About the host
Hosted by Sylvie Rosenfeld
Owner and producer of Agen prunes, Côtes de Gascogne wines and Armagnac, the older eau de vie of France, I spent my childhood and a part of my teenage years in this family property. My studies and my International education drove me to live a part of the year in California. This is the essential reason why I rent my house, the Detached House, to guests who, just like me, enjoy a return to nature and all the authentic and kind things it has to offer. The family choice to get solar energy and to exploit and increase the value of the agricultural ground while respecting the organic standards make this historic 18th estate an exceptional refuge for a relaxing and peaceful but also culturally rich and varied stay in the stunning landscape of this wonderful region.
Why they chose this property
I live abroad and I don’t want my family house to be unoccupied, so it is with great pleasure that I rent it to guests who, just like me, love to recharge their batteries in an exceptional environment not polluted and without noise on a 148-acre ground fully dedicated to organic arboricultural and wine-making cultures.
What makes this property unique
The assets are the authenticity of the site with its dominating location facing the historic town of Lectoure and its 360° views, its 148-acre ground with organic vineyards and orchards, the oak rabbit warrens, the Quick tennis court, the infinity pool built on the same level as the plum trees and a beautiful 18th century stone house on a family estate composed of Charterhouse, outbuildings, cellars and vineyards. The proximity of Lectoure, 1 km as the crow flies and 2 minutes by car: the historic town of the Counts of Toulouse, former bishopric and capital of the pastel, many shops and quality restaurants as well as thermal baths that are much appreciated. Besides, it is your welcome gift: 2 entrances in the thermal baths. If you love wines and Armagnac, it is with great pleasure that we will make you taste the ones of the estate, in moderation of course!
