the property was very clean and tidy with plenty of amenities, lovely lounge, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms especially for a party of 10.
Would highly recommend this property.
Spent a week at the property in June. House was really spacious, well furnished and spotlessly clean. House perfectly suited the 4 generations of our family. Loved the location and the walk to Wisemans Bridge was so enjoyable. It was definitely was best place we have ever stayed. Thank you Ian and Gill!
Easy to access via main roads but nestled within nature reserve.
Huge very well-equipped property for all ages children and adults. Brilliant prompt communication with the owner who did everything to resolve any additional equipment requests and issues raised. A lady meets you on arrival. Thank you for the arrival basket much appreciated after a long journey. About a mile walk to the beach along a walkway. Many trails are easily accessible from the house. Please be careful on the outside steps when they are wet Enjoyed our week's stay here with three generations.
An amazing house for a multigenerational family holiday
We enjoyed a 3 generation family holiday in this lovely house. It is very well equipped and the owner went to great lengths to provide an extra single bed so our grandchildren didn’t have to share a bed. The wet suits and kayaks were appreciated by all the family on the beautiful beaches in glorious weather.
We were met by Jill who gave us lots of useful information when she showed us round & welcomed with chilled Prosecco!
lovely light airy house with plenty of equipment and tech available for everyone. Worked very well for Christmas for our family of young adult children.
Lovely spacious property with plenty of room to accommodate a group. Lots of mod cons. Beautiful area. Use of sea kayaks and wetsuits much appreciated......as was the Prosecco on arrival!
Great house and just the right combination of rooms/bathrooms.
All the members of the family including great grandmother aged 93 found the property spot on.
We had a wonderful week. House is really comfortable and had all we needed. Great location with lovely walks to Saundersfoot from the house and down to the beach and pub at Wisemans Bridge.
We all had a lovely week. It’s a nice 15/20 minute, flat walk to Wisemans Bridge beach & a short drive to Saundersfoot & Tenby. Property was clean & spacious and basically had everything we needed. We had especially hot weather during our week and we found the top rooms hard to cool and the traffic noise disturbed the children with the windows open.
What a lovely property and location. We stayed here for a week with 8 adults and 2 children. It was a rainy week but never felt on top of each other at any point. The property is super spacious with plenty of places to get away from it if you want some down time alone. There are plenty of walks from the property which we thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend for a large group of people. We had a roof box and associated rails for 1 of the cars, with the added bonus of a garage we could remove these and store them for the entire stay which was nice. I think had the weather been nice we could have truly made the most of this lovely property as the outdoor area is idyllic too.
The property is magnificently furnished. We were two families with young adults and all enjoyed the house immensely. The facilities were extremely good, in particular the SKY TV package which we thought was a very rare addition in holiday homes.
It was lovely to sit out at the back of the property and enjoy the peace and quiet. Local shops in Kilgetty one mile away provided everything we needed for our stay.
The property is ideally located for a number of interesting places to visit; in particular the public house at Wisemans Bridge which was very scenic.
We would return to Hafan Dawel with no hesitation if we come to this part of Wales again.
Perfect house, it is spacious, modern, clean and has everything you need. It has a large sun terrace which has the sun all day. It is in a perfect location. You can walk to Wisemans Beach and iSaundersfoot. It is a short drive to Tenby.
It really is a 5 star family home! We made many happy memories here - thank you.
A large well appointed house with enough space to happily accommodate 8 adults and 2 small children without feeling crowded although the kitchen/dining area, which is large, seemed to be used most of the time. Access to Wisemans Bridge beach (pebbly/sandy but free parking!) and pub only a short walk away a real bonus. Folly Farm is very close and one of the best days out in the area.
Very receptive owner responding well to a couple of enquiries. Great space for our family of 10 ranging from 14 to 84. Everything we needed. Nearby shops and pub also helped. We were blessed with fab weather for the whole week and also managed to photograph ‘Kevin’ (our nickname) the nearly resident peacock ! A really nice place to stay.

Excellent house for families or larger groups.
Fabulous modern and spacious house with a well laid out interior. Plenty of space for larger groups. Excellent facilities in the house with quality kitchen fittings (especially the coffee maker) TV’s in all bedrooms meant everyone had their own space if needed, but the kids loved the “snug” with XBox, TV and board games. Ideally situated in beautiful location with direct access to a lovely riverside/woodland walk to Wisemans Bridge and the beach. There you will find a great pub and fabulous beach with rock pools and sand and further walks along the coast to Sundersfoot and Tenby. If your looking for a house to suit a larger group look no further, it’s a great place.!

We spent a lovely week here with ages 4-91. There was plenty of space to be together comfortably or to each find a quiet spot. Easy 30 min walk to beach and pub. Easy driving to tenby, folly farm and local shops. Every where was clean and well looked after. Hope to return one day.

Amazing experience
5 stars are not enough to explain how much was beautiful to enjoy the time in this fantastic place. Lovely atmosphere, huge property and who loves kayak can't do without it ...
Ian gave me all the informations and suggestions to visit and enjoy 100% the surrounding environment. I have been with all family from Italy and whoever is reading this review, trust me, is really worth it.
Thanks a lot for your patience and kindness, I will be back this year for my couple anniversary.

Special birthday family break away
We all had a fabulous stay at Heritage house which was well located for Amroth beach as well as Sandersfoot. We were greeted by Gill who told us about the local hot spots to visit and places to eat. The welcome items were really a nice touch especially the bottles of bubbles. The house was well laid out and even though there were 9 of us we never felt cramped. The house was also very clean and well kitted out enabling us to cook, have a bbq as well eat together. The local peacock also came to visit a few times which made our family stay even more special. I would recommend a stay at Heritage House to anyone and will be looking forward to using again ourselves. Thankyou Ian for sharing Heritage house with us.

Lovely, clean property in a good location
Stayed with 3 families and the property worked really well for us all. The kids had their own snug, whilst the adults could relax in a comfortable lounge. Kitchen was well equiped and spacious with separate utility room. Easy 20 minute walk to the beach from the property. Ian was very helpful and we had a well recieved welcome pack on arrival and guide round the property. Would reccommend.

Marvellous family/large group holiday home
This house is rather special. Its large, comfortable, modern and spacious. Parking for 3 cars. Lovely terrace with barbeque, with great views over to the river below and countryside. There are 3 canoes in the garage with wet suits for all sizes. The big and small kids loved this!! The house itself is rather nice for a rental. The kitchen is fab, with a central island and swivel bar stools. Great hob and two ovens one of which is steam, a microwave, a dishwasher and a bean to cup coffee machine. This was most useful as we love our coffee. In the utility a washer, dryer and a fridge freezer. Lots of crockery and cutlery, glasses, proper kitchen knives and other pots and pans etc to make your stay here rather homely. The dining table in the kitchen is large, but only 6 chairs, although plenty available from the garden if there are more in your party. High chair and cot available too, as are stair gates for safety. There is a rather good snug for teenagers or just a quiet space for watching TV or playing the provided Xbox. TV in kitchen, lounge and snug. Also in all bedrooms. The bedrooms are well equipped, comfortable beds, lots of storage, nicely furnished and quiet. The bed linen is of a good quality, towels are plentiful, large and soft. There are 2 showers, 2 baths upstairs. 1 downstairs toilet. 2 of the bathrooms are ensuite, then one on the 1st floor, 1 on the 2nd. The fittings in the house are of great quality, the kitchen too. I was very impressed with the house as a whole. The house is in a village, on the edge of a great walk to Wisemans Bridge. The walk takes you along the river, into a wooded walkway down to the coast. There's a great beach, small shop, car park and a really friendly pub. My family had a fabulous week in this lovely house, and we are talking about going back as soon as we can. The owner was great at keeping us informed, communication was fantastic and the house was very well presented and clean. It is a marvellous luxury holiday home.

What makes this property unique
For self catering holidays in a rural retreat, this peaceful area of South West Pembrokeshire is the perfect location. Surrounded by peaceful countryside yet still within a mile of glorious beaches and a Michelin star restaraunt. Stepaside is a small village 3 miles east of Saundersfoot, and belongs to the community of Amroth. Many years ago it was a hive of industrial activity after the Pembrokeshire Iron and Coal Company built the Kilgetty Ironworks here in 1848 but ceased operating in 1888. It is believed that Stepaside got its name from when Oliver Cromwell and his army passed through the village and asked people to step aside so that he could continue his journey to Pembroke. Nowadays Stepaside is a leafy valley ideal for self catering family holidays or short breaks, close to the sea and yet quiet enough to feel secluded.
There is a Michelin Star restaraunt in Coppet Hall which is approx 30 minutes walk or a 5 minute drive
