Absolutely worth it!

I would have loved to have stayed for much longer than I was actually able to stay. This villa had such an incredible view of the Umbrian hills from the kitchen which was definitely the most used space in the house while we were there, thanks to lovely local markets and delicious food products. I would go back in a heartbeat! We spent a lovely week with 3 families in this wonderful villa with the breathtaking view over the umbrian hills and the Trasimeno lake. The house is very clean and the furniture is very nice. Around the Villa there is a nice garden and the most fantastic thing is the swimming pool on the lower level! Rosanna was very available and helpful with everything which made you feel really 'at home'. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

A good family home

A three week journey from Sweden to Italy (and back ) The week at the villa was our rest and explore time. It turned our to be more rest than explore.. We has such a good time here - the pool, the gardens the views and facilities - all perfect and enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the pool - the views always so wonderful - an end if day cocktail either on the verandah or poolside watching the sun set, marvelous . We managed two trips one to the lovely (very lovely) town in Cortona and another day in Pienza (with almost a good a views as the villa!) then, the week past and homeward to Stockholm .. A great find, a lovely family home

An oasis for travellers

For me "Villa la Fontana" was the most exciting and loveliest estate to spend my holidays in Italy. As soon as I arrived I fell in love with this wonderful and special place. All the rooms have their own spirit, and are very well kept. Especially the garden with the swimming-pool is a big "wow". The location is just perfect to make day trips to Perugia, Lago Trasimeno, etc. and to discover beautiful Umbria.I will definitely return to "Villa la Fontana" as fast as possible to see all the plants and flowers in their full bloom. Last but not least I have to mention Alviero and Rosanna. She's the one who makes your holiday an unforgettable journey into the heart of Italy. I'd recommend it 100 per cent.
